Analysis: Ryder Cup has been a ‘disaster’ for Team USA

During the second day of the Ryder Cup, Team USA tried to close the gap. After a series of matches, the score now stands at 11.5 to 4.5 – a “disaster” that would take a miracle to overcome, CNN’s Don Riddell reports.

  1. That's a good summary. We were only aggressive in the light of continuous abuse. Our talented players fought back with civility and discipline. The American Way does not work as it should.

  2. I hope the Ryder cup doesn't have this event ever again on American Soil. What an embarrassment. Our country has turned into a hateful place to live.

  3. Get rid of the Ryder Cup. Other than the Waste management tournament it's my least favorite and it brings out the worst in people.

  4. Personally as a 62 year old American who has watched the Ryder Cup since my teens this was the 1st time I rooted against the Americans. It happened the moment Keegan said "he thought things were going to turn around cause the president just flew over and is on his way"…yeah the criminal and the guy who is everything polar opposite of the game of golf. I don't care how many courses he owns he has no honor, no etiquette, cheats and lies and is the poorest sport known to man. His arrival was my departure from the U.S team.

  5. Yea the place was rockin’, USA USA USA!!! Then it all went sideways. And the critters under the rock came out in force….We’ll win, by hook or crook!! Screaming bloody epithets at EURO players and spouses.Whadda classy bunch of losers! NOT!!!!! LMFAO!!!!!!!!

  6. Disgusting American society on full display. Loud, obnoxious, and rude.
This is what a country in decline looks like.
China will cripple the US. So its only gonna get more vile and stupid.

  7. Some would call it karma, but maybe the Americans just couldn't play golf and deal with the embarrassment of being surrounded by an army of mindless partisan shitheads as well as the Europeans.
