Hello, it’s Dan Webster here at Litham Golf Academy and today I’m going to have a little chat with you about Tommy Fluid’s not so secret weapon. Yes, the mini driver. Controversial. It’s a bit like Marmite. I think you either love it or you hate it. For me, I think it’s a brilliant idea for those of you struggling with your driver. And I’m going to tell you why in a little while. However, right now, I’d love it if you went and hit that subscribe button, join the community, help me grow the channel, comment below, give that notification bell a little tick as well to make sure you don’t miss out on future videos. Got some great things happening a minieries about power. So, uh, stay tuned. It’s the quad mini driver. Now, I go back a bit and I used to use the R seven driver from Chade a few years ago. Retro. It looks stylish. I like the two weights of the front. the head doesn’t look too big when you set down to it. This is something I think you can use off the deck and but also, you know, it’s a confidence giver. The question I’ve got really, I can hit my driver around about 250 in the air on average. How far back would this be? I’ve got a GT quad. I’m going to get some numbers from it. I want to see what my ball speed is like and also carry distances from the Mini. Looks delightful behind the ball. I mean, that’s right out the middle. Um, carry distance on that 242. Ball speed 144. So, 242 in the air. So, eight yards short than my driver. Ball speed 144. 2,100 backspin and 12° of launch. That’s a good set of numbers. First off, that’s my first hit, by the way, with this club. Came right out the middle of the club face there. Look at that ballpoint. Quite happy with that. This is my drive. I’m using Callaway Elite Triple Diamond at the minute. And that is a good inch, inch and a bit, inch and a half shorter than mine. This is a stiff flex. And we’ve got 11 and a half degrees off. My driver’s eight. I hit up on the ball quite a lot. Didn’t feel like I needed to hit up on this one. Let’s give it one more. So we can get another gooden. That felt good again. Really like that. I’m actually drawing it into a little crosswind here as well. There’s quite a strong breeze in the UK today. Um, so yeah, Tommy, why is Tommy using this? You know, he wants a fairway finder. He wants to be able to put something under pressure situations on the fairway. And I think, you know, the shorter shaft nowadays, modern drivers, 45inch long shafts, it’s too long. It’s like swinging a broomstick around. Yes, the heads are bigger, but you got a long way to swing and coordinate it. Short shaft 43. That’s what the driver used to be back in the day when I started playing. 43 in shafted driver. This makes a lot of sense. head size a lot smaller. I’m not going to give you the exact number. You’ll be able to find it, I’m sure. I’ll probably add it below the numbers I’m getting off it. You know, 240 in the air. That’s a great 256 carry. 256 carry, 142 ball speed, 17 launch, 1700 backspin. That’s quite low spinning. That’s gone a long way. Um re really really impressed with that. Wow. I’m speechless there. That was a big hit from the mini. Wow. That is superb. I mean that. Okay, last one. I mean, if you haven’t had a go with one of these, get yourself That was awesome again. Get yourself down to your local PJ Pro. Go and spend some time with them. See if you can try one out. Head here to Lind Golf Academy. We’ve got a fitting club available. If you’re looking for a driver that gets you back in play, um maybe you’re a bit struggling certainly on tighter par fours or a second shot on a par three. That’s what I’ll do. But if you’re hitting one of these for your second shot on a par three, you probably want to come and have a chat with us, get some coaching. Let’s see if we can get off the deck with this cuz this is really does appeal to me. Tail mage, you have made a cracking golf club. Yeah. I mean, that’s just great. Right out of the middle again. I could I mean, as you hit it, you can feel how good it is. It’s obviously not going to carry as far. I think it’s a little bit more spin. Yeah. No, it’s good. 220 in the air. One for one ball speed, launch angle of 10°. I really just want to carry on hitting this. You talk amongst yourselves. I’m going to give a few more. Let’s play a little cut with it. Little slider. Yeah. Look at that. Okay. So, Tommy’s gonna be putting this into use. sure that Beth Paige um comment below tell me how many points you think Tommy’s going to get in the RDER Cup. I think he’s going to feature him and Rory playing together as a partnership. What do you reckon? I think so. We’re always going to be looking at this a lot and borrowing it off Tommy. I reckon when he sees how well he does with it. Last shot. But yeah, please join the community. Give us a like and subscribe if you enjoy the content. Don’t miss out on anything we got coming up in the future. Working hard to grow the channel. Please help me do that. I’d appreciate it. R seven mini some quad mini driver from tailor made. We really really like that. That’s launched well. Last set of numbers. 143 ball speed 15.9 launch 236 carry 3,000 backspin. That launched a bit more like I’d expect it to. Thank you for watching. Hope you enjoyed that. I’m out of breath, but I’m very, very impressed. See you soon.
