The Ryder Cup’s Future Iconic Resort!

What makes Camiral worthy to host the Ryder Cup?
To find out, we began our journey in the vibrant city of Barcelona. From the bustling streets, we
drove through the rolling Catalan countryside. Our destination is Camiral, a Quinta do Lago Resort,
a place with ambition, beauty, and the potential to host Gulf’s greatest rivalry. The question
is, does it live up to the dream? A little bit nervous. I don’t know why. Oh, yeah. It’s such a
good shot. Wow. Okay. Some say Camiral is a bold choice. It’s too punishing, maybe too staged, or
just too perfect. But then you look closer and you start to see why the world’s biggest team event
might just belong here. Every hole seems designed to make players question themselves. How will
the pros handle this? Will we see risk rewarded or punished? And what secrets does Camiral hide
that could turn a Ryder Cup match upside down? The green is so far away and there’s a massive
water hazard. How is that going to stop? The green’s a 10.5 stint. I’ve got a down slope. Like
genuinely, how? Because I can’t hit an eight to get more loft. I actually hit have to hit a seven.
Oh. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. I have to get my wet suit on. Oh no. Oh, it’s in the water. I mean, I feel a
bit robbed, to be honest. Can Camiral really live up to the Ryder Cup? Well, if we’re analysing the
stadium course first, it has strategically placed bunkers and greens that seem to challenge every
instinct. But is brilliance enough, or does the course demand something more? Something only the
world’s best players can uncover under pressure? Every hole feels like a test. Every shot is
a potential turning point and you can’t help but wonder, will this be a venue that produces
historic Ryder Cup moments? For some reason, even though I won, uh, I’m the one who needs a lesson,
but I’m happy to have one because the academy here is really, really nice. I have a feeling this
lesson is going to be really good as well. So, I’m happy I’m the one who can have the the lesson
actually. Hola. Hola. Hello. How are you? Um, give me a drill for like what do you call it when you
Yeah, we have or fishing. Yeah. As we stood by the range, we couldn’t help but notice how carefully
this has all been designed. Immaculate turf and the latest technology. Every detail was set up
to help you really work on your game. At Camiral, the practice facilities aren’t just an add-on.
They’re an experience worth taking time for. But wait, there’s a second course here at Camiral, the
2031 Ryder Cup venue, which is just as beautiful and just as playable as the stadium course. The
Tour Course is the second course at Camiral, and it’s a fantastic test for golfers visiting
Camiral. It’s got wide fairways, flowing holes, and plenty of strategic options. It’s enjoyable
for all levels and offers its own challenges. The stadium course was built with championship golf in
mind. Every green is angled for maximum challenge. Every fairway shapes strategy and the terrain
naturally creates tension and spectacle. Could the tour deliver rider cup drama? Well, it’s great for
golfers and with its tight fairways and elevated tea boxes, it could be something quite special.
Right, golfers, I want to speak to you quickly. Have you ever played golf in the Algarve? But
more specifically, have you played golf at Dom Pedro Old Course? Because this looks like it’s
twin. I mean, you’ve got the beautiful pine trees, you’ve got great conditions, you’ve got sun.
Not for us today, but for most of the part, you’ve got sun. But this golf course is kind of
reminding me of that Dom Pedro golf course, which is a highly rated golf course in the Algarve, but
you’ve got it here in Girona. It is blowing me away. And what’s great about this one is let’s not
forget that yes, this is a quality golf course, but you’ve also got the stadium course. So, you’ve
got two fantastic golf courses. And honestly, in my opinion, I know the stadium is, you know,
the most spoken about, the most popular, but I’m struggling to see necessarily why because it’s not
a huge difference. You don’t, it’s not night and day. It’s got to be the minute details. So, let’s
give this one a go. I’ll probably hit it into the trees, but wish me luck. In the end, it all comes
back to the stadium course. The star of the show and potentially the reason why Camiral was chosen
to host the Ryder Cup in 2031. Every fairway and every hazard, every green has been designed to
challenge the best in the world. It’s dramatic, it’s punishing, and it’s built for unforgettable
Ryder Cup moments. The tour offers visiting golfers an incredible experience in its own right
and a chance to enjoy Camiral in a more relaxed way. But it’s the stadium course that demands
the spotlight. So, is Camiral truly worthy of the Ryder Cup? After seeing it for ourselves, the
answer is simple. This place was built for it.
