The man that secured exactly what his team needed. And all the hearts will go to Shane Lowry for his amazing finish. A day I think that will be remembered for some time to come. Absolutely magnificent, wasn’t it, Yan? It’s just It looked like it was in the bag. You know, it’s never in the bag. You’ve got to earn it. And the Americans made us earn it. But now the celebrations can begin. Look at the emotion. What a captain. I mean, it was in the bag at the start of the day, wasn’t it? And then it comes down to a gutwrenching half a point victory. Isn’t that unbelievable? [Applause] I’m sure Luke didn’t have as many gray hairs as that uh 9:00 this morning. [Applause] [Music] A fabulous effort over the first four sessions. No question about that for Donald side. But you have to admire the American comeback today. Slowly but surely they kept chipping away. It put the element of doubt in there and it took the brilliant ser of Larry, the steady nerve of Hatton to finally complete the job. The Ryder Cup belongs to Europe. It’s nice of him to build a great big giant stand for the European fans, isn’t it? I tell you who I haven’t seen is Rory. I think he’s uh seriously gutted from his performance today. You know, it’s been a gut-wrenching week. Haven’t seen him down there yet to celebrate.

Excellent effort from the "no quit" USA but the truth is that Europe absolutely battered them even though the final score did not reflect it. The win was assured after day 2 with a record breaking 4 session trouncing of the USA on their own turf by team Europe. It got very dark real quick for the Americans at Bethpage Black and it stayed that way right to the end.
It was a win dedicated to the people of Gaza, Palestine.
