Stop using the correct golf grip. If you’re someone who spends time fighting with your golf grip, maybe you’re too far turned over this way and you struggle with hooks. Maybe you’re weak in your hold, so turned over too far this way and you’re always losing shots high and off to the right. You’ve probably been given some lessons, watched some videos on how to grip it. And that’s fine. You want to hit some shots gripping it that way. But you need to start hitting another amount of shots. So add these into your practice where you start using all the wrong grips. So hit five or 10 shots where you have a really strong grip. So everything turned over to the right. Hit shots. See what patterns come out. See what shape of shots come out. See how good or bad your strikes are. You’re already using a weak grip. Getting used to a very strong grip will make the neutral grip feel really easy. Biggest problem I see with golfers when it comes to their golf grip is they’re not robust enough to change it because they’re so busy practicing one way. Practice strong, practice weak, which turned over this way, and then find that middle ground. Because remember, good players don’t all use the same grip. They could be here, they could be here, or they could be somewhere in the middle. The best skill with golf grip is being robust enough to change it to find your perfect golf grip. That’s a rip.
