Disc Golf Pro Tour Test | Kayak Point Disc Golf Course

[Music] Huh, this looks like a cool course. Coming down that back n which is much more scorable than the front. Starting off with one of those deep par threes. Man, that doesn’t look very hard. I could do that. Back n which is much more scorable. Welcome back to this day. I’m Dale and today we’re taking on a prolevel course and you’re going to get to watch my butt get a whipped. Oh, let’s rock. But in order to do that, I had to fly to Seattle, Washington, where of course I took in the sights, joined by my lovely wife, Brenda, and silent sister. We explored everything the city had to offer. Don’t believe what Brenda says. There’s more to my life than just disc golf. And yes, that’s a wall made of gum. Before I knew it, we had made it to Kayak Point, the disc golf resort. The property is phenomenal with its own pro shop range, and you guessed it, golf carts, not to mention the three 18hole courses, including the championship level behemoth. I came to conquer my caddies for the day. Hole number one here at Kayak Point is a 65 ft par straight downhill into a headwind. Hopefully, I don’t flip this thing over into the woods. What did I say about flipping it over? Roll right and know the fairway. Simon line balance. Something stable over on the right here. We’re looking for a par, but we’ll take a bogey. Trying to shoot somewhere around plus five to plus 7. That’s what we’re aiming for because even is 1,000 rated. And we both know, you mean all the daylights. Thousand rated ain’t where Dale’s at. We’re going to lay up for the bogey. Get out of here. Oh no. Okay. No, you didn’t go too far. And I will. And I will. I will around. You guys ever wanted her to drive your golf cart? Just let her know. Nope. Nope. These aren’t for me. She’s struggling a little bit driving the golf cart. What nice amenities here at Kayak Point. Um, it’s on an old ball golf course. Absolutely stunning fairways. Hold to 435 ft. A little bit less of a smash here, but you are losing a bunch of distance as you’re coming off the tea. And then the hill comes back up. So, we’re probably going to take the wave, have it smash out there, and have it come back. That was nice. Okay. No, that was horrible. Oh, just a little YouTuber putting to the first par4 of the course. Hole number three, 711 ft. It’s a doozy. We are going to go patent pinning wave again. Have it come out. Hopefully finish enough to the right. Not crazy turn, but you wanted to turn right by that last tree in the sun that you see out there. Wow. Well, that was ugly. But you know what? Every uh pearl is once in a clam. Okay. Yeah. You’re Well, you don’t know. Okay. I’d rather I’d rather be out and be able to see everything. [Music] Um, got to throw it through that gap right there, right to the right of our lovely golf carts. Nice. There we go. Beautiful, boys and girls. There we go. That was kind of a do or die moment, folks. Hole number four, 618 ft. Very similar to hole to what we saw just a second ago, except we got the downhill. So, we can just go ahead and blast this disc out there into the fairway and the basket is hidden. Very tricky tricky green. If you’re all we’re really wanting out of these shots down the fairway in the middle of the fairway, we’re going to go wrath. Hopefully, just hold it out here and have it come back down because it is sloped. So, we’re actually going to do something slower. We’re actually going to go piglet reactor and have it come in a little bit a little bit slower. Brenda, thank you very much. You were a great caddy there. Gave me a nice line of sight. Um, I did my best. You did. You did great. Watch your step here as you’re coming down. Wow, that was a little nervous putt. Can you tell, guys? Hey, we’re only one over. Hole number five here. Kayak Point Golds is a par three 510 ft hole. It is absolutely downhill. I mean, just that’s coming out, but should be down there. All right, I ain’t mad about this. Um, we’re way too far to be running this. We’re just going to go ahead and take a little Neo here. That’s my cat, Neo. Uh, Watt Ross is borrowing my Doc Brown Watt. Just going to lay this up. Oh, perfection. Look at him just sitting there. Absolutely beautiful. Absolutely parked. Don’t worry, Ross. She’s relaxing with me. Like we’re in freaking Jurassic Park, man. Oh my gosh. So pretty. Next T box. Hole number 7. 421 ft par three. Huge loss of elevation. So I am going to go with something a little less stable on a hiser flip. Not much of a hiser flip there. Poy, you’re not going to be able to tell where we are right now, but the tea box is way up there and uh Dale pulled it right into the woods. So, we’re going to take our medicine and we’re just going to punch right out. We’re out. Don’t roll, baby. Don’t. And there she goes. Sometimes when you take your medicine, you still get sick. Wow. Oh, it’s on me right now. I want it on you. All right, here we are, guys. Oh, a little bit higher. We could have saved the the dubs, as they say. Oh, and the course finally shows its teeth to Dale. Very overgrown. Knew there was going to be some holes like that at some point, but it is what it is. Hole number seven. 421 ft. Finally, a little bit shorter of a hole here, but they give you something difficult right off the bat. You got to choose a line here. Left gap, right gap. I am tempted to go roller left side gap and get it up there as far as I can. All right, Neo watt here. Keep it low. Try to give it a nice little park job. Didn’t keep it low. Hole number eight. 648. Going for the bogues on this one. Absolutely open fairway for the first what 400 ft. The last 250 ft you are going into the woods completely or around the left side and hoping for a gap that you can find in between these trees. Just looking for max distance on this throw here for this uh noodle arm. Right in the middle of the fairway. We’ll take that any day of the week. Well, even after a great shot like that, we still got another full catalyst shot here. I wanted to go servo, but I think we’re going to go ahead and try and get the extra distance on the catalyst. Hopefully give ourselves a putt. Oh, this was easily accessible, guys. I don’t know how I ended up in here. What in the world? Angle on how it looks over here. Mission successful. Uh we’re going for the bogey on this one or as originally planned. Shabuya. Well, we’ve come to an extremely difficult hole here. Uh Brenda’s going to go ahead and throw this shot perfectly for me. Oh no. Okay. Got you. Hole number nine. 510 ft. Par4. Thinking I have a chance at a birdie walking up to the tea box. And then you see the gap. what looks like no gap truly unless you can flex something correctly and then have it cut back at the end. We are going to try to turn over the servo here and end up on the right. Hopefully have it flex out into the sun. Oh, that one is good. So, we are all the way back there, folks. And we made it out with the servo. There you go. Sometimes it pays to disc down a little bit. Good tree. It actually helped kick me up there a little bit. We’ll take it though, ladies. That’s our first birdie putt. Yeah. Oh yeah. Brenda, you’re my lucky charm. That was great. We made a birdie. Yeah, baby. Yeah, baby. Yeah. I’m hungry. I’m going to go ahead and submit this for world’s prettiest disc golf shot. This is rated number four in the state of Washington. And you can see why by views like this. I mean, that is absolutely gorgeous. Total loss of elevation as you’re going down here. A lot similar to hole number one. So, we will be throwing the catalyst knowing what it’s going to do this time. I’m I’m throwing the catalyst. Get up. Hey, I like it being in the middle of the fairway. That could have been so fun. At least I know where it is. Go catalyst again and try to actually get this to swing right, come back left for a putt. Throwing nose down, aren’t I? He’s a bro. What did you just say to me off camera? Did you mean to do a roller? The disrespect. I just really want to make this a challenge for myself. Look at her over there. I called it. You’re welcome. If it wasn’t for my butt, we would be in trouble today, guys. Look at this weird little like caving like Get out of here. Sung on me. Oh, hole number 11. 762 foot par4. Now I really wish I’d bed that last one. Nice little rip there, guys. Nice little rip. There we go. Right into the middle. No problems. Just when you think you’ve had a big old shot, you uh feel Oh, you feel really short. Wow. The power in that. Oh my gosh. Oh, get down. Get down. There was power in that. There was power. I felt it. Power in that. She felt it. It’s like you got all the infinity stones. Well, I did get to keep my gauntlet. So, that’s great. It’s like a Ross beanie shot. Beanie. Oh my gosh. Watt’s flying great. Pretty excited for that tournament where we’re throwing the watt. Don’t know your own power. [Music] This is actually a getable power force. See, when you doubt yourself, Brens, you shouldn’t. Oh, dell no. Hole number 12. A little bit of a funky one here. 234 ft. Seems like a great birdie opportunity, but it’s a doozy. What you’re looking at right here is uh just a wall. This is called taking your medicine, boys and girls. God. Oh, this is a sad bogey. This course is crazy. Hole number 13. We need to start preserving strokes here. So, we are going to play this four par cuz if we’re on the left, it’s fine. So, I’m just going to pump out probably the fision dimension out there and hopefully just have it finish up on the left. Throw down, get the par, and walk out of here. Forehand is probably best. So, I’ll just go forehand entropy. YouTuber putt. Hole number 14. The big old boy. 834 ft. I’m wanting something to just go out there straight. Hopefully get up on that ridge so I can go down. Going to go with the big old Annie. the fision wave. Kind of like that, right? What I really love about this place, besides the fact that it’s clearly kicking my butt and just goes to show how good those pros are, is that no matter where you land, even if you’re in the fairway, it’s still a smash. After that, Aaron up shot, which has just been the story of the day. Ross literally said, “Hey, your upshots better be good.” Jinx. Hole number 15. 471 ft. Little bit uphill on this one over this small valley over on the right side of the path. We’re going to punch and we’re going to aim for that big old little bush down there. Just like that, folks. Just like that. What were we aiming for? A big old bush tree. This is just the day of trying to save par with a putt. Oh, dell no. Oh, maybe I just should have YouTube putted it. Coming into hole 16. Chance for a birdie. I’d love to get it under seven par. I’d love to get in under seven. If there was a chance to birdie, it’s right now. Hole 16. 309 ft. Tight little gap here. Easier to hit with the forehand. Pretty good. That was dead straight. Didn’t hook quite as much as I wanted, but got I think all the distance it needed. Oh, Dale. No. Oh, last chance for the bird. Ah, hole number 17. 825 ft of absolute craziness. We’re going to go catalyst here. Try to hit Brenda out there out on the out on the hill. Absolutely crazy long hole, guys. Um, just want to say thanks for uh being with me today as we try and try and shoot plus seven. Think we might have done it, guys. Right below Brenda. All right. I really wish I could show you guys the the drop elevation as we’re seeing here. I was I was way up there. Looks a lot further than it is. And now we’re just throwing straight uphill. Skied. Skip shot. Brenda putt. Wow. Hole number 18. 426 ft. This has been an adventure. We almost hit our goal, guys. So, I’d like to just get out of here. Something simple. We can make that work. Little catalyst only YouTube putt. Oh yeah. Woohoo. Got my husband. That’s crazy. I mean, guys, this course is beautiful. If you have a chance to come check it out, go check it out. We only missed our goal by one stroke there. All it took was birdie that short little chipper with the forehand and then not bogey number 17, which I just didn’t I didn’t really look at that shot. Should have shot it. I have a range fighter for a reason. But absolutely wonderful place. Hopefully come back here again uh and improve on that score because that’s what we want to do, isn’t it? Exactly. But uh this has been discing with Dale. I said, what I told you I promised you five to seven. But you know what? Not too mad. This is a crazy course. Crazy fun though. Crazy fun.

I took my frisbee golf skills on the road to a pro level disc golf course good enough to host the disc golf world championship. Kayak Point Disc Golf Resort is an absolutely gorgeous track of a disc golf course located in Seattle Washington. My discs and I had quite the challenge for this championship level course, but luckily my wife Brenda was so supportive.

Hi I’m Dale, time to play some disc golf.
