Driver Drill That’s Always Fixes a Slice #golftips #golf

So, if you’re slicing the golf ball, it’s because your heel is winning the race. It’s beating the toe to the golf ball. So, here’s one of our favorite drills that always works when it comes to closing the face. Get yourself an impact bag or just something that you can place a foot in front of where the golf ball will be. And the idea here is to simply just get the toe of the club into the bag. Do it slow to start with just to create the awareness, but get the toe of the club working into the bag. You are not going to slice the golf ball from here. Because we always say if the golf ball is the finish line, the toe needs to win the race, not the heel. So do a few of these, get the toe into the bag, and then hit a shot. I guarantee the first shot your ball will work from right to left. And if you’re a slicer, that is music to your ears. So let’s get this ball working from right to left. There we go. Got the toe in the bag.

Always fighting a slice with your driver? This simple swing key – “get the toe to win the race” From my experience this drill guarantees a squarer club-face and straighter drives, especially if you are someone who leaves the face open through impact.

  1. closing the club face sounds good, but if your club path is from outside to inside, you'll end up hooking the ball?!
