But I tell you, I’m I’m using the same ball and it is eating it up. Is it? Yeah, you can just feel it. Might need a new rock by by hole three. So, [Music] [Applause] welcome back everybody. Mitch and Joe here to preview the new MG5 wedges from Tailor Made. I’m a huge fan of Tailor Made wedges. I’ve always loved the fact that they have a raw face since what, I think MG2. Yeah, this has been a phenomenal uh change of pace for Tailor Made doing the forged wedge. And if you’re not familiar, titleless wedges, Vokei wedges, they’re actually all cast, unless you go to Japan. So, uh, really cool to be able to have a mainstream forged wedge here. I know Mizuno does some of those. Ping has done, uh, forged wedges in the past as well. Uh, it’s nice to see Tailor Made fresh to the game here. Yeah. No, these are these are great wedges. I I was personally game the MG4s for the last year. I love them. um fit really well in a lot of people’s bags and the way that they swing the club. I mean, the face technology on the MG line is is phenomenal and and last year, you know, with the micro grooves, the raw face, just the normal grooves. I mean, it all it does is just help you spin the ball more, right? Stop on the green, get it up high with the loft, get that spin really, really work in there, right? Um I’ve seen nothing but great things. Like I said, a lot of golfers are playing them nowadays, and I haven’t heard one negative thing about the MG4s, and now they’ve released the MG5s. So, I’ve got the I’ve got the the 58 degree here, 10 bounce. I really want to look at, you know, kind of the the spin numbers I’m getting launch numbers. I mean, over 10,000. And right away, I mean, first swing with the new wedges here, you can see exactly where that hit, right? It’s right on that right above that first groove there, right in the middle. Right? I’m just really showcasing where I hit it, you know, as anything. But the ball shows up, instant feedback as to where you hit that, right? And that’s really a testament to to how grippy these clubs are, right? Yeah, that was almost 11,000 right there. That’s a lot of spin. Yeah. I mean, that’s ripping back for sure. It is. Not on a Trackman fairway, but on a green. Absolutely. So, I I’ve been gaming Voki wedges for a really long time, Joe. But if I wasn’t gaming Voke wedges, I would absolutely be gaming MG4s, MG5s. Now, I I I love the look of them, love the feel. So, I’m really interested to see since you play in game the MG4s, how you compare that feel. Yeah. I mean, consistency there. 89 to 93. Yeah. Yeah. Don’t worry about that little guy. That little guy. No, it I mean it feels very similar. Feels like a wedge, right? Full swing wedge. Do you notice any difference with the forged or is it still the fact the face is carbon? It’s hard to tell. You know, I tell you what, when it’s not directly off the center, you you get the feedback. It’s a little bit more clunky, I guess, now that you mention it. Uh, a little bit maybe clunky is not the word. What am I thinking? Muted, soft, just firmer. It just feels firmer when it’s off center hits. Yeah. And that’s just I mean, I would expect to hear the opposite. So, that’s actually really interesting. Yeah. I mean, if it’s forged, it’s softer. Okay. Right. So, I would expect you to say it’s more muted, right? That sort of a thing. So, it’s interesting to see. Would you like me to say that, Mitch? No, I would. I can. Okay. Did tailor made No, I want you to be honest with me. Did Tailor made get to you? It feel really muted. No. All right. Let’s try some uh Let’s try like some 70 yard shots, maybe. Okay. Yeah, let’s do 70. Hold on. Let me put in a new tag here. 71. 71. You’re too good, Joe. Not very relatable. [Music] Little bit interesting. You I mean we hit that one harder, right? Yep. A little bit more ball speed. Must have hit it maybe a little bit more on the toe. Went a little left. So that make might make a little sense. But spin rate actually dropped down 400 RPMs close to it. 350. Very nice. I mean, yeah, consistent spin numbers, consistent height, distance. Yeah, these are very nice. Y I love the feel. Let’s do like a 50 yarder. 50 yard. Yeah, let’s just drop another 20 yards. Okay. Did that one feel clickier or clunkier, too? No, that one felt really good. Yeah, it was very solid off the face. It felt, you know, soft. Just a just a good feeling shot. Yeah. I mean, they feel good. Yeah. Very nice. Very very nice. But I tell you, I’m I’m using the same ball and it is eating it up. Is it? Yeah. You can just feel it, right? So, I mean, if you’re if you’re taking a few wedge shots with the same golf ball, you might be, you know, might need a new rock by by hole three. So, really really consistent with with all your yardages for sure. Yeah. Pretty dang good, Joe. Yeah. Couldn’t do any better myself. Tell you what. Yeah. No, they it the the feel is amazing. It doesn’t feel far off from what I’ve what I’ve been playing, right? Um, but like I said, I’ve always seen really good spin numbers with my tailor-made wedges, and I think that these are going to, you know, follow suit. So, yeah, I think it’s going to be easy transition for you. 100%. Yeah, absolutely. Thanks for watching, everyone. Please don’t forget to like and subscribe, um, and check out the channel.
