The first leg of the FedExCup Playoffs kicks off this week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind. Scottie Scheffler returns to action as he begins his march to win back-to-back FedExCup trophies – something that has never been done before. Only Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods have won more than one FedExCup. Joining him is Hideki Matsuyama who looks to become the first golfer to go back-to-back at TPC Southwind since 2017. Teeing it up alongside these two, are some of the world’s best, including Xander Schauffele, Viktor Hovland, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa and Keegan Bradley.

Every single time I’ve walked down this range, I swear Kentley has been hitting in the same spot every day. Uncle Joe, just wearing it out. Tiger hit that many balls. Typically, I’m going to go to the straight to the range cuz I’m already loose. Uh I don’t hit a ton of balls, especially when it’s 100°. But I’ll work on some things that maybe I thought I struggle with a little bit today. Um, specifically I’ve it’s kind of the same thing. I’ve been fighting a little bit, just leaving the face open, hanging some outright. Definitely some T- shots that like I struggle with. Any T- shots that I missed today or just not really hitting well, I’m going to try and lock those in. You think any I struggled with today? I mean, just just a few T- shots. I thought we hit a couple of those. Just picturing I’m definitely going to hit some T- shot. I’m trying to think any like approach shots. Oh, maybe when you come down a little bit. Yeah, really good. They do. They work when I do that. It just I have to be a little bit more like robotic this week. I have to like Yeah, just stick to what I’m doing versus being like shaping a ton of shots. I mean, I came out of that wedge on two, but I also hit that same wedge on 15 to like 2 ft. So, I mean, I still made birdie four hung in the face. I don’t feel any extra pressure, but I think I am one of the lucky ones that doesn’t have pressure on them right now. Like, I’m pretty much locked up for East Lake, so I don’t have to worry about that. And I’m still a billion points behind Scotty, so there’s not really too much pressure just given the situation I’m kind of in. Now, usually this is the part of the warm-up where I’m giving Jeff about football, but I don’t know if that’s within the scope of this video. So, our football teams played tonight, first preseason game, Cleveland and Carolina. So, we’ll shift from golf to football talk here in about 5 minutes. We do need to make a bet on it, though. We don’t have any action on it yet. I mean, I agree. It’s also a preseason game. I’m not looking to like break the bank with any bet like Yeah, we can keep it light. I’m thinking like um an afternoon off or something like that. Wait a minute. Afternoon off. That means you win both ways. You either get an afternoon off cuz you get to leave or you get an afternoon off cuz I leave. Yeah. Then maybe we negotiate something else. Does it work at all? I think with how I’m playing right now, this course is a good fit. Uh, I think the last few days, I even really since I got here, I felt really good with the driver and hitting fairways is probably more important than anything else. Since the driver’s been good, that’s given me a lot of o opportunities. Wedge has been good. I’ve been making some putts. So, I’d say I’ve played well outside of maybe about a 1 hour period yesterday where I just kind of couldn’t get anything really going. 176 Yeah, I was trying to frame 15 and like up that. Okay. Like you see how these trees are here? Yeah. I think that’s similar to 12 though. You have that bunker just left of the Well, if Okay. You want me to do 12? Yeah. Then I’m going to use the bunker as the bunker and try and feed it off of that. You see that? I do. That hole’s going to be a lot easier if I do that. wouldn’t kill you. Uh, no. I mean, that’s back in that bunker, though. That’s not left of the bunker, but that’s probably in that first bunker. We’re looking to land something off of this right edge of this bunker. Right in here around 300 yds off the tea. But if we miss it a little right, water not not the place to be. So, a lot of guys are going to hit it into the left bunker. We want to split the we want to split the two. So, we want to dial that in. I think that was dry right of the water. One more good one. I need two more good ones after how bad that last one was. If you got wind off the right, that’s probably pretty good. I think that’s good regardless. Unless it’s like hard left, right wind or something. Okay. Direct line. Probably go threewood off 15. It just fit that shape. Should be good. Nice shooting there. Yeah. Nice. I think tomorrow we’re going to have less than a 100 yards for our third shot. Maybe for the first time. Maybe. I didn’t have any guaranteed um signature event starts to even start the year. So, the fact that I played most all of them and I got my first win and I’m showing up to the playoffs locked up for East Lake is crazy. I was going to I was going to hit a few chips. Yeah, you got balls or Okay. I was not going to hit a lot, but I just wanted to hit a few. Just didn’t really hit many chips today, which is a good thing. But BG two under through five. He’s good. What’s up? I just saw it maybe a year ago. Y’all are so old. I have no idea what you’re talking about. Really? Oh, you got to long. Oh my Denny Anist. How old are you? I’m 30. Okay. What? The bed still I I don’t watch movies and it pisses you up off so much. I don’t always chip after the round. I’m chipping today because I didn’t really chip much today on the course. So, I just want to feel a few shots. All it is is just a few basic movements and then just seeing the ball hit the green, seeing what they’re doing. and hit these two and I’m good. I’ll look at the whole locations when they come out tonight and kind of come in the next morning, maybe talk about a couple things, but there’s not too much strategy talk ahead of time. Most of that’s done like early week. If you’re in the fairway, you can kind of attack a lot of the pins. So, I think uh for the most part, I’m playing pretty aggressive this week. Oh, no. Still works. Jeff has started clawing it. He’s convinced it works. First time he tries at home, he’s going to have 35 putts and shoot like 87. I think Windom might be the only tournament where it’s possible we could be better off with you putting than me. I want to either make it or tap in every single time. I don’t want to have to think about my second putts. speed has gone south a little bit. Just hit them with good speed. So, that right there is the easiest putting drill anybody’s ever learned, done, I don’t know, practiced. Nine holes. Every hole is two putt or par two. Got to shoot even par better. Doesn’t seem like much, but I’ve been the best lag putter on tour for like two, three years in a row since I started doing it. So, we end every day with that drill until we get it right. If you guess it works. I don’t know. We don’t do it. We do. Three putt avoidance has gone got a little worse this year, but been pretty good at three putt avoidance and lag putting been great. So, last time Panthers played the Browns, we were at the game. It ended terribly. So, who who won that game? I just how many how many? Oh yeah, the Browns did. I think Shadur Sanders going to go for about 225 two touchdowns. Just screams like 13 to9 kind of game. Just going to be awesome. The Browns maybe 35 points.
