Hey guys, welcome back to Modern Golf. I hope you’re doing great. If you’re new here, I am Jeff. I will be your pilot for today. Today we’re talking about the most underrated brands in golf. We have done the best value, the best quality. So, first one up is going to be an easy pick for me because I think they’re so underrated for the high quality stuff they put out, and that’s Under Armour. Um, where it seems like guys who are over 35 really appreciate Under Armour for their fit, their quality of their clothing, their shoes, um, they just don’t get a ton of run. And there’s only again a number of guys on the PGA Tour. Uh Jordan Speed being probably the the dominant uh force on that. But really high-end and incredible golf pieces u especially for 2025, but Under Armour is our first one on this list. Number two, and this may strike some people funny, and that’s fine. We are here to um amuse some of you guys, but number two is going to be Betardi. I I I don’t think they get enough run for the high quality of goods they put out there. I think they’re really really great stuff and again they just don’t get the buzz that I think they deserve. Um and people say well they’re not on tour. What I will explain very quickly is there’s a lot of financial things that go on uh to get a player to uh use a putter on tour or any club. Um so I don’t think it’s they’re not as high quality as others. I just think sometimes you don’t get the right pieces in the right hands and that’s kind of why. But number two on this list for super underrated is Betardi. Number three on this list and we had reviewed their shoes earlier this year is Painter Golf. And a lot of people don’t know who Painter Golf even is. May not even know where they’ve been established and any of their shoes. Some of the best shoes I would say in the top two or three brands we use all year and that we test um from Jason Day and the 87 SC and really all the different shoes. the match play we tested. Super high quality golf shoes. Um really like a clean aesthetic, modern appearance to them all. Held up really well. But so for number three on our list is Painter Golf. If you’ve never tested one, I would say get your hands on one and test one. And that’s even roll putters. Even roll putters to me, I think are some of the best putters in the marketplace. They don’t get a ton of buzz. They don’t get a ton of run. I can tell you we are testing a number of them currently um for kind of our end of a year review. We all of us who’ve tested there’s six of us who’ve been testing these absolutely love almost every even roll putter we’ve got our hands on. Um but so for this list really underrated is even roll putters. The next brand up who I think is super underrated and some of you are saying you’re crazy is Sunday golf and their golf bags. Uh, I didn’t really know much of Sunday a couple years ago, I’ll be very honest. And so, hence, it’s probably why they’re underrated. Um, as we’ve tested and as we’ve gotten to know this brand and really test and test and test, um, the Ranger is one of the best bags in golf without question. Uh, the Riders, the Las, every bag they make, the big rig I’m staring at right here are incredibly detailed and high quality golf bags that compete with really the best in the industry. But so for this list, Sunday Golf is definitely super underrated. Let’s talk about golf balls that we feel are underrated. I would say a year ago, MaxFly would be on this list. Uh but two brands that I think are really underrated and don’t get the publicity and run they should. And the first one is the series from Snell Golf. If you haven’t tested out Snell um from the 2.0, the 3.0, the 4.0 0 golf balls. They’re very, very high quality tourike golf balls for significantly less money, but really I feel like Snell is super underrated in the golf space. The other golf ball that I want to talk about that I think is super underrated is Shrixson. I don’t know why Stricks doesn’t get more run than it does for their golf balls. I know Brooks Kepka, we hear his name and some other people, you know, play that golf ball. I think the stricks on golf balls and you can talk about the Zstar. I mean I play the Qstar Tour a lot. I think the QSTAR tour, especially when you get them on sale for 25 bucks a dozen. There’s not a ball that competes with that golf ball with quality and durability and holds on greens and everything else and the length. Phenomenal golf ball. So for golf balls, I would say Shrixon is going to be one and the Snell golf balls would be the other. The next one up that is completely underrated and that’s the guys at Refcore and Catty Daddy. We’ve tested a lot of golf bags and if you check out our walls, I’ve got them everywhere around here um and travel carriers and all that stuff and I’m telling you the quality on Caddyy Daddy is as good as it gets out there. You know, they’re five there are bags that are 500 bucks and then there’s Catty Daddies that you can get for 40% the price. Um and they held up as good. I would say get, if you get a chance, check out the Catty Daddy golf bags. Um, the super heavy duty metal zippers, the material, their foam back material, an underrated brand, and that’s Catty Daddy and RevCore. Couple more left and then I’ll leave you guys alone for today. One that I think is super underrated is Inexpensive Tech. 10 years ago, you couldn’t get a good rangefinder for under 200, 300 bucks easy. Now you can pick them up and we’ve done a number of reviews of them where you can get them for like an AOR that’s you know under 50 bucks they have a hundred bucks a lot of options that you can get an incredible rangefinder and tech for really not a lot of money anymore. So, it gives you the opportunity to test out a rangefinder and see if you really want to use rangefinder for the range or for playing or for whatever or for the juniors out there. Um, and not break the bank and spend five or six hundred bucks like some of the brands are. Um, so I would say inexpensive tech. Don’t rule it out because I think they’re very severely underrated. One other bag that we want to talk about or bag brand that we want to talk about that I think is underrated and you can review their feedback and comments and that’s Ask Echo. We do a lot of reviews with Ask Echo. There are phenomenal golf bags that I believe rival the top of the top in golf bags. Uh if you’re looking for a high-end golf bag or one with a very unique top, I would say there’s nothing quite like Ask Echo in the marketplace again, but severely severely underrated in the golf industry. And last one up which may surprise some of you for really equipment and the brand that I think is so underrated. Um I would say Srixon is could be on that list. I would say there’s a number of brands. Mizuno for some people I would say is underrated but this particular brand I think is super underrated and that’s Wilson Golf. If you get a chance to check out Wilson Golf and their equipment and compare it to what you’re currently playing, I think you’d be shocked. I know I’ve been um hopefully we’ll get a full review of their equipment later this year. what we’ve tested, uh, we’ve been really, really surprised that Dino Power, all those series, they do incredibly well and again, severely underrated. So, I hope you guys like this quick list of the brands that we felt are the most, I don’t want to say get side eye, but the most ones that get um, underrated in the golf industry. And again, there’s a lot of them, don’t get me wrong, but these are the top 10 or 12 that always kind of circle back to us of, man, why doesn’t why doesn’t this brand get more run? I don’t get it. Um, so if you have any questions, brands we missed out on that you think are severely underrated, let us know. And again, we will catch up with you guys next time. Thanks, guys.
