We’re getting so close now — it’s down to a little over a month until the loudest show in golf makes its way to the Northeast.
The 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York is just 48 days away. Preparation on the grounds started months ago, but it’s ramping up as grandstands and hospitality infrastructure are nearly complete.
Team USA — led by captain Keegan Bradley — will be looking to recapture the Ryder Cup after the Europeans dominated Rome in 2023. The Europeans will be captained by Luke Donald in this year’s edition.
Bradley has a big decision to make after his recent win at the Travelers Championship: Does he play, does he stay as captain, or both? Jordan Spieth jokingly said he hopes Bradley doesn’t play, leaving an extra spot up for grabs.
Where is Bethpage Black? And who designed it?
The Bethpage Black Course, a creation of legendary architect A.W. Tillinghast, has been a part of golf history since its opening in 1936. Nestled in suburban Long Island, Bethpage State Park features five 18-hole regulation golf courses, including the esteemed Black Course.
It will be the first time the Ryder Cup graces its greens, but the course has previously hosted the U.S. Open in 2002 and 2009. The 2019 PGA Championship was also held at Bethpage Black, with Brooks Koepka emerging as the tournament champion.
When and where is the 2025 Ryder Cup?
The 2025 Ryder Cup will be held from Sept. 26 to Sept. 28th at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York.
