Jordi, good to speak to you ahead of the weekend’s opener. Just how’s preseason been for you? Yeah, really good. Um, it’s nice to get to get through preseason unscathed, not miss not miss many sessions. So, um, I’m really looking forward to the season starting, of course, club captain again this season. Just how proud are you to continue that role? Yeah, so proud. Um, obviously I think this is my sixth season now, so I’ve been here a while. I know the club inside out, so to to lead the boys out on Saturday. Um it’s always a proud moment for me and um I’m looking forward to it. Some of the supporters have been down of course today as well. Meet the lads and uh how important is that bond going to be this season? Yeah, massive. Um I think when they when they really get behind us, you can see on the pitch um how we how we respond um I think is a two-way thing. We’ve got to give them something to shout about and they they can sometimes lift us when we’re when we’re when we need them. But um to see him all today, it’s been really good. We’ve signed a few, sat down and chatted. So um yeah, it’s been really enjoyable. As club captain, how has it been to sort of get that jelling process in between the players so far this preseason? It’s been really good. Obviously, there’s been um few new lads come in, but um yeah, that they’re really good good people, and I think that’s the most important thing. And um boys have settled in really well. We’re just looking forward to the weekend. I’m sure a number of people will travel to Solio this weekend. How excited are you to get started? Yeah, really exciting. Um, obviously it’s to finish with the disappointment we did last year. Um, it’s almost been eaten away at us. So to get to get ready for Saturday and get out there and put some put some wrongs right. Um, really looking forward to it. And a narrow win last time out at Sley Hall. It’s quite a while back now, but how important would it be to get off to a winning start? Yeah, I think every every team wants to wants to start with a win and we’re no different. So fingers crossed we get out there, get the three points and that’ll really kickstart our season.
