Way Back when I played pre-teen bball, and watched the NBA, it was offensive goal tending if the ball was above the rim and you touched the ball at all.
All this dunking and hanging on the rim just didn't feel right…. I quit bball across the board.
That used to be an over the back foul. Can't jump over a guy with position to rebound. I guess it isn't a penalty anymore. Should be.
As a tall guy who used to play throughout highschool people used to always take it as a challenge to try to dunk or score on me which ended with me getting injured in some way every game. Had an eye injury at one point where I lost all vision in my left eye. People just want to prove something to others and the toxicity
