Have a good one! 😁🤘

I bet the New England Patriots are right now like this is our opportunity. Terry McLaren, what’s a trade? So, you’re telling me there’s a chance? Yeah. Commander’s like, “No.” Oh, what’s cool? What’s going on now? I hope you guys have an amazing day. We have the Washington Commanders at number 16 right in the middle of the NFL. And you’re saying yourself, we have one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL. What are you talking about? Great coaching staff, good GM. We finally feel good about the ownership. It is a good team. However, there’s some good things and some bad things we’re going to go over and why I have him in the middle of the NFL. Let’s start with the offensive line and the tackle room looks so much better than it did last season. I ranked this tackle room at number six, whereas last season could have been 26 or worse. You got Laramie Tonsel coming in here. I think he’s going to be a plug-andplay. I mean, easy. He’s one of the top 10 tackles, top five tackles in terms of pass protecting and blind side for Jaden Daniels. Two thumbs up. Got to give that one. Maybe three. I don’t know. I can’t do that. But yeah, we got Josh Connelly Jr. They weren’t done though, right? They add Josh Connelly in the draft. My number one tackle and yes, you have the question mark, can he transition to the right tackle position? And and it is always tough. Some guys can do it, some guys can’t. I think Connelly would be in that category because like when I watch this film, when mainly when I see the guys that are able to transition, it’s because they have the lateral quickness and they have that ability to shuffle from the left to the right, really transition easily. And for me, Connelly did that time and time again on his organ film. So that’s why I’m optimistic about him being able to transition from left to right tackle for this season. And with Connelly, he’s going to have competition there with incumbent, you know, back starter last year, Andrew Wy, who has still has a good chance to be the inside track to be the right tackle going into the starting season. I would like this combination, though. I think WY move him inside to guard and then Connelly at right tackle. That to me is their best combination with Sam Cosby being injured. And you say, well, the guard position ranked at 32nd. It’s because of that injury. Okay, Sam Cosby likely out for a good chunk of the season. Going to miss at least half of the year. I heard good updates by Dan Quinn on that, but late January time frame, you’re looking at least somewhere November range possibly with a really good timetable. We’ll we’ll keep an eye on those things, but I don’t I’m not really I am factoring that majorly into the rankings. If Cosm if you told me, oh, he’s ready to go, then obviously this would be a way better group. It just comes down to that. You’re going to have competition though between Nick Algreddy, Brandon Coleman, and uh for a starting spot at that left guard position. I think Deer is likely going to be the backup center for this football team. And then guys like Bobby Hart going to be competing in there with his he play a little swing tackle too for them. But Chris Paul, goods Jones, those are guys I I think will have a good chance to be competition for this football team. But the interior depth is just overall it’s a little questionable. Without Sam Cosby definitely hurts. The tag position, who ends up making the roster? And I think Trent Scott works as the main swing tackle I guess besides Andrew Wy or Josh Connelly unless you how you want to factor that depending on where they end up playing of course but I would say Scott Phillips has a good chance to make the roster with Sell. So Phillips and Sell maybe if they only want to keep four technically five tackles like I mentioned with WY and Connley however they end up dispersing but Phillips and Serell maybe only one of those guys end up making the roster. center position at ran number 13. Tyler Bash really really good for them last year and at least at least they have their tackle position and a good center to help out those guards. So it does help out the weaknesses a little bit here. They run gap pretty heavy too on their offense and they they were actually one of the most effective zone runners. They should even be better this year with Tonsel and Connelly. Then you go to the receiving position here which I rank 11th and I know Commander Sans please Adam Peters get the deal done. Strike a comp. Whatever you got to do give him, you know, give him the works. give them 40 million if you have to. We’ll see whether it ends up working. I do think they’ll sign a deal. I’d be shocked if they end up trading Terry McLaren and and somebody would have to come to the table that is an offer they can’t refuse is what I’m guessing. But McLaren, I think he’s going to be back. He’ll get a contract or some sort of bonus, etc., etc. He is a number one wide receiver in the NFL. Easily superstar rating for me. 78 rating for Debo Samuel. He’s a little bit of a gadget guy. He’s not a full complete receiver, but he’s going to be a good weapon for this offense, especially complimenting Gary Terry. You got Noah Brown, who’s been a solid veteran throughout his career. It seems like wherever he goes now, too, for these young quarterbacks, he’s able to develop them. So, I like that. Those figure to be your three starting at the beginning of the season. And then you got some young guys to watch out for. Jaylen Lane, I’ve heard nothing but great things about him so far. Get some deep speed in the offense. Luke McAffrey, want to see what he can do in year number two. And then you got some veterans out here like Osborne, Gallup, and more. I’d suspect one of those guys makes the roster. So, however they want to do that, maybe one of those, maybe two possibly if you know, I think one though. I think McAffrey and Lane are pretty much safe. And then you got some UDFAS to watch out for like Jakory Brooks. Maybe he ends up making the roster. I think he’s more of a practice squad candidate. Same thing like Allen Jones, Martin Stretching, definitely practice squad candidates for this team. As long as McCorin’s here, they should be pretty good. I rank at 11, like I said. Then we go on to the tight end room. Another position I’m not worried about. While it’s not an elite room, you got the ageless wonder, Zack Herz. He’s just he’s been really good throughout his career and he continues to be. So he’ll be that veteran in the room and then you got John Bates that in blocking machine and then you got Ben Sat the young developer there. Hopefully we will see more of Sonat. I liked him a lot coming out of Kansas State. Just got to show it. And then besides that if they want to keep a fourth tight end you have some competition whether they want to go to a veteran round like Cer or more youth. That’ll be something to watch out for here. So I’m not like again I’m not really worried about it. Maybe they should keep three tight ends too in the scheme and the offense. Going on to the running back room, I rank it at 26th. So, you got Brian Robinson, you got the power, you got the goal line, then you got Austin Ecklers, the receiving element. So, those two guys figure to be the the lead carries for uh touches this season again, but then you got competition, right? Bill Krosky, Merritt, I can’t wait to see him out in preeason. I’m hearing nothing but and and go back to his film. I mean, he had dealt with the injury bug, but when he was out there, the dude is explosive. He’s got that linear burst and he’s a kind of like a one cut vision runner. really good vision. So definitely has a really good chance to make the roster. Personally, that’s he’d be my favorite as the number three running back right now. Rodriguez and Nichols, I’m guessing they’re going to keep four. So, it’s a tough one. You’re going to have to make a tough cup here. Both of these guys, I like them both McNichols and Rodriguez. So, it’s just going to come down. Do they want to go with the youth route or do they want to go with McNichols a little safer on third down to pass protect stuff like that? And then we go on to the quarterback. We don’t need to talk too much luckily about this for the Commanders. We have a quarterback, right? Jaden Daniels an absolute phenomenal rock star hopefully can be stay keep him healthy and he can be their quarterback for the next 15 20 years and then Marcus Marotta probably the best backup in the NFL too to have so they can just keep two quarterbacks and then going on to the defense which this is where a lot of my concerns really stem and it starts with the defensive line how consistent are they going to be able to get pressure on the quarterback and when you look at this defensive line I have the edge room at last unfortunately and the interior is second to last at 31st and you had Denitri Wise who’s solid you know what not I mean ideally I’d like him as a like the third or fourth guy that you can rotate inside and out depending on the down and distance. Jordan Armstrong was really good, so he clearly is the number one pass rusher for this football team. They did bring in Von Miller, which will help on third downs. He’s going to be that third down rush specialist. He’s not really a full-time starter at this point. You got Cleveland Ferrell, who’s going to be competing in here for a backup role. Same thing with like Jaylen Holmes, Javvante, Jean Baptiste, and Jacob Martin. I think all be competing for roster spots. You got TJ Mega. Yeah, I don’t want to butcher his name, sorry, but he’ll he’ll probably make it for the international purposes and whatnot. And they got Boko and James all going to be like practice squad candidates for me. So, it just it’s definitely the lack of who’s going to be that guy and he can really step up and add more of a presence. This is going to be a big need going into the offseason in my view. And the interior could be a big need. Depends. I feel a little more optimistic going into the future because you got Johnny Newton going to year number two. Defense tackles a position that typically takes time. So, I’m not ready to give up on Johnny Newton. I liked him coming out of Illinois and I expect him to be a good football player for this team. Javon Kinlaw can be a guy that can work as like a base DN too and play five tech and move all over the defensive line as a pass rusher. He struggles in run defense, can get pushed back at times. However, they’ve got guys like Eddie Goldman and Sheldon Day to help them out there too. And then you got Don Payne. This going to be a big year for him, too. I will say if he has a good year, then that’ll help them out tremendously. But he’s going into a time now where that contract you can move on for him after the season or trade him or something like that. So, he’s going to have to really prove himself this season. So, the defensive line, we shall see. But for right now, I’m really going to be hoping I Dan Quinn is a great defensive mind. You got Wit as the defensive coordinator. So, those two guys will help out the defensive line with stunts and games and getting creative with blitzes and stuff. Overall though, the talent here, there is a little bit of question mark for me personally. Linebacker wise, I’m not worried about this. I rank it at number two in the NFL. It’s one of the best. You got Bobby Wagner, ageless wonder. Like I mentioned with Zachary, it’s Bobby Wonder. Bobby Wonder. Bobby Wagner. He shouldn’t get his own bread like that. The wonder the Wagner bread. He’s a beast and he still is. He even has some coverage limitations at this point in his career. However, he he’s still very, very good, very smart. And you got Frankie Louvu, one of the most dynamic linebackers as a blitzer, hybrid machine, can play off the edge. He’s just so dangerous in run defense. The dude is a monster. And then you got some dudes, man. You got Kade Kane Madrono. He’s going to be like a hybrid. He’s going to be their chess piece. Play a little safety, play a little linebacker. Dude is a freak athlete. And you go back, I was actually watching some UCLA recently today for just I wanted to watch some dude flashed big time. So yeah, he’s a guy to watch out for. And then you got Jordan McGee and maybe he can step up. You got Nick Balor, special teams ace. So he’ll make the roster there. I think those five guys in their main five core going on to the quarterback room which has got a lot of experience here with Latimore and Jones. Whether they stay healthy is going to be the key. But they didn’t stop there. They drafted Trey Amos. Really good pick for them on day three or day two. And you got Mike Sandra. Mikey Sandra still in the slot who can play on the outside. I just list him in the slot. They can Jonathan Jones could end up playing soft for them. Maybe that’s what they do actually. They figure, hey, let’s put Mikey out there on the outside, especially in base formations. I imagine that that would be Latimore and Sanders still out there as your starters and then Jones would be your your swing man and whatnot. Overall, those are my projected starters. Trey most as the season goes along. Maybe he gets a chance to be the starter and whatnot. Like that would be great. And then Noah Eggmanogamy is going to be a dude that also can work inside and out. I think those five guys make the make the roster and you feel pretty good about this quarterback room. They at least be mid-tier if not better than that depending on how things go. If Vladimore has a resurgence and Jones and whatnot. So, and Seymour can end up making the roster. You got some other guys in here. Ciphers is a UDFA. Could be a surpriser for sure. Going on to the safety room, I rank at number 32 unfortunately last in the NFL. There are some question marks. Will Harris has been a solid backup and whatnot. He’s had his moments and, you know, there’s times where, you know, he can get real beat in coverage and whatnot. He can work in the box and stuff and they’ll they’ll get creative, I’m sure. Quinn Quan Martin is going to be that backend defender. I mean, he can also play in the slot too a lot actually. So, he can be a hybrid defender. It’s who’s going to be that consistent guy in the coverage department. That’s really my question here. Percy Butler, more of a special teamer. Jeremy Reeves has been a special team ace throughout his career. Maybe they’re trying to work Butler. He did take a bit of a pay cut on an extension to help outman and whatnot. So, maybe he’s they’re trying to mold him into the long-term special teams ace for this football team. I guess that’s probably what they’re going to do. And then you got guys like Hampton Owens. Those are more your safety hybrid linebacker chess pieces once again in Dan Quinn’s defense that utilizes that. We’ll see how it all works out. I I just am a little worried right now in terms of who’s going to be your main coverage guys in the back end. And then with the coaching staff, I have them ranking 12. It’s a really good coaching staff. You could sell me on this being higher. I am definitely above average. Cliff Kingsbury is the OC. Joe Whit Jr. is the defensive coordinator. overall like the amount of discipline that this team had in his first season together was just so impressive. So, not much else to say about this coaching staff other than they’re very good and hopefully they can repeat that success going into year number two. For my record prediction, I have them going, drum roll nine and eight. So, winning record, but unfortunately just missing the playoffs here. Tough division. I think the Cowboys will be I know you’re like, “Oh, no, not the cowg girls.” You have the cowg girls above the commanders. Are you crazy? I stopped watching the video a long time ago. Fair enough. But any which way, let me know what you think. Agree or disagree.

  1. Might be a bit low for the Redskins cough cough I mean the Commanders. How bout we just hyphenated their name at this point so we can have both! Or we could say The Washington Commandskins. I don't know, I just want to see that new stadium built!!!!

  2. I think our defense is very underrated although I am bias because I’m a fan… Amos, Mikey and lattimore have been giving everyone hell during OTA and our dline is ranked a little to low I mean 32 and 31/32 is kind of crazy I do have us above the cowboys and am hoping for a 13-4 season but will be okay with a 11-6 or 10-7
