when he goes back to the power position now he throws 45s on to start so that’s the point is he going to get the 10 you 10 10 I want to be here I’m so used to being this position and I’m having issue feeling it I want to go here I’m getting so much more bicep is jum went forward a good inch nice nice come on come [Music] on Wow Wow and that was why I came here if I picked up anything if I could be one better learn from somebody that’s better than me it’s a work every minute every moment look at this look at this guys keep your head on the swivel look at this guys using oh you going to go with that partial range or the short range like that’s similar to like telling a guy like fully you only put your first two inches in like don’t put the full thing in it’s like why why would you do that you know if you have it using and similar like when you see his shoulder videos where hey behind the neck is not optimal well it’s not optimal for you because you should be able to get in this position like this is normal to get here you know that that uh mobility in your shoulder blades and your range of motion to go behind your head like we’re meant to put arms behind our head like why can’t you do it so if you can’t do it practice it and uh don’t avoid it entirely cuz you’ll never get good at it and use the whole thing you said earlier you said uh you said by watching so much social media it it triggers you to go one way and it is true it’s it’s what do we read what do we look at cuz I don’t watch body left I don’t watch powerlifter left but I do watch wrestlers move and martial artist move and gymnast move and you want to see rotation you want to see savagery you watch your wrestler work off the back Arch and rotation of his shoulders a bodybuilder would look at that and go I’m dead and where I look at that and go that’s deserved it I want that and then add on the size to it and be able to still do that was like we grew up when I grew up it was Bruce Lee and Arnold Schwarz [ __ ] but the combination can I how close I can get to that dream was that yeah so well I’m sure even’ been watching tighten play you bring him to the park he could do monkey bars easy you know he’s got great shoulder Mobility so does my son so what happens when you get to your 20s 30s 40s 50s why do we magically just say I’m going to give up on trying to be functional or to have that rotation that ability that I was born with makes no sense whatsoever you could be jacked and feel good to have good range of motion flexibility and um yeah a lot of stuff doesn’t make sense these days locked lock do a quarter which is I think he’s going to go PL if I M he’s going to go PL but he goes by F which is probably better than going by you know what looks cool you know a lot of times when I’m in photo shoots or video shoots Hey listen man there’s only one play on the bar put three plays cuz it looks cool to photo uh but I’m getting a small yield of my return by going heavier sometimes cuz I’m only focused on lifting the heavy weight instead of using the weight to help me grow so make a lighter weight up here heavier fixing your range your form your Tempo there you go that yep wow wow connected 21 no way one plate looks way cooler we’re not here for coolness one plate looks cooler get the big rubber so looks it’s more the weight than it is all right PL it in what you thinking Mike you think it play it so again you guys [Music] are weak position for bicep curls more focus on the bicep for you guys here’s something you could do you could you could start with this form when you’re doing your set and then when you fatigue switch to a power position and you can get a couple more reps at that point if that’s something you’d like but everything he’s saying why do you stop why do you stop doing it people talk about that all the time people over 30 1% will Sprint ever again and it’s like that’s a crazy number to think so it’s like you can’t do it because you stop doing it simple as that you’re also around negative people that say wait till you’re 30 like wow you’re so motivated now wait till you’re 30 oh wait till you have kids wait till you work 40 hours a week it’s like what like why would I limit myself with that negative mentality you know it’s like wait a second I want to be better you know similar to you me having a kid and losing out on sleep has made me more efficient with my workouts and drove me to be better it didn’t make me worse it made me better as a bodybuilder as you know whatever I am Fitness whatever um it just made me better in all aspects of life uhoh I don’t want to interrupt but but that’s the point of the shirt so he was going to wear a shirt that said uh F your dad bod and that’s the point of it he just said it you just take that clip and put it on the shirt it’s not supposed to make you worse I having a kid it’s not supposed to make you worse by having a wife a significant other it enhances and if it doesn’t enhance it’s not wrong with society and stuff it’s something wrong with you and so when you have a kid you should become that Savage more so a trophy is what who cares I wion the universe four times means absolutely nothing to me because the point was for me to be able to train that’s that was the goal I want to train my life cool I won that stuff that was a side effect of what I was doing you know people ask me a long time like you ever down you ever look at your trophies I said no I don’t look at my trophies come down because like the trophy is insignificant like your character and what you’ve done and what you built that’s the trophy you know your family is your trophy your health your longevity you know that’s your trophy it’s not the trophy itself man in fact all my trophies are in my closet um you know and if I put them out I’m just like I don’t want to look at that and like oh I was once a champion in the past you know it’s like no what am I doing doing now with what I acquired what I built um so I’m always striving to be better than I was at that moment you mean you don’t live in the past yeah I don’t live in the past you guys also have a nice home gym so you put this on display and stuff um I don’t have the space like that

  1. thats something ive always gotten in my life, a multitude of people always mentioning the "wait till your in your 30s", "wait till you have kids", "you can do XYZ cause you dont have a fulltime job" blah blah…what always struck me, was that the reverse was never mentioned…like I never went around people with nicer homes or more money and said, oh you have that because you dont work out and you give all your time to making money. People choose their priorities, and the problem I see is those that are focused on what other achieve and try to bring them down for it or make excuses as to why they achieved such status. Bottom line is, people are sh*t.

  2. Im actually glad they mentioned continued growth and motivation after having children. My wife and I are going to start trying for kids this next year and my biggest worry is "oh no, im going to lose all of this progress ive made due to time, sleep, etc". If the drive is there, you can adapt to fit the goal 👍

  5. I'm 43 and I have never listened to the people who tell me that I would stop caring once I'm 30. I have never cared more and now that I see what's possible at 55 because of Mike and Jay, I know I have a long way to go ans lots of potential

  6. Damn, did anybody notice, when Mike turns to the side he disappears. His arms look great but where did his chest go?? And thanks for having Sadik on. And why is that old guy taller than you? I thought you were 6'3". I'm thinking 6'1"

  7. That's how I do mine to . I lean into it to get more bicept into it. Not just the biceps but the entire body overall. I use a shoulder width stance too.
