All right. Immediate improvement. Okay. Now you’re starting to cook. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. JJ. Hey yo, stop the video. Just put these on all the clubs. That might have been the purest shot I ever hit. All right, we’re here. Valentine Country Club. Beef is here cuz Beef is on my quest to break a 100. We’re linking up with the Jumbo Max guys. They seen the video in the Georgia series that we did, the travel series. They reached out. They said, “JJ, let’s grip you up. You’re going to be playing Bryson’s grips. Same grips as Bryson, same company. Super stoked.” Actually, one of the most excited I have ever been for a video. Me and Beef just had like a little, you know, in the parking lot, you know. No, a little beef there in the parking lot. We’re good. We’re good. Do you really think it’s necessary to take your hat off every time? 100%. No, see, I know you. So, listen, I know it’s I know it’s a respect thing. I get that. But every time to every person, it’s a bit much. No. Yeah. We go inside this clubhouse here. Hat comes off. But in the clubhouse, is that always a rule? Um I’m Yeah, that’s a rule. Yeah. Most places they don’t want you don’t wear hats inside. What? You wear hat at church? No. Okay. This ain’t a church. You were head of court. It’s a country club. You were head of court. You know what? I think I did when I got locked up. Yeah, I think I did. No, you don’t. No, I did. No, no, no, no, no, you don’t. Yes, I did. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Let’s go test out some jumbo grips today. Let’s go f you for some new grips today. Yep. And let’s see what the numbers say. Let’s see what the numbers say. We’re here. Right now, I am golf pride. The thicker ones though. JJ’s warming up today. He gets set. We’re talking about grips all day today. Grip. Grip. Grip. Grip. Grip. It’s a driving force to the car, right? See that beef? I saw that one. But that’s what they always do. That was better. That was a decent one. I still want you to hold your hands a little bit higher though at a dress. Higher. You’re getting into this thing and your just hands are super low. The toes straight up and down. I want you to hold these hands higher at a dress. Make this portion of the club more square to the ground instead of it being like this. Gotcha. Yeah. Boom. Right. Download the app right there. Hand analysis complete. Answer a couple of questions here. I had a draw. Grip pressure. Like the little bird emoji at the bottom right now. You killed the bird at right into the medium there. Start there and move around from there. And no hand injuries. Broken finger. Broken finger. That’s right. So you always have difficulty gripping the club. Yeah, usually. But my left hand, if I swing too hard, sometimes it comes out. All right. Cool. All right. So, we’re going to start in a small small and then we’re going to work up from there. We’ll work down from there. We’re going to start heavy, hit some shots, and then we’ll figure out what you need. Let’s do it. Excited. We’ll start with your club first. Let’s go eight iron. Eight iron. So, we’re starting with a standard grip. Mhm. So, we’re going to get a feel, hit, you know, four, five, six shots, and we’ll get some numbers. Get a baseline number with what you’re doing now. And then we’re going to go with the recommended grips. I’ve got a light grip and a heavy grip to try in the small that you fit into. All right. So, just from the eyeball test, you’re not making your best contact, right? No, but it’s like But my irons are always like always like this. Okay. Always. So, you struggle with a little right thin miss. Oh, yeah. All the time. Yeah. That’s my shot. Okay. Exactly that. We’re going to tweak something real quick. Try that. Cuz you’re so steep. We’re going to give you something with a little more upright. Okay. Better. A little better. Yeah. Okay. So, the upright’s working a little better for you. Mhm. So, let’s hit three or four more so I can get a good grouping. Okay, I’d say that one right there is more of a normal ball play when he hits a shot. Yeah. Y Okay, let’s let’s go ahead and make the move. We’re going to go straight to the small ultralight. Reason we’re starting with ultral light is it’s a similar weight. Even though this grip is significantly bigger, it’s a similar weight to a standard grip. So, the small ultral light weighs maybe 45 gram. It’s actually a little bit lighter. So, you’re going to really feel the club head. So, let’s see how you do with that. Different. Uhhuh. How’s it feel? Different. Well, some people say it feels familiar. Some people say it feels really different. So, all right. Immediate improvement. So, did you see the sound? Totally different. That was a little more to the left, too. So, you got a better release out of that, which makes sense. You’re an old baseball guy, Jerry. Hey yo, stop the video. just put these on all the clubs. That might have been the purest shot I ever had. I just I feel stronger with it. Yeah. You know, you’re going to use your bigger muscles. When you get a bigger grip in your hands, you become less handsy and you’re going to bring in the bigger muscles into the swing. The first two you hit with the other grip. Yeah. Your longest shot was 130. That first one you hit that was pier was 142. Gotcha. Now, with these, should I be holding it as tight as I’m holding the other one? Like the thinner ones? Well, just by nature, you should have less grip pressure cuz it feels like I’m not gripping it as hard. Yeah, with the with the more surface contact for your palm, you’re definitely not going to have as much tension. Okay, so now we’re going to go from the lightweight to the heavy. Okay. Typically what you’ll see when you switch from a heavier or lighter grip to a heavier grip is a little bit higher ball flight and the club should get out in front a little bit better which is really what you need. So be really interesting to see what you do with a heavier grip. This grip in contrast to the small ultral light weighs 98 grams. So this weighs about 40. So we’ve added about 48. Yeah. So what we’ve done essentially when you do that is we’re taking the balance point. We’re moving it up the shaft to give you a more balanced feel. So, head’s going to feel a little bit lighter. Club’s going to be more balanced. That was higher. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. That’s almost got a little draw. So, that’s exactly what we like to see with the heavier grip is you got the club out in front a little more. You’re getting nice height. That one was uh 146. So, that’s his basically longest ball right there. Longest straightest ball. Okay, now you’re starting to cook. Mhm. That thing’s launched. That’s probably looks 150ish maybe. 167. Whoa. We caught a flyer, my man. That’s a big hit. Yeah. Yeah. If we look at that shot, that was thin and not your best. That was That was 134. So, it’s it’s just you’re getting even though that wasn’t compressed, you’re still getting more speed on it. Oh yeah. Look at that beauty. Pretty straight, too. So, we’re taking a little bit of that fade out of a little bit. Yeah, for sure. 100%. You I could feel it too, like, you know, and I’m not really I’m not even like changing my swing. Yeah, that’s my swing is my swing. You know, that’s the goal. We’re just trying to get the right grip in the hands and have you swing as efficiently as possible. So, just out of uh curiosity now, we’re going to go with a straight taper extra small. So, the difference between this grip and this grip, this is a heavier tour series cuz so far the heavier is doing a little better for you, Jerry. So, what we’re going to do is give you a straight taper with your baseball background and and the problem you’re having with your finger. This grip has no taper in it. Okay. This grip is bigger on the top and tapers. Oh, this is one size the whole way. Yeah. This is a straight taper. This uh this may work real well for you. Come ball JJ. Okay, now we’re going to go up uh size to the medium. Okay, now this grip’s going to weigh 105 gram. So, you’re really going to feel a balanced club there. Uh you’re going to have a little bit more uh control. the club face rotation’s going to slow down a little bit. So, let’s see if the bigger size is going to help you. Right now, the small tour series has been your grip of choice. Yeah, that’s been the one that’s worked the best. Oh, yeah. Nice. Good ball there. Okay, I’m going to fast track you right into Bryson’s grip. So, this is the Jumbo Max Tour Series XL 123 g. Okay. So, you being a former baseball guy, this should feel really natural to you. Uh, it’s definitely going to balance the club out a lot and, uh, you should be able to take a pretty good grip at this. So, And how many grams was that one? The grip you were just swinging was 105, which is about 18 g heavier. Oh yeah, that was ripped. That felt good. Wow. Wow, that looks great. Okay, that look great. The sound, the look, the feel. Yeah, starting to see some consistency here, too. That feel in your hands. It’s more comfortable. I would say this one and the other one that I hit pretty well, the comfort level, I could feel the difference. Cuz with those, it’s like I feel like I have to grip it so hard, you know? Even though I have small hands, I feel like I have to and I’m never comfortable. You know what I mean? Let me show you something real quick. if you don’t mind. Yeah. You take this grip, right? Watch. Watch the face. I’m just going to hold it normal. And now I’m going to apply pressure as hard as I can. You see what the face is doing? Yeah. See how it’s turning? Uhhuh. Okay. Hand me that. I’m going to do the same thing. I’m going to grip it and I’m going to squeeze it as hard as I can. You You try it. You see what the face is doing? Yeah. Now do this. There’s nothing there. No. So, it’s just providing more stability and face control. Dripping this thing, too. Okay. Even though that’s I I know. I hit it like [ __ ] and still it’s straighter. Yeah. So, you’re not squ You’re not getting that squirter to the right as much. You know what they say about big grips is you’re just going to hit it dead right. Well, sometimes it’s the opposite. I think you experienced that with your driver. Oh, 100%. Yeah. Okay. So, we’re going to add the light grip back in. That’s the XL. And then we’re going to back down to the recommended grip, which was the small. Couple more. I think you’re definitely a tour series guy, don’t you? I I would agree. Yeah. Um just the way he moves, you know, it just gets launch. Correct. Oh yeah, nice shot JJ. Good ball there. Thank you. That’s the straightest ball you’ve hit today. Yeah, that’s right at it. 149. That wasn’t a flyer. Yeah, that’s legit. Good ball, JJ. Thanks. All right. This is tour series. This is the tour series. So, this is the weighted grip. These are the heavier ones. And we find probably over 50% of the people when we do the fittings fit into the heavier grip. So you’re not alone. Good strike. Oh yeah, good ball there. You know what’s pretty crazy? I I know I’m not hitting like pure shots. They’re not all pure, but even on my m hits, they’re they’re so much straighter than I would be over there. Yeah, your grouping is a lot tighter and your divot patterns really starting to get a lot better. That’s a nice thinner divot pattern than you were taking earlier. Yeah. And JJ, when we talk about fittings too, like two things, right? Number one is we should get better numbers. Yeah. Number two is like you just said, the spread dispersion should come through. Yeah. Smaller and smaller and smaller. Like when we look at total players as well, if you go from a person that’s a five handicap to a person that’s a a 15 handicap, the five handicap might make one two birdies around, the 15 handicap might still make one or two birdies around, but the 15 handicap is going to have more doubles, more bogeies. So if we don’t always have to go with like how many more birdies can we make, maybe the how can we make the misses much more narrow, right? How can we take the double bogeies number make it bogeies? Yeah. From that aspect, the goal is to break a hundred. So, if you start getting better dispersion, you’re going to have a lot better chance to do what and a tighter dispersion, too. Yeah. Right. Oh, yeah. Real good ball. Love it. Nice and high. It’s got good spin. Consistent. So, that’s three or four in a row. Beauty. Yep. Starting to lock in, Jerry. Starting to lock in. Feel good. Feel good. You look good. Looking good. Feeling good, my man. Oh, yeah. Oh, you’re getting on a roll now. You’re hitting a lot of greens right there, Jerry. You’re halfway there. Damn. Yeah. I want to I want to cry. We better get out there, baby. We better get out there and break a 100, dude. Cuz you know what? Like the tough part is like I’ll hit a good drive and then my mental is like when I know I got to hit my iron next, I know I’m dead. It’s over. It’s gonna go 60 yards right. I’ll be in the [ __ ] trees and I’m cooked, you know, right? And then I gotta punch out and then hit another iron and probably hit it 20 yards right of the the green and now I’m trying to go up and down for bogey or something. You know what I mean? So, if we take that 60 yards right, make it 10 yards right, you’re going to be in a lot better position to get up and down. That’s about five, six in a row now. that pretty much down the middle. So, yeah. So, that’s your miss. Yeah. You know, which is a huge improvement from what you were doing earlier with the standard grip. The comfort in it though is so much more comfortable and it just feels more natural. Like I grew up playing baseball, you played baseball. Like it feels normal to me. Even though I have small hands, that still felt like I had to squeeze it so hard because I never wanted this to come out and break or whatever, you know, cuz I know if I was loose with this grip, this is dislocating right away, you know? Right on. And if you think about in terms of your tools, your power tools, you’re not going to pick up a hammer with a handle like this. You wouldn’t have any leverage. You wouldn’t have any uh accuracy when you’re hitting the nail. Same thing with your sports. If you were to pick up a baseball bat and try to swing a bat with a handle like this, you’d have a hard time hitting the ball. So, why are we playing golf with skinny handles, you know? Good point. Yeah. So, so that’s kind of the way we do the fitting is we work you up and down the line. You fit uh into the small, extra small. In the app, you fit into the small. So, you’re you’re pretty much right on where you fit in the app. Now, the real question for you, was it going to be light or heavy? So, we landed on the heavy because we wanted to get the club out in front further. If you take the weight out of the handle, you’re going to be hitting it further right. So, we needed to add that counterbalance in there for you. Um, and that seemed to really straighten you out. So, that last set you hit uh with the extra small was your best. Oh, for sure. Yeah. I mean, I hit like six, seven in a row that were like pretty close. Yeah. And as a point of reference, our extra small is bigger than any grip on the market. So, now will the driver be the same exact grip as my irons and wedges or no? Most of the time it translates unless you have a specific reason of why we would want to go with a different size or weight grip. You’re looking good, Jerry. Hey man, appreciate you guys, man. Come on. Keep this going, man. Let’s keep doing it. Let’s do it. So, on driver, let’s have them hit extra small. Small. Yep. Cool. And then we’ll Do you want to do the standard, too? Oh, yeah. We’ll start. We’ll do the stand. Yeah. We got to We got to get the base. So, let the big dog eat, Jerry. Okay. She just ate a squirrel. Yeah. Okay. Well, he’s going he’s going to he’s going to kill a he’s going to kill an animal at some point with that. There you go, J. A boy. Good ball there. So, that’s what’s standard on golf golf uh drivers. Yeah. That’s what most of the world is using right there. Yeah. So, tour series extra small. Extra small. The same one that we fit you into the irons. Okay. Gotcha. And is that but it’s different from what I have on my driver now. Yes. You have you currently have the straight tech. Okay. Extra small ultra light which is the lightweight and it has non-tapering. Okay. Gotcha. But it’s bigger than anything you’ve ever hit. Yeah. This is going to be interesting for you cuz of the weight should get the club out in front a little more which is going to be really good for you. You do you, buddy. That’s a ball, JJ beater. That’s a little drama, my man. You know what they should invent? They should invent a tea that doesn’t come off the ground. It stays in the ground. Yes. And it doesn’t break. I like that. Oh, yeah. All right. Oh, yeah. Split it. Yeah. Lacy. Yatsi. Another one down the middle. Okay, we’re going to switch into the small now because uh a little bit more uh surface contact. Oh yeah. Okay. Oh wow. That’s it. Look at that. Look at this guy. That’s got to be up there. Yeah. 154 ball speed. 273 carry. 273. Longest of the day. Show them the numbers on them. Those are some serious numbers. Dang, Jerry. All right. Shut the front door. Oh, man. How’s it feel? Comfortable. You like it? Yeah, I do. You want to go back to the skinny? Never. Oh, wow. That’s a thing of beauty there, Jerry. Hell yeah. All right, the squirrels are safe. Oh, you’re swinging good. I don’t know, dude. Looking good, my man. Feeling good, man. Looking good. Feeling good. [ __ ] So, how much bigger is this than what it’s on my driver now? Or smaller? One size bigger. One size bigger. Okay. About five sizes bigger than the standard grip. Five. Yeah. About five. 98 grams in weight, too. So, you’re still with the heavier stuff because you swing, you got good speed. You’re a strong guy. So, a little bit more stability, a little weight in the hands is really helping you a lot. Yeah, dude. It feels comfy, man. Feel like I can break a 100. Time to break a 100, man. Oh, dude. I think once I get my those irons gripped up. We’re going we’re going right now. Let’s do it. I feel good. It’s such a big difference. Okay. Yeah. Holy [ __ ] Wow. Now, is this one tapered or this one’s straight? That’s This one’s tapered. This one’s tapered. Bigger right bigger left hand. Smaller. But you can see the difference. So, you’ve gone even bigger than what you had some success with. So, let’s do it. [ __ ] that skinny grip. I know I’m not a good golfer, but I think I can get decent with these grips. I’m cozy with them. Big cozy. Listen, I always like thick stuff. Colombian thick, my girl. I like them a little thick on the bottom. Little thick. All business. Jumbo Max golf grips. All business. [Music] Just like that. One’s done. [Music] Jumbo Jerry. It’s not Jersey Jerry. It’s Jumbo Jerry. Now Jumbo Jerry. Jumbo Jerry. Jumbo Jerry in the house. Might might have to change that name. All right. Listen, that’s a video. Appreciate everybody who tuned in and watched these guys here. Best guys on the planet. One-stop shop. Jumbo Max Grips. Been working with Bryson for years. Alex, I appreciate you reaching out, making the first contact with me. And listen, the app is free, right? Download the app. It’s free. And beef, me and you, we’re pretty much on point with the measurements on the app. Yeah, 200 data points. Yeah, 200 data points on the app. So, download that app and hopefully we’ll see uh Jumbo Max grips at some Barcelics this year.

  1. No they didn't. His game is literally the exact same as it was prior to the grips. There is a reason nobody uses jumbo grips expect for Bryson.

  2. Love seeing these boys out doing their thing as part of Fore Play. Great educational content from Beef as always!

big beef, mozzarella and hot peppers my go to Portillos order!

  3. The fact that Beef hasn't adjusted his very palmy and weak grip with all the interactions they've had is astounding to me

  4. I'm a BIG JJ fan but please please please work on the over the top swing… I'd bet you break 100 working on the swing sooner than you would with these grips

  5. I've got Large Jumbolite's from driver-60* and I've found amazing results. Tennis elbow, bottom hand wrist/thumb pain. Gone + tighter numbers, more distance, comfort, confidence. HIGHLY RECCOMEND if you can find them

  6. Wouldn’t he need a smaller grip? He doesn’t release it. Doesn’t a bigger grip make it harder to release it? He’s never hit a single ball left

  7. Jerry, have you considered not having the most over the top swipey early extension swing ever?

  8. Can anyone tell me how in tf do all the clubs fit in the bag? Jumbo give you a “jumbo” bag as well??? 😂😂😂😂

  9. Never going to control that fade being so over the top. Giving someone who swings over the top a larger grip preventing them from closing the face easier is an insane play. There's a reason Bryson designed his irons with crazy draw bias to counteract the large grips.

  10. I would deff be curious to do one of these fittings in person to feel the difference between the different weights. I did the ultra lites awhile back because I was having hand pain when I was playing 2 times a week and they helped my pain a lot but I could feel the head in my driver or woods. Is there a jumbo max truck that goes around that does these fittings or is there a good place to get fitted for them.

  11. how to people that use these grips put them in the bag? I use midsize grips and i have a hard time fitting all mine in my bag

  12. Wish the app scanned my hand size….Really all the "app" does is ask you is subjective questions.

  13. I’ve been using jumbo max grips for a while but keep trying different ones. Would love to do an in person fitting.

  14. Currently gaming the Medium Tour Series grips and absolutely love them. They definitely helped my game.
If these helped Jerry id be curious to see if they would help Trent.
