Bubba Wallace just won a crown jewel NASCAR race — and while the win was incredible, the comments I got for congratulating him were disturbing. In this episode, I respond to some of the backlash, debunk the “noose hoax” myth, and call out what this really reveals about parts of the NASCAR fan base.

It’s a good thing we have free speech in this country because some of the reactions to Bubba Wallace winning this race are unhinged for sure. I posted a video on my TikTok right after Bubba Wallace crossed the finish line and after he did his whole burnout and everything congratulating Bubba Wallace and I was praising him for a good job because it was a very good job. He won the race on a fuel saving race at the end double overtime against the most arguable best driver out there, Kyle Larson. That’s not my opinion, but that’s multiple people’s opinions. Kyle Larson is the best driver out there, and he held him off for two overtimes and won. Still had gas to do a burnout. It was a great race. Great finish for Bubba. I’m happy for him. I’m happy for 2311. Happy for Bubba. He’s in the playoffs now. It was just, it was a good race and a good outcome in my opinion. posted that video to Tik Tok. And let me tell you, I knew there was going to be some comments. I didn’t know there was going to be this many comments. As of right now, this video has over 12,500 views and it hasn’t even been 24 hours yet. And there’s almost 150 comments on this video. And I can guarantee you the vast majority of them are negative towards Bubba Wallace. I’m going to read through some of these comments for you just so you can kind of get the grasp of what’s going on here. They had to let him win because Gen Z would have thrown a fit. So now NASCAR is WWE. We know the outcome before it even starts. Multiple comments on here are either a variation of the race was fixed or they knew the outcome ahead of time. I love this one. You sound like you are in love with Bubba because I posted a video congratulating him. Now, here’s where it starts to get a little weird. There’s comments such as, “Who the f cares? Still a noose boy. Mistaken pull rope, lol.” That’s going back to the whole garage incident in 2019, I believe it was. Um, it didn’t have nothing to do with Bubba Wallace. It was a It was a crew member of the team that saw the rope and reported it to NASCAR Security, who then elevated the whole situation. Bubba wasn’t even involved until after it was already a big deal. How’s that on Bubba? I like this one. He He still ain’t S. I almost said the word. I’m trying to try to keep it clean here, but he still ain’t S. He just won a crown jewel at NASCAR. I think he’s pretty good. Oh, yeah. There’s multiple comments on here about how he probably cheated or his gas tank was bigger. That that that’s one of my personal favorites that somehow NASCAR gave him a bigger gas tank. It’s It’s unreal. And so, there are many comments on there and you can go to my TikTok. It’s Matt Spano and the link will be in the description below and you can read through some of these comments. I’m not going to read some of them because even if I try to censor it, it’s still bad enough that this video might get taken down by YouTube. There are some unhinged comments on there 100%. I said in the beginning, I’m glad we still have free speech and and I am. Everybody that left a comment is more than entitled to these opinions that they have because we live in this country and we have that right. Thank God. However, you always when you comment stuff like this, show your true character. And most of these people probably claim to be Christians of themselves. And as a Christian, I can feel like I can speak on this. That is not what Jesus represents. And that is not what people should represent. Regardless, the hate in the vial towards Bubba Wallace is unacceptable for the fact of the matter is that his color is different than yours. That’s what it really boils down to in a lot of these comments. That’s why they hate Bubba Wallace. Now, if you have an opinion on Bubba Wallace and you don’t like him as a driver, that’s great. I encourage that. There’s several drivers that I don’t like for whatever reason, whether it’s their driving style, their sponsors, who owns the team. There are plenty of reasons to not like Bubble Wallace as a driver for those reasons. But most of these comments are not for that. It’s because of the fact of he is African-American or the noose incident or the confederate flag incident which those two kind of go hand in hand because they were right around the same time. And you can have your opinion on the confederate flag or whether it should be shown or not. And I think that may be followed into free speech a little bit but at the end of the day NASCAR is a private organization and they can dictate those rules whether you like it or not. However, those things should not dictate this vile hatred towards Bubba Wallace. I’m going to say it again. I’m going to say it for a while. I’m happy Bubba Wallace won this race. I am happy he’s a crown jewel winner in NASCAR. That is a very exclusive club. And I’m proud to have Bubba Wallace in there as a NASCAR fan. And I wish him nothing more than greater success in the future. And at the end of the day, all these haters have are words on a computer screen. And Bubba Wallace has a lot more over on them. NASCAR can be fun, guys, if we just leave all this crap out. That’s my race recap. I’m not doing a full race recap on this because this is the only story that necessarily matters. So, that’s it. It was a great race, great winner, great outcome, horrible comments afterwards, and Twitter is on fire. Absolutely on fire. And not in a good way. It’s a cesspool. Let’s be honest.

He won 1 in 100 races oh boy. People would dislike wallace less if he wasn't pushed so hard by these media people with an anti white agenda
I don't even dislike wallace himself just the media glazing
I truly feel bad for these individuals. To be filled with that much hate, must be a sad life.
Nascar has integrity issues I wouldn't be shocked if they are manipulating races. Anything with electronic fuel injection can be manipulated
Sort by new to see what was censored.
Like another person said, the white people bad act is getting tiresome. It's great Bubba has taken advantage of the opportunities handed to him
Nascar should have apologized to the garage members it made out to be racist with the noose fiasco. Peak woke insanity
Media wants to push the race angle. They should just not talk about it.
Hello, Mr. Spano…I just got your video courtesy of the YouTube algorithm after watching the recap and interview of yesterday's Brickyard. Thank you for creating and posting this video. As the kids today say…I have "smashed the like and subscribe buttons" of your channel. I'm a Hamlin fan so, by extension I'm a Bubba fan, too. You said it all here…and Bubba said it in his post-race interview. To be the best you have to BEAT the best. He admitted to having some trepidation when saw that #5 car in his mirror. He didn't know how it was going to go. But, he persevered, hit his marks, was supported with the right fuel strategy and he brought home those checkers. How are so-called "race fans" not entertained by that? You don't like this driver or that driver…fine. This sport is all about rooting for your favorite driver. It's also about allowing yourself to be elevated to higher state of consciousness and awareness of the world around you. Bubba's win at Indianapolis was significant due to his race…of course. When you are the first person of a particular group of people to ever do something…that is the definition of significant. We have had racing at Indy for 114 years…and he is the first black man to win there. 114 years. His win was compelling and exciting because it was a race well driven by a great driver. If someone is a race fan, they should be able to appreciate that.
NFL football is totally scripted I'm sure they try to do stuff like that in big time racing too
Personally, I do not like his past antics,he and his crew won that race fair and square ! He held off one of the most skilled racers in the business to get the win. Congrats to the entire 23XI team for the victory !
They should have definitely given him the Kyle Larson treatment for the whole garage incident but this win he did get on his own
You told the truth!
He is a joke he faked racism never forget this dude a joke who sucks
As a Bubba fan who got to be there to experience everything at IMS yesterday, man was it glorious. I ran my mouth the entire time, and the Billy Bobs and Jethros who would absolutely be some keyboard warriors towards him just sulked back to their parking spots.
So dope. That man has put up with so much unnecessary shit over the last 5 years. I'm glad I got to see him grab an absolutely huge W.
The dude has NO talent. Zero
Congratulations Bubba. You are owning the magas! 😂😂😂😂
