The PGA TOUR returns to TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota this week for the 3M Open. Maverick McNealy returns to the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” as the highest ranked golfer in the field and is on the hunt for a spot on the U.S. Team at the Ryder Cup. McNealy finished tied for third last year in Minnesota and has six top 10 finishes in 2025. Joining McNealy is Chris Gotterup, as he returns to the U.S. with momentum on his side. Gotterup won the Genesis Scottish Open and followed that up with a solo third at The Open Championship. Yeah, he made really good contact there. That is beautiful. Hello. There you go. That’s the way you start your day. An eagle for Adam Scott out of the fairway bunker. And also putting seems to be easier here too, Trevor. That is sixiron away for Allison. It’s a Oh my gosh. Time to be a talked about Senson playing so well. Kevin Roy for Eagle at 18 playing in that same group. And here’s a three. What a round of golf he has put on so far today. His second at the first. how he started off a ball of fire right here. Beautiful control there. Got his day started with a birdie, then his third at the seventh. Really awkward spot to be over the screen, but look at that touch. That was five straight birdies. Then another birdie at the ninth to go out in 28. And my goodness, one of the hardest holes. There it is. Tied for the lead. Kirk Kittyama tucked there on the front. Get some height out of there. Help him stop this golf ball. Yeah. Well, it’s Kirk Kittyama today, so you know it’s not a problem. Instead, it’s in the bunker. Carry this quite a ways. See that UPS slope there? He did just that. Super. Now he’ll have that putt. So glad to have you with us on Golf Channel. Kurt Kityama for another birdie at 16 to get to 11 under par for the round, Steve. Two holes left. It’s only a par 71 and 18 is a reachable par five. Normally a hole you got to be a little careful on, but after this T- shot, you can go into attack mode. Probably the easiest win for this T-OT. Wow. Just a lob wedge left. Another one that starts off just left of it now fading. If it spins, it’s good. Oh, it does. Oh man, it took a peek. Oh, that was close. So close. So that’s the second 60 of the week. What a round for Kurt Kityama. Look at all those circles everywhere. Cody left side of the fairway at the first. Just under 80 yards. 79 yds for Pearson. Wow. Oh, just the start he needed. Cookie. Absolutely. That’s a sitting duck this pin right here. That is the spot to putt from. They’re just going in left and right at the fourth as well. So, backto-back birdies for Ashe. Coming off a rare bogey back at the third. See if he can bounce back here. Pretty simple putt. Just moving a little to his left. Yep. Yet to make a par in four holes. Has got her up. Sam Stevens. Yeah, maybe that’ll jump start the special round for Sam. Playing straight down win today. With some confidence. Big time confidence there, Colt. Nice shot. You’re right. Right. Oh, it is pedal to the metal all day today. That a seven iron trying to fade into this back right hole location. That’s just open season on flag sticks. Those two shots. My goodness. Alex Noran for birdie to get to 13 at nine. Matched up the line in speed and Norin has a little momentum. This was a moment ago at the eighth. Sakumi Kaya, what a start he has had to this moving day around. Already four under par in his round of golf today. How about another birdie? Five under through eight holes on the front. Awesome. Beautiful shot. been playing really solid this year. Just a little chip sandwich from 87 yardds. Oh, that’s how you do it right there. No, back on a string. Beautiful tap in birdie coming up as we go to the overnight leader on Friday at the six. The Bjorn Olison forced to lay up here at the par five, his third. Daddy Peppa will be with this group today on these glorious conditions. Uphill with minimal break. Needs pace though. Oh, it had pace, too. At nine. Here’s Cana and Jim. This is where he really shines. Around the greens is his skill set. You’re not kidding. Almost. Wow. Pearls around the cup. That was great off the down slope. One of the better holes. Whoa. Wow. Beta. That was a bonus from there. What a brilliant shot. That was Chris got her up a football field away here. This rough actually might help. This reduces the spin. He could pass for a football player. And that’s a great shot. He’s already made a few birdies already. Has got her up out in 31 and succeeds again. Great three. Wait for the extra point a little later, but very straight birdie putt up the hill for Alex Noran. This is tracking DA. Nice. Alex Norin with an unprobable birdie after the T-OT. Here he goes again. Six under for the day. That familiar anti-left rehearsal for Alex Norn as he steps in 125. Few yards closer and right behind the hole. Spins it back beautifully. Going to have right around 3 and 1/2 4 ft. and raised right there at that same wonderful course and club. Let’s go to 11. And Sam Stevens long attempt for birdie. Oh, he’s made it for birdie. Beautiful. That’s his seventh birdie of the day. Playing alongside Chris Got up. You see his coin still there where he marked. Yes, he’s made another one. Six birdies today along with the double at the ninth. Well, from the right side of the fairway to a tucked right pin. Wind assisted. Receptive hole location. First time in a while to play some offense with Wedge. Yes. And he’s done it. Mark, not bad. Inside 10 ft for Kaya. Strong kid. Going to need that strength here through that thickness. 112 yds. Oh, yes. Oh, he’s got all the shots, doesn’t he? Well, it was four for a little while, Frank. To tie Oh, use the whole hole. Break three. Flighting this one down as well. Great. And at long last, birdie time for Nap. Now Stevens here at 13 has made several really good putts today and this looks good. Frank added to the list. He’s going to go with one less trying to make another one. That is the same club. Very much part of this movie like his idol Thomas Bejorn is at the open championship senior open at Sunningdale this week. Yeah, he’s really started the huge Danish impact at 18 to get to 18 and resides alone at the pinnacle of the leaderboard. Not um super busy. So yeah, that would make a lot of sense. I saw that one of the statistics that Ron Clauss puts out each week for us. Come on now. There you go. That wasn’t a bad iron shot after all. Let’s go to 17. Unusual swing. Gets a little laid off and across the line at the same time. That is a laser finchy and rips it straight at the flag. Can we get another one? The big stand of trees. 14. Same numbers. Pitching wedge. Spin right. Come down the slope. All right. Good chance. Could he finally break that fiveway tie at the top? Jake Knap with a birdie at 14. Yes, he can. The 14th hole yielding a lot of birdies today. That’s 20 birdies at the 14th. to spin back and threaten. Someone used the word earlier, syrupy. And that was absolutely the right description of that shot. His first putt was like close to 100 ft away for Eagle. What a two putt that is. Of course, he had that amazing rally last week. Run it out. Oh yeah. He started the day with 11 straight pies. It was a now should try to come back. Excellent. Excellent. All the way. Jake Nap recovers the drop shot at 17 is able to get 67 out of this with five birdies over the last seven holes. It’s just the story lines are rich immense through many of them. Yeah, it’s going to be a shootout. Similar weather conditions going to be a lot of birdies available for these players. 21 guys within five. Thanks for watching the PGA Tour on YouTube. To watch another video, click here.
