Now, come closer because you’re going to want to hear this. In today’s video, I’m going to show you how we’re going to make your driver perform like an illegal driver to get you hitting the ball further than ever by copying one of the moves all the best drivers in the world do. Now, that sounds good, doesn’t it? Keep watching till the end because I’ve got an extra special gift for you completely free of charge. So, I know what you’re thinking. What is Alli talking about? How can we make our driver like an illegal driver? Well, one of the key things hitting the ball a long way is the length of the shaft. Now, the governing bodies have reigned this in in the last few years. So, it used to be 48 in maximum length. It’s now 46 in. But I’m gonna show you how you’re gonna make your driver play like something like two foot longer so that you can stand up, put a swing on it, and start generating some great club head speed, some fantastic ball speed, and lots and lots of distance. So, what am I talking about? I can’t suddenly make the shaft of the club longer when I’m swinging, can I? We can’t. But what we can start thinking about is if we went from our lead shoulder to the club head, that total distance we can see down the line is much much longer than the butt end of the club to there. But how are we going to do that? So there’s three ways I think golfers get back to impact with driver. The first one is that when they make the swing, the club head overtakes the hands. And we can see as that angle’s big, the distance from the club head to the shoulder is less. The overexaggerated version the other way is that the hands are way ahead. And again, that distance from club head to shoulder is very short. And the way the best players in the world do it is by impact. That lead arm’s fully stretched. And that’s the maximum distance. That lever is nice and long, moving quicker, and hitting better shots. So, I’m just going to put a couple of the best drivers in the world up on screen and show you where they get back at impact. And you can see as they’re swinging, it’s amazing. They’ve got nice width on the way back, the width from the lead shoulder to the lead hand stays nice and wide, but by impact, they’re fully extended into the golf ball. Now, just if you’re not sure which one you tend to be, the first one I’m going to do is where the club head overtakes the hands. So, 95 mph club speed, 140 ball speed, 213 carry, and 261 total, but also way left. And I would say in my experience, that’s the one that’s few and far between. The next one would be where the golf is really dragging the handle of the club. Club face will be wide open. So we see 99 mph club speed, 138 ball speed, 192 carry, 205 off the planet, right? And the final one is when we get everything fully extended into impact and we’ll see a jumping ball speed. see the jumping club speed, jumping ball speed, more carry, more total, and more accurate. So hopefully you’re thinking, I need me some of that. So there’s a few different ways we can create that feeling in the swing. So, the first one I like golfers to think about is on the way back as they’re making that back swing, we want to try and feel that that right hand, even though it’s left arm, we’re noticing, want to feel that right hand stays away from us in the back swing. As soon as that gets narrow, we see that gap’s narrow and then it’s can we get back in time. So, keep the right hand away, then make the down swing. So, that’s the first step. So, we’re going to stand up. Just think right hand away. So, we see 100 mph, club speed, nearly 150 ball speed, 208 and 280, lots of run out and a little bit down the left. And I think for a lot of golfers when they get narrow, this when they start kind of releasing the club really, really early, that’s when that kind of maximum distance is already there way before impact. And then it’s a manipulation. So once you do a few with that feel, then I actually want you to kind of have a very different concept of what you want to do. And we’re going to just lift the club up to about knee height. And then we’re going to make that back swing, but on the down swing, instead of feeling like we’re going to hit at the ball, we’re going to feel like we throw the club kind of diagonally out in front of us. So it’s going to be very much And it’s really noticeable for me there as I swing down how wide everything feels on the way through. Not like we’d see with a lot of golfers where the leading in left elbow starts to bend. See that chicken wing or even the other way everything collapses and there’s no width. So, I love that idea of taking your focus away from the golf ball and feeling like we’re throwing the club. So, do it knee height to begin with. Right hand away. Throw the club as far as you can. Then we’ll have a practice swing down to the ground. And then we’ll get into the golf ball and reproduce that feel. Now, a little bit out the toe. I’ll be honest, not the best strike in the world, which is why that’s turning over, but 107 mph club speed, 157 ball speed with the pause strike, 246 carry, and 296 total. Now, obviously hitting the ball nearer the middle does help, but that’s not a terrible one. But we definitely saw a lot more club head speed in there. So again, I would go knee height. Feels so good and feels so wide here and on the way through. Get into the ball again. Felt good. Nearly 108 club speed, 158 ball speed, 254 carry, and 277 total. Now, I hope you’re enjoying the video. If you are, like it, share it, comment below, and let me know. These videos are all about you playing better golf, but also I’m going to pop a link in the top right corner that you can click that will give you free access to five of my fundamental videos to help you play better golf. But for now, let’s get back to using your new illegal driver. And I showed a couple of videos of the best drivers in the world. And Rory was talking, I think it was last year, about how he actually went a little shorter in his driver to try and get a better strike. But again, that’s great because when you’re maximizing the length of that lead arm and that driver into impact, you’re still making a massive arc, giving the club head tons of time to accelerate. And I can’t promise Rory’s club head speed, but we can see straight away there for me there’s maybe a 10 mph jump from using the width of the club better. And again, if you can get there, set up, focus on a good swing. We see 108 and a half mph club speed, great strike for 161 ball speed, 267 carry, and 296 total. Now, obviously, the middle of the club face has been limited as to how springy it can be, how quick we can get the ball coming off for over 20 years. So, you’ve got to try and do as much as you can. obviously hit the middle and create speed, but the offc center ones nowadays are more forgiving. And I find myself as we get towards the end of the video here, chasing something I chased on my last video of can I get to 300 total. So, I definitely feel if I can get right hand away, really feel like I’m going to throw the club out in front of me as far as I can. We see again 109.6 club speed, 162 ball speed, nearly 270 carry, and 304 total. So remember, sh don’t tell everybody, but we want to make sure that this legal conforming driver starts creating club head speed like never before and hitting longer, straighter drives than you’ve ever done in your game.

I have been struggling with my Driver lately (lots of pulls to the left); great information and advice here…thank you Ali.
Trying this tomorrow
I’m a 68 yr old with an artificial left hip. I tried this and it helped me get and extra 20-30 yards.
