Here’s some ways that you can beat the heat and lower your scores this summer. See a lot of people having the umbrella up during the hot season, which is great. Keeps the sun off, but you can also use it as a towel holder. Wet your towel. Keep one towel just for face and hands. That way, it’s under the umbrella. It’s nice and clean. The other towel you want to wet for the golf clubs to keep them clean. Not only the face, but also the grips. Wipe down your grips after each shot. Takes all the oil and the heat and the moisture off your grip. Keeps them tacky. Another way to beat the heat is to find yourself a small cooler. No outside alcohol, but outside ice is very welcome. Ice and water. You take your clean towel, you dip it in, you wet yourself down, you feel nice and cool, and if you have to do it again and again, water stays there cold. So, you got one end of your towel is nice and wet for your face, your hands, and it stays clean. Another thing you can do to beat the heat is to find yourself a decent pair of rain gloves. Because if your hands sweat, like a lot of people do, putting on rain gloves will only increase your ability to hold on to the club. Won’t get you frustrated. Something I found interesting is that if your hands still sweat, you don’t have rain gloves, you can go get some baby powder from the dollar store, put it on your hands, and it keeps your hands you get your gloves on and off a lot easier.
