Check out the best shots of the day from Round 4 of the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open, featuring Rory McIlroy, Nicolai Højgaard and Chris Gotterup, who carded a 4-under 66 to finish at 15-under for the tournament, two strokes clear of the field for his second win of his PGA TOUR career.

The PGA TOUR heads across the pond for the Genesis Scottish Open. The event, co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour, is set to boast a field consisting of many of the world’s top players including FedExCup and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, back in action for the first time since the Travelers Championship. Scheffler will be joined by 2022 champion Xander Schauffele and fellow two-time major champion Collin Morikawa. Recent U.S. Open winner J.J. Spaun is also in the field, meaning all four reigning major champions will tee it up this week. Robert MacIntyre returns to defend his home country’s open, which he won in dramatic fashion in 2024, and is attempting to become the first to go back-to-back in tournament history. Rory McIlroy, a previous winner at the Genesis, will be looking to regain form before The Open is played in his native Northern Ireland the following week.

Incredible scenes. And this is well turning into one of the signature holes. Here’s Chavaria. Four holes left to play of this round. Oh, what a shot. All the problems that the six goals caused today [Applause] and someone makes a mockery of it. Holy one. Victor Havlin at the second just missed the green. Little bit of a pitch shot. Catching some pace. Oh, Vic. All of a sudden, he’s just six under stealing one at the second. We just saw Harry Hall. Well, this should be helping off the tea today. So, well within reach for the top players. That’s it. Sit. Oh, sit. Oh. [Applause] A good chance for a buddy here for Sheffler. But this is an eagle put up first. Back up the slope and oh, Scotty Sheffller. All of a sudden he makes himself known. This would be good timing. What an awesome eagle two for Ludvig Ober. And now all of a sudden things are starting to tighten up [Music] right. Oh, that one hung on nicely in there. Close for a birdie. Four. [Applause] Unfortunate to cut into the flag. You get what you deserve. And the fight of the second shot was just what he wanted. It didn’t reach the top of its flight. It dipped down. As good as being on the fairway almost. Nice and clean. Can control the spin here to the fourth. He’s taken full advantage of that. Don’t think he can spin it. Short follow through once again eyeing this one up and down. No wonder it’s fairly adjacent. A chance to bounce back after the six at the last. That’s what the top players do. It was a very poor six from Mak. It’s a very fine three before making business threeway. He made a great living being left to write users. It’s top quality golf. Simply that. Certain two for him. It’s been a much better day. He’s 400 so far for the final round. Got up at seven. He’s found the middle of the cap. He’s also found a share of the lead alongside Maroy because it’s got such a corrugated iron green. Just depends whether you land on the little ups slope or the little down slope. Got a nice forward bounce coming. They’ve been scarce on the eighth. Maroyy’s made one. Fourth birdie on this hold so far today. And it’s looking good. Hopefully get a little bit of a grab on about the third bounce and then release it. Grab. Oh yes. Pictured just in a little ups slope and stalled it. A little bit of check and this is such a good eagle try from Mattie Fitz coming off his ride. Could have a chance here on his merry way. Eagle there yesterday. An eagle here today. Yeah. 155 yds now. He’s going to he he can knock these down nicely. Get it drawing towards this flag. You try and fly it all the way and you go long. It’s not the thing to do. Oh, this is just spectacular. Over. The farther left you go off the tea here, the flatter alive you tend to be able to drum up. Again, obviously you’ve got Good firm hit. Definitely the right strategy. That’s a good choice in the end. Nicely played shot over the top of the pile. And it goes increasingly impressive. Got himself one clear. No, two putts from here. He’ll take it. Had a little bump there. This is racing. Needs to slow down a bit. How about hit the pin. That’s one way to get the ball to slow down right there. He is on a different level right now. Nikolai Hoygard pedal down and then some today. Turning the club upside down. Trev, this could be so tricky. Okay, got good contact. gets well done, but he’s one behind. And no staring bogey in the face here at 11. [Music] Go, go, go. Oh, and go. It did. Lovely shot. Reminds me of the 17th at Augusta this year when he was calling for that ball to go when it just carried the front bunker. He knows what this means. Taking a little extra time here. What a putt for Maroy. Very similar to the one he held back at seven for Par. See that old location perched on the edge of the world. It looks like I think they missed the world actually. Don’t slide too far left. Oh wow. This gorgeous shot by Gotup. The only part of his game that’s held him back a little bit in his young career on tour. just pours it in to take the two shot lead with a two at the 12th. Such an impressive birdie. There’s just only been five twos there today. Got an opportunity to get the nine under. He gets it in the back of the cup hard with conviction, with speed, with confidence. Oberg nine under. Wow. Yeah. Second 15 with ping. Another beautiful pass. That’s for nine iron on a great line. Oh, look at that. Sits silently. Tell you what, he makes that. He’s got a down the wind par five coming up with tons of speed. Trundle on its way over. It’s not too bad. He got a little teach from Maroy. Oh, right in the middle. The two-shot lead is back with just two to go. Finishes in style and golf has a new upandcomer. [Applause] Nothing but respect from Rory for what he saw and wind them as well. 1. I smell a Brooks Koepka type of run for CG. Watch out, folks. Would be a shame to leave this gamer off the Ryder cup as a captains pick. So tough for Keegan this year to pick. He needs to pick someone other than himself because there are so many choices and it would be selfish to choose yourself as a playing captain.

  2. DOES ANYONE AT the PGA TOUR read this comments? I love these summaries, great for those of us who missed the telecast often because we live in different time zones. But they are spoilers. The Opening page always shows either the guy who won or the two guys who battled down the stretch. So we know the winner or likely winner before we watch, robbing the clip of drama. These are NOT newspaper headlines; they should be teasers to get us to watch. But that opening page is always a spoiler.

  3. How can you end your highlights like this? You didn't show the 17th or the 18th hole. Absolutely pathetic. Even worse than the DP tour highlights. 😩
