Hey team worldwide, welcome back to the channel. If you’re new to the channel, hit that like and subscribe button if you like what you see. Today we’re going to jump into something from Callaway. Apex AI 150 addition to their line of Apex irons that dropped last year. This Apex AI 150 is a completely different looking iron in the line. We’ve actually gone from the polish finish to the satin finish. It’s designed for the better player. It’s got a better player look. It’s got a better player loft package. Completely different. I’m excited to hit it. This is more aimed at me. The 200 was a little bit big, a little bit strong in loft. So, I’m pretty excited to get into this one. Hang around for the end of the video cuz this is not the only iron we’re going to review. There is another premium iron from Callaway coming. Stay to the end to watch me hit that thing. [Music] Let’s talk a little bit about the AI 150s tech. We’ve got a forged hollow body construction. Just like the other two sister clubs, this is also got a split in the set designed for control. We’ve got a 455 face in the four down to the 7 iron. And then we got a 714 face from the eight down to the wedge. It’s going to give you a little bit more control and consistency in those lower irons where it’s going to increase those ball speeds and more flight from those longer irons which we know everyone needs. Today I’m going to put five irons to the test. Everyone probably thinks that’s a weird mix, but basically five iron is that tipover point when we start need to keep the ball in the air a little bit better. It’s where you start blending golf clubs for this better player as well. So, I’m putting the AI 150 against the AI 200. And again, hang around at the end of the video to check out that secret premium club from Callaway that I’m going to put to the test. I’m going to start by testing the AI 2000. You’ve seen this out in the mix, but let’s start by getting the baseline with this and then we’ll put the new 150 to the test. Starting with the AI 200. This is not something I ever put in the bag. It’s a little bit bigger than what I would normally play. The loft package is a little stronger. This has got the DG Mid 100 in it. The AI150 has got the DG Mid5 in it. And the Secret Club has got the DG Mid 90 in it. So, that should give you a hint as to where we’re going to go with loft and body size. But, let’s start off with the 200. Okay, good feel. And now looking down it, I think I make a lot of assumptions playing some golf that I shouldn’t play clubs, but this thing actually looks pretty good to me. That’s a good one to get on. That’s my toe mish hit. It’s nice to see how far that flies, how high it gets. That’s something I really need help with in the bag. The golf club to do as much as it can for me. Hang on. All right. This is an interesting test. I don’t really hit a lot of five irons, so I’d love to hit the green more often with a five iron. at least once would be would be good. Maybe maybe maybe. Okay. Well, let’s take a look at those numbers to start with and see what we got. Okay. Average ball speed 133 miles an hour, 3,300 RPMs, landing at 41°, carrying 210. It’s landing a little shallower than I’d want for sure. Spins lower than what I would want for sure. I didn’t get all of those in the middle, but I think it’s going to be a fair test. So, let’s get the AI 150, stack it head-to-head, and see what it does. Jumping right into AI 150. Already, I kind of actually like the high polished feel. It makes it feel a little more premium. I feel like Apex was such a big release for Callaway. You had did so well with it for so many years. This is a nice addition to the line for those players that want that better look and want that Apex name, that that new AI technology. The AI 10X face is something I failed to mention in the tech earlier, but that’s going to help with consistency across the face, which I need. Looking down at it, definitely a little more slim, a little less offset, a better looking club to me. Straight out of the gate, that felt different. and and looking at the sole design here. You probably can’t get this on camera because of the high polish, but it’s got that that real big camber on the leading edge, which is going to help the club get through the turf better for those steep players or those high speed players who who tend to hit down on it a bit more anyway. Wow. For a player style club and the lofts aren’t jacked, this thing feels really solid off the face. It’s really hot. It’s a different feel to the AI 200. I I think I prefer it. I can just just feel a little more golf club like it’s it’s there for me. I mean, I felt like I’ve hit this club better anyway. But we can already see I’ve got a little more RPMs appearing there. 3800. My ball speed’s starting to work towards where I need it. 135 mph there and a carry 211. So, it’s in the same wheelhouse, but I feel like I’m getting more flight, more height out of it. And I’m not even sure you can see this on camera right now, but I feel like this is definitely going straighter. Um, just suits my eye better. It’s delivering the club in a better way. That was a nice one to finish on. Good five for five test. See if that one hits the green, how it stops. Still a little shy, but pretty good. Okay, let’s put these numbers headto-head. See what the differences are. Some pretty compelling evidence here that the AI 150 suits me way better. We’ve got higher ball speed. We’ve got higher launch, higher spin, more stopping power, and half a club longer. The main thing for me is just check out those dispersions on the far right there. The AR200 is a wide one. Lots of mis hits. The AI150 struck it much more consistently. Hit my target more often with more ball speed and stopping power. So, more height, more ability to control that ball when it hits the ground. Definitely an AI50 player. I think it looks better to me with the high polish. It suits my eye. That sole design is going to help those guys that dig it. Face tech is great. Hopefully, you get more consistency and more control in that eight iron down the slightly different face. Now, this is chromeplated. If you know anything about TI Fusion, the prior model or its sister model was all blacked out. Pretty cool looking thing. They have re-released it with a chromeplated finish, too. So, you’re going to see the TI Fusion that’s chromeplated. Exactly the same specs as a prior gen that was black. This is a new addition to the family, the Ty Fusion 250. It is a bigger body. It’s got more offset. It’s designed for a more confidence inspiring look for that player who needs a little bit more help. Hence, the dynamic gold mid90 shaft as the stock option. Something to think about there. For me, it might be a little soft for my speed. So, consistency might drop off, but we’re hoping that the head technology is going to even that out and I still hit it really good. This has got a stronger loft package at 30° in the 7 iron. We’ve got a titanium face, which is a premium finish. Think titanium, think wood, think hybrid. This technology is designed to really go far and go high. We’ve got a forged body, and it’s still a great looking golf club. It looks really premium. It is a premium price point, and I’ve got a five iron to put it headto-head with the AI 150 and the AI 200. And let’s see what it does. It’s a good looking club. A little more offset. I can see a little more heel to toe length and I actually can see a little bit of the back of the club. Having said that, the top line is still pretty thin. Most people don’t like seeing a thick top line. This hasn’t got a really chunky top line. Okay, that was a little mishit and I think we’re still well in the wheelhouse of the others for distance. Yeah, that was my toe strike that I always get pretty good result. a little heavy, but wow. So, I said some of this consistency, and this is why fitting is so important. This golf shaft’s a little light and a little soft for me, and the golf shaft bends through impact. It’s going to behave a little weird through strike and cause me to mistrike it a little more than I would with something I regularly play with a little stiffer, a little heavier. That was a little better strike. Got You can see that in the height. Still getting there. It’s interesting. Even mishhitting this club, I’m getting exactly the same distance as those good strikes with the AI 150. Looks like this titanium face does a lot of work for me. Again, mis hit. Let’s see what this does. I feel like this is going to get there still. Yep. Crazy forgiving golf club. Okay. Not a bad one to finish on. It’s okay. All right. Let’s check out the numbers. TI 250 TI Fusion titanium in an iron. That’s pretty crazy. So for me here in a five iron, it’s definitely all about launch, spin, land angle. That’s a testament to its technology, the face speed it produces, and the forgiveness across the face that it really provides for those mis hits. And this golf club is designed for people who are not hitting the center of the club as often as those really, really dedicated great players. We saw the spin 3,300, well within touching distance of the AI 150, and we saw the carry almost the same as the AI50. I struck the AI50 well compared to the TI250. Remember, this is a premium golf club. It sets itself apart with that technology. Titanium is expensive, but it does an awesome job. So, there you have it. Apex’s new additions. AI 150. We’ve got the TI 250. And do remember there is the actual TI Fusion chrome plated, which is a new option, a new finish option at least to go for too. AI also have the 300 in the line. Don’t forget that. All of that lends into going to get fit for the product. You can see here if you were to look at that dispersion graph for me, you might pick any one of those three clubs. I really enjoyed the feel and the consistent strike of the AI 150, but they all did a good job. Get to a worldwide golf retail location or worldwidegolf.com. Not quite sure what value to find here , you hit one club somewhat decent and the other club pretty poorly. And your conclusion is somehow related to the clubs – how ?
