so we use different weights in the heel and toe of the putter is basically to change what the player feels in his hands so there’s a certain amount of weight that the player is going to feel in his hands based on the weight and the balance of the putter and so as you go from 33 to 34 to 35 the length changes and so the distance of the player is hands are away from the head are going to change and so you got to add some weight as a putter gets shorter to get that same sort of feel and Scotty figured this out over years building putters for players at different weights and so uh he came up with this formula through experimentation but you can just do the math and it Yeah so for every inch it gets shorter you’re going to have to have add 10 g to that head and so it’s really cool to see how Scotty did this through uh experimentation out in the wild if you will of of the PGA Tour and you can do the math you get the same answer so it’s kind of cool when when those two things match up
