[Music] i see this guy you know blonde hair you know I said “Oh let me see if he can play.” Okay
man i’m sitting there watching him shooting he must have made 30 in a row all net i
So he was Steph Curry before Steph
yeah yeah yeah and I’m sitting on this dude can play okay
cuz you know brothers we always say “Okay can the white dude really play?” Correct so so then I said “Oh man
you’re a bad boy.” Right then we got in the game jack Given was player of the year that year
right he tore him up man
from Jack G from Kentucky
kentucky
cuz they won a national championship that same time yeah yeah okay
man larry Bird was taking it to him i said “Oh man i’m calling back home saying “Oh he for real he for real this new Larry Bird right oh he got it he play he’s dominating Jack Evans.” And they said “No way.” I said “Oh yeah he’s dominating.”
You know what it’s funny cuz I I tell a whole lot of people this when they talking about you know great players and they bring up Larry Bird i said “Listen the dude couldn’t jump
wasn’t fast you know but wasn’t athletic.”
Mhm
but you look on the score the score sheet after the game he got 25 15 rebounds nine assists a few ste i said “The dude just knew how to play.” Yes
right and the thing that I loved about him is that he was a talker and I wish you would have got a chance to play against him Robert cuz I swear to God you would have loved playing against him because the dude
would just tell you where he’s going shoot it in your face talk to you and run back down the floor and he he was he was just one of those guys that you know he he had he just had it
you know what I mean he had and I saw it in college and obviously saw it a whole lot closer when we get a chance to play against the Celtics he was the biggest trash talker back in the day but he would back it up

  1. This coming from
Byron who could play and be good to great in any era is crazy. The more I learn about ball. The more Larry just stands out to me. Like how was this guy so good

  2. Loved my Celtics and still do, Bird was the Best player of all times. Don’t get me wrong the Lakers were great, but my heart belongs to Boston

  3. So he's more like luka then. Wasn't athletic but then got a lot score and is also a talker

  4. Yeah!!! Larry Legend was the Truth. Only thing I disagree with is Byron saying he wasn't athletic and he couldn't jump🤔 He didn't have MJ hops but Bird would dunk on ya ass and was exceptional at rebounding. One of the highest IQ players ever and he had that DOG in 'em!!! Bad White Boy with that 🏀

  5. Green and white shoe, outline of Larry shot blocking, doing the under leg or over shoulder pass, on the tounge, still waiting for my fresh azz pair of birds

  6. About Bird not being able to jump, he had the best fade away jump shot out of anybody. Even Magic couldn't stop him. He could time that fade away jumper perfectly and no one could do anything about it. So Bird could jump just fine but for his own shots.
