{"id":7692,"date":"2026-09-26T22:14:12","date_gmt":"2026-09-26T22:14:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fogolf.com\/us\/7692\/"},"modified":"2026-09-26T22:14:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-26T22:14:12","slug":"wyndham-clark-disappointed-in-presidents-cup-crowd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fogolf.com\/us\/7692\/","title":{"rendered":"Wyndham Clark disappointed in Presidents Cup crowd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wyndham Clark called out golf fans at Medinah No. 3 for the lack of atmosphere on the first day of the 2026 Presidents Cup after the U.S. had taken a 3-2 lead over the Internationals.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Clark suggested that the \u201cmomentum could have been better\u201d with greater vibes around the course on Thursday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was kind of dead out there,\u201d Clark told reporters. \u201cI felt like the momentum could have been better, to be honest, because we weren\u2019t really feeling the fans, I think, as much as normal.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udea8\ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f #NEW \u2014  Wyndham Clark sounds off on the fan enthusiasm at Medinah on Thursday: \u201cIt was kind of dead out there. It was a little surprising. IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect<\/p>\n<p>U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker also expressed some disappointment about the spectator reaction, but he expressed faith that the crowds will show up.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a weird day. I really felt like the fans were out there and they were there, but the 1st tee was loud, and then it just kind of dissipated as the day went on. I don\u2019t know why,\u201d Snedeker said. \u201cI think part of it was because the golf course was set up pretty difficult. There was some really tough pins out there, so it was really hard to get a lot of birdies going. You\u2019ve got guys going crazy, I guess.
