Dallas will soon become home to the U.S. flagship location of TOCA Social, a\u00a0Topgolf-style soccer venue, this spring.\u00a0<\/p>\n
TOCA Social, which has three locations in the UK, was founded by former U.S. national team player Eddie Lewis to help grow the sport. Given its popularity in the UK, he decided to bring it back home to the U.S.<\/p>\n
“TOCA was born from my obsession with the technical side of the game and the belief that a soccer ball should be at everyone\u2019s feet,” Lewis said in a statement to the Dallas Business Journal. “After seeing the incredible reception in the UK, bringing our Social flagship home to the U.S .\u2014 and specifically to a soccer-rich market like Dallas \u2014 is a dream realized. We\u2019ve created a place where the skill of the pros meets the energy of a world-class night out.”<\/p>\n
The 20,000-square-foot venue, featuring soccer simulators, a street-food-inspired menu, a bar, and large screens for game day watch parties, was initially set to open in 2023. However, plans were delayed due to the ongoing recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The venue is now scheduled to open on March 6 at Grandscape in The Colony, and it is\u00a0already accepting reservations.<\/p>\n
TOCA\u00a0Social is owned by TOCA Football Inc., a California-based soccer training and entertainment company that already operates indoor training centers in North Texas. The expansion of\u00a0TOCA Social to the U.S. is driven in partnership with Major League Soccer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
