A: Exterior signage is up as Sprouts Farmers Market and Golf Galaxy prepare to launch new stores in the shared anchor space vacated by Bed Bath & Beyond a few years ago on the northwest corner of Airport-Pulling and Pine Ridge roads in North Naples. The new Sprouts grocery store is set to open May 15 at 5351 Airport-Pulling Road in Ridgeport Plaza, while the adjacent Golf Galaxy is targeted to open in late summer.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Sprouts grocery store will be the second location in Collier County for the Phoenix-based chain popular for its fresh produce, bulk foods and organic options. The first regional Sprouts launched in 2019 to anchor Logan Landings at Logan Boulevard and Immokalee Road. The new 24,491-square-foot store is slightly smaller than the chain\u2019s initial 29,843-square-foot market in North Naples.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new store boldly flips Sprouts\u2019 exterior color scheme from green lettering on a white building to white letters on a green background. It also features the logo the company introduced in 2020 that uses a curling vine marking the \u201cO\u201d in the middle of Sprouts, promoting its \u201cWhere Goodness Grows\u201d slogan.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
The local launch returns a grocery store to that Ridgeport Plaza spot. Before Bed Bath & Beyond opened there in 1995, Winn-Dixie supermarket originally anchored that center, which was built in the late 1980s. Winn-Dixie eventually moved across the street to Carillon Place in the end unit where Walmart Neighborhood Market is today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The existing Golf Galaxy in the Promenade at Naples Centre will move this summer to a new location less than a half-mile south on Airport-Pulling Road to an inline space in Ridgeport Plaza.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the new 20,780-square-foot Golf Galaxy performance center will be more than 40% smaller than its existing 35,355-square-foot freestanding building nearby in the Promenade at Naples Centre. The retail chain plans to relocate less than a half-mile south on Airport-Pulling Road to the inline space in Ridgeport Plaza. The current store at 6428 Hollywood Blvd. will remain open until after the new store launches, which is tentatively planned for the third week in August.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Golf Galaxy \u2014 owned and operated by Dick\u2019s Sporting Goods \u2014 promotes itself as the world\u2019s largest golf superstore for golf clubs, equipment, accessories, gear and apparel.\u202fStore features include hitting bays, high-tech simulators, putting greens and PGA\/LPGA-certified pros for lessons and custom fittings.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Targeted to open in early June, the new store will be the sixth for the Florida-based brand, which has another regional location near Topgolf in Fort Myers. A:\u202fLand clearing\u202fstarted in late February\u202ffor a new\u202fDunkin\u2019 and much more. A Dunkin\u2019 drive-thru will anchor the northern end of\u202fa\u202fnew\u202f8,600-square-foot retail strip with\u202ffive\u202fother units.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
The\u202fvacant\u202f2-acre\u202fproperty\u202fis between\u202fVFW Golden Gate Post 7721 and\u202fthe retail strip\u202fwith the World Bakery & Cafeteria\u202fand\u202fthe Circle K convenience store\/car wash\u202fon the northwest corner of Pine Ridge Road and Collier Boulevard.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

Besides\u202fDunkin\u2019,\u202fKoroghlian\u202fdoesn\u2019t\u202fhave tenants lined up yet for the other five units in the future commercial center.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI haven\u2019t even started looking to lease it out,\u201d\u202fhe\u202fsaid. \u201cI don\u2019t know what else is going in there yet.\u201d\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
Dunkin\u2019 will have\u202f1,927 square feet\u202fof floor space with 18 seats\u202fin the coffee shop.\u202fIn order for\u202fthe business to have visibility from Collier Boulevard, its drive-thru lane will form a large loop capable of stacking more than 10 vehicles.\u202fAccess to\u202fthe\u202fnew\u202fretail center\u202fwill\u202fbe via a previously constructed shared-use drive off Collier Boulevard, a right-in\/right-out drive off Pine Ridge Road, and a connection to Neff\u2019s Way, which meets Pine Ridge Road.\u202fNearly a\u202fthird of the\u202facreage will have\u202fa preserve on its western end.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
Koroghlian\u202fowns\u202f50\u202fDunkin\u2019 franchises, which\u202fincludes 27\u202flocations\u202fin\u202fthis region. \u201cThis will be number 28\u202fin Southwest Florida,\u201d he said.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
The new Dunkin\u2019\u202fat\u202f13119 Collier Blvd.\u202fwill be only 2.5 miles south\u202ffrom\u202fthe Dunkin\u2019 at Collier Boulevard and Vanderbilt Beach Road. That Dunkin\u2019 in Mission Hills shopping center is the only regional location not owned by\u202fKoroghlian.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
Koroghlian\u2019s\u202ffranchise accumulation is\u202fa major employer in the region. \u201cThat\u2019s 600 local jobs,\u201d\u202fhe said.\u202f\u201cNot so bad.\u201d\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
