Emergency crews rushed to a ritzy San Francisco golf course Friday over a hazmat incident that left a man hospitalized.<\/p>\n
The San Francisco Fire Department responded to the Presidio Golf & Concordia Club for an incident involving muriatic acid and chlorine, the department said.<\/p>\n

SFPD Capt. Mariano Elias told the California Post that the toxic mixture was linked to a hot tub at the club.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey mixed 30 gallons of muriatic acid with chlorine and it became a toxic vapor,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
A visitor to the club inhaled the vapors and took himself to the hospital for treatment, club manager Randy Lim told The Post, describing the man as in his 20s.<\/p>\n
\u201cResidents and businesses in the immediate area are asked to avoid the area and follow directions from emergency personnel while operations are underway.\u201d X\/@SFFDPIO<\/p>\n

\u201cOur HazMat units and fire companies are working to assess the situation, identify any potential hazards, and ensure the safety of the public and our first responders,\u201d the SFPD said.<\/p>\n
Elias added that the department of Public Health responded and that crews were able to dispose of the mixture in four and a half hours.<\/p>\n
