Golfing great Phil Mickelson has reportedly been banned from playing at Southern California\u2019s The Farms Golf Club after being accused of making unwanted contact with a female employee.<\/p>\n
The three-time Masters winner was \u201ctold to vacate\u201d the grounds of The Farms Golf Club following the incident that allegedly occurred in the course\u2019s clubhouse earlier this year, according to a Golf Digest report unearthed by USA Today.<\/p>\n

The victim immediately reported the \u201cnon-consensual and inappropriate\u201d contact to her bosses. Mickelson was ejected from the San Diego course before he could continue his round.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll members are required to adhere to our Code of Conduct, and any allegations of misconduct are taken seriously,\u201d the golf club said in a statement addressing the incident.<\/p>\n
Farms Golf Club added that \u201cThis individual is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club.\u201d<\/p>\n

A lawyer for the 55-year-old golfer told Golf Digest that there\u2019s a lot of misinformation making the rounds about the matter leading to Mickelson\u2019s clash with club officials adding that \u201cPhil\u2019s full attention is devoted to a private family health matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
His attorney, Tom Clare, added that his client would hold any publication that reported on the incident falsely accountable in court. Clare has a reputation for taking cases that challenge media organizations.<\/p>\n
Michelson announced in April that he was taking an \u201cextended period of time\u201d away from the golf course to \u201cnavigate a personal health matter\u201d of an unspecified nature.<\/p>\n
He also said in February that he was withdrawing from a pair of LIV Golf events to focus on a family health matter. That organization was founded by the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia to compete with the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n
