Online footage from the Chandigarh Army Golf Club shows an elderly Army commando veteran confronting a cobra and seemingly moving it away from the course.<\/p>\n

Here’s what to know<\/p>\n

According to SSBCrack, the veteran spotted the cobra out on the course and didn’t appear shaken by the encounter.<\/p>\n

Carrying a golf club, he walks toward the snake and uses the club to redirect it while maintaining some distance, even as the cobra lifts its hood.<\/p>\n

No official statement has identified the man, and the Indian Army, the golf club, and local authorities have said nothing about what happened afterward. In the video, he later squats near the cobra and appears to guide it off the playing area.<\/p>\n

When Lt. Col. Sushil Singh Sheoran shared the clip on X, he commended his poise and included a direct warning for viewers: “Please don’t try this at home.”<\/p>\n

Indian cobras are highly venomous. When threatened, they often raise the front of their bodies and spread their hoods as a warning display, making close-range encounters especially dangerous.<\/p>\n

Snakes do turn up on golf courses partly because wide stretches of grass, bushes, water, and nearby vegetation can provide both cover and prey.
