all right guys welcome to a short game practice session of a professional golfer i start every putting practice with a chalk line and gate drill to make sure that I’m rolling my ball online and aiming correctly and then I also use the mirror for eye alignment because my tendency is to stand a little too far away and that just helps with consistency i move to the 357 drill where I have to make them in a row and honestly this only took me one time which doesn’t always happen the next thing I’ll do is I’ll place 20 T’s at putt lengths from 5t to 9 ft and my goal is to make 15 out of 20 of the putts this is very hard so disclaimer there this is a great drill because it forces you to have a little bit of pressure because you want to hit the goal and it’s very difficult and I had this last putt here to hit the 15 out of 20 goal which felt really good on two wedges I was working on 45 yard and 60-yard wedge shots which are two numbers I don’t normally love but I’ve noticed a big improvement in them since practicing them more which has then fed into more consistent ball striking with all of my wedges and short irons i then did a little bunker work because I literally shanked a bunker shot on the golf course the day before so I figured you know I should probably practice a few of those i think a lot of people tend to neglect bunker shots so I was just working on high softies chunking runs and then here I am finishing off with some chipping let me know if you guys use any of these drills i hope you all enjoyed it thanks for watching and peace out

  1. Great selection of drills. I use variations on most of them. There are as many variations as your imagination can come up with. This spring I'll be focussed most on 3-7 foot putts, consistency of strike feel on chips and shorter pitches, and finally nailing down some decent consistency from the d@mn beach! Basic meat and potato stuff. But when your goal coming back to golf after a long layoff is just to get back to 90, meat and potatoes are pretty important!

  2. Marissa – I wrote to Cailyn a couple days ago asking her to do some teaching videos. I would ask the same from you. You are a gifted player with a wonderful swing. I suspect many viewers would welcome tips. For example, you were practicing the shorter wedges here. What are your thoughts? Can you tell us what you do? Common mistakes? Just the nuts and bolts of dealing with that kind of yardage. Most of the time in the GGG vids, you are shown only from the back. We can't really see the timing of your swing from the back, the sequencing, whether you have a steady head or have some lateral movement, the firing of your hips, your hands at impact, etc. I would love to hear from all the ladies about their swings.

  3. Looks like fun. I enjoy practicing. One of the best things I ever did for my putting was going to the practice green and putting 3 footers for 2 whole hours. That’s how long it took me to hit 10 in a row. Even when I didn’t play golf for a few years, I was still comfortable over a 3 footer when I started back. I need to work on your 357 drill.

  4. With the chipping around the green Phil Mickelson says your hands should pass your left side and the ball will come out dead it does work .

  5. This is great content from a pro player. Love the good good and ggg stuff, but this is great and usable for us viewers !

  6. Curious, do you practice also without a hole so you can understand how far past the hole you are going with pace?

  7. Wow, serious grind on the putting green. 💪🏼 I love alignment stick speed drills.
