Brooks Koepka is going to want to have this one back.

At the 2025 LIV Golf Dallas event, Koepka let his frustration get the best of him.

On the ninth hole, he hooked his driver left and didn’t hold back with what he thought of his shot.

Koepka took his driver and slammed it into the ground before smashing the tee box, sending it flying.

There were spectators who were pretty close to Koepka’s meltdown, which could have resulted in a serious injury. Luckily, no one was hit by the stray tee box.

At the time of his shot on the ninth hole, he was six over.

He ended up with a bogey on the ninth, 10th and 13th.

Apparently that was the last straw for the five-time Major winner, as he withdrew after the 14th hole due to an “illness.”

Take that as you will.

Luis Carrera was sent in to be Koepka’s replacement on his team, Smash GC.

Koepka himself admitted earlier this year that, after missing the cuts at the Masters and PGA Championship, he hasn’t been at his best.

“From the first weekend in April until about (the beginning of June), you didn’t want to be around me,” Koepka said.

“It drove me nuts. It ate at me. I haven’t been happy. It’s been very irritating.”

It was the first time Koepka had missed the cut at back-to-back majors in his career.

He did finish tied for 12th at the US Open in Oakmont earlier this month.

However, Koepka hasn’t finished in the top 10 in a major since his 2023 PGA Championship victory.

That’s nine straight majors without a top 10 finish. For someone like Koepka, that’s pretty hard to believe.
