we are out here at the beautiful Banberry Golf Course in Eagle Idaho We are going to do an encourse review of the brand new pinolf tablet called the Caddy Oh baby So we’re going to power it on from the bottom Let this thing fire up And now we’re all set up and ready to go We’re going to select Banberry Golf Club We’re gonna play nine holes today and we’re going to be playing from the blue TE’s and we are starting on hole one Pretty easy We don’t have any other golfers today So we’re going to start the round and it’s going to do a fly over of the hole It tells me that the hole is 338 So I’m going to use driver So it just shows you all your basic data You have your uh green area and your trouble here So you got your bunker distance Um it shows your battery life Shows that the GPS is working You have a menu here which I’ll show you what’s in there in a second And then you have all of your distances So you have your front center and back distances hole one what the par is what the handicap is and uh what the t how far away from the tee you are um in yards You can open up this menu okay by swiping up on the bar and it gives you options for scoring And then you can actually open up the advanced options to track your fairways your greens in regulation your amount of putts and your penalty strokes So very very intuitive design And then you can also always go to scorecard whenever you want or switch to the next hole So it’s got a lot of the functions that you’d want but then also doesn’t really have any bloat And since there’s no notifications it’s a really awesome product You’re not going to get bothered by this It’s just going to be strictly the golf and strictly what you’re wanting to use it for Let’s go play the hole Just bites down on that bar You don’t have to worry about it Super awesome locations There’s so many options of where you could put it You could put it inside You could put it up here You could you could put it right here That magnet is super strong and it is very very awesome That’s going to be my go-to spot So that way uh people that I want to give measurements to or want to get measurements I can let them know like hey you know you’re playing playing a scramble or something and you have all your buddies and you say hey I have the pin caddy here just check on it wherever we are and you’ll get the distances to front center back and you can tap it to see where your troubles at And actually that’s a good thing to do too For club selection on this hole what I’m going to do is I’m actually going to swipe away that menu and I’m going to try to tap on a landing spot to see where I want to land So I think it’s going to be somewhere around here That’s 230 That’s 285 right in front of the green And that’s 280 So I probably actually should put my driver away And that’s what I’m gonna do I’m gonna put this away And I’m going to make a club change I want to get to right around 100 yards which is going to be 228 And so that is my 4 iron So I’m going to try to hit my 4 iron You can see there that it tells you the distance that you tap to and then the distance to the green So if I tap again you got 230 there with 100 in So really really intuitive design You can just tap anywhere you want all over the course and it will show you uh where you’re at So then you can come into these menus If you ever get lost or you need to find out the orientation of the hole you can come here You can click the flyover button and it’ll actually just give you another flyover just like it did when you walked up to the hole or drove up to it So that’s really cool You can also get a green view to try to see you know what exact distances to exactly where you’re trying to go Okay And then you can actually switch to a 2D model that’s more customary like some of the apps that are out there that a lot of people are used to So that you can uh you can do like a targeted view So okay I want to be you know 100 in and this is just like any other app that’s out there So I think that kind of takes away from the power of the Caddy And so I probably wouldn’t use that mode but some others might want to be using that mode uh for familiarity uh to the other apps but I’m gonna throw it back into 3D because I really like that view And let’s go ahead and pull out that 4 iron Thanks Caddy I would have just hit driver into the trees or the water probably You’re already saving me strokes All right Right down Broadway Let’s go get it I’ve actually found a really cool spot to put the pin caddy inside the birdie fever cart It’s right here And it’s amazing that the magnet is so strong on the back of the caddy that I can actually use this diagonally inside my cart with its cover So I have like a little TV in the corner if you will It’s like a little sports bar in here I have all my distances and all of my data right there shining right at me and my playing partner if they’re in the cart Beautiful strong magnet And look at this Like if that was going to come off it would come off Kudos to Pin for making this magnet Absolutely super strong I believe that all of Pin products are also that strong So the speakers and the rangefinders as well All right let’s go to our ball [Music] All right And it’s telling me that I have 131 to center So I’m going to go ahead and select my club So cool And I’m going to select my club I’m going to choose my my 48 degree So this one’s about my 128 club I just don’t want to go too crazy long because this guy uh is not exactly friendly on the back of the green So Oh heading left I’m down in the corner off the green to the left Let’s go see what happens So the distance was accurate We are center of the green I just unfortunately made a bad shot So because this guy’s rugged we’re going to give this guy a toss How about that so here we go This is some heavy cabbage here ladies and gentlemen Oh we have a little bit above a better lie that we can actually take a shot at So the pin is in the back We’re about 25 So I’m going to throw this down again It’s really awesome You don’t really have to worry about the durability of the tablet I mean obviously it’s an electronic device and you don’t want to be like smashing the screen on concrete but when you’re on the grass that rugged chassis is going to hold up And you’ll immediately know that when you hold it you’ll have full confidence I promise I’m going to try to make a better chip than I just did It’s better But here we go again Look at this Bananberry playing tough today Unfortunately I’m not going to get a par on this hole but that’s okay I’m not on the green so let’s remember that Uh can’t move it Can’t mark it And this technically does not count as a putt even though I’m going to use my putter I think this guy’s going to break a little bit to the left So we’ll see Oh dang it That was a good one for not being able to really like line it up or anything We almost made that for a zero putt bogey but instead we will have a one putt double bogey six So what I really like about this is that again this is not your phone It’s not your device It’s not the thing that has all the trusted stuff in your life on it It’s the pin caddy and it’s an awesome device Well worth the money We’re not getting notified We’re not being bothered I think it works great as a device that you can come out to the course chuck it around like I said within reason As a technologist there’s people that have tried to make rugged devices and they have failed miserably and this is not that thing Let’s go ahead and score the hole So we’re going to swipe up We can do the easy way or we can do the advanced data So let’s do the advanced data just to show everyone So what we’re going to do is we’re going to hit the little arrow Now we’re going to start off here with the score We’re going to swipe over because that was such a bad hole We’re going to hit a six And was the fairway hit yes it was Did I hit the green in regulation no I didn’t So we’re going to leave that alone And which way did we miss we missed left How many putts did we take one And did I have any penalties none other than my own stupidity We’re going to go to next hole And now it’s going to preview the next hole It gives us our hole number the par the handicap and the yardage Okay So I’m going to put it up And when you’re ready on the way to your next hole you can hit play hole number two and it’ll start the fly over whenever you’re going to be fully focused to watch it So come on in All right So I’m going to hit play hole Notice that it worked through my glove and it’s going to give us a preview while we’re on the way to the next hole I’m learning about the next hole before I even get there This would be great for people who have never played the course And uh boom I’m all up to speed I got all my information It’s showing me where the trouble is And the view that it’s showing me right now is kind of like a zoomed in view This first bunker that you see is 167 200 to the middle of the fairway over there 251 to clear that bunker It looks like I’m gonna pull driver here [Music] Golf’s an easy game Just kidding But that was a pretty good drive All right let’s go get our ball in the middle of the fairway again So now we’re passing the first trouble that it showed us And as we go it’s moving the map right along with us So you can see that last bunker is there which I cleared So this is a big par five And so if I want to move in here I just simply take one finger and just move in Uh but it looks like we have 188 to center So I think we should go for it That’s gonna be about a sixiron again Back in the cart Let’s go chase it again All right Look at the sturdiness of the tablet Just staying true to form there Not jumping anywhere And we’re going over bumps and all kinds of things I’m really liking this This is a cool flow showing me maybe uh 15 yardsish 12 yardsish That was our fourth shot and this is a par five and we are finding ourselves off the green again Hey zero putt five So I’m going to grab my stuff and then we’ll go score this hole So we’ll swipe up hit the arrow we will score a five Did we hit the fairway yes we did Did we hit the green no we didn’t We missed it to the left Did we get to the green in regulation nope How many putts did we have oh god don’t tell me there’s no putts It doesn’t have an option for zero putts So we’ll have to see how that comes out I’m not going to score that at all because that was a zero putt No penalties and we’re going to leave that alone We’re going to go to the scorecard and we’re going to pull this down and see what it told us So it doesn’t show any putts or any penalties So I think it works okay It’s just not going to show any putts So if you’re tracking putts the entire time it’s not going to show anything in the box Maybe pin would want to do a zero there uh in case of what happened happens This is what your scorecard view looks like It’s got your course name all of the whole details for your front nine because that’s what we selected with all your handicaps yardages and pars And then all of your information you can keep it basic view or you can keep it in advanced view Starts giving you percentages over here which is pretty cool Totals you out for your putts totals you out for your penalties and green and regulations There’s must be something wrong because it says zero Oh yeah I didn’t hit any greens So sometimes it’ll give you feedback you don’t want but that’s not Pin’s fault They made a great product here in the Caddy and I can’t wait for you guys to get this in your hands We’re going to go into the settings gear and I’m going to go to exit round Says “Don’t worry all your scores will be saved Are you sure you want to end your round?” Yes I can come here and come back and view how I did There’s my scorecard view with a little extra highlights Shows that I was in stroke play mode nine holes how long it took the duration how many players there were I scored an 11 for two holes So I was two over and I had one par zero birdies one putt We almost had zero for two holes That would have been cool But shows your greens in regulation which is zero and fairways in regulation which are which is 16.7 Uh technically that was 100 I think that what it’s doing is it’s using the factor of the nine holes to factor what how many fairways you hit But we hit two of two and so we definitely had 100% of fairways But because we didn’t finish the nine holes the calculation is working off of nine holes it looks like When you’re ready to play again you can come in here to your profile check out previous rounds check out what the handicap it thinks you’re at is how many rounds you’ve played and what your lowest round is And you can also come in here and go back to your home and check out some courses So this does connect to Wi-Fi So when you get it home or if you have a hotspot on your phone you can connect it to Wi-Fi You can make updates You can download new courses and you can do anything else that the tablet can do on a Wi-Fi Right now there isn’t anything that we really need to do So we just basically are leaving the course at this point So we just power it down It asks us if we want to restart reset or power off We’re going to power it off and it’s going to shut down And that’s that We hope that you love the encourse review of the pinned caddy tablet This thing is so awesome so rugged and we’re going to be using this every single round We hope to see you on the next one Make sure that you use our coupon code if you do decide to purchase this item Be sure to check out the other awesome products that use the same magnet technology such as their speakers and their rangefinders They’re really really awesome and our coupon code will work for those too We’ll see you on the next one

$450 for a tablet that is bulky and cartoonish features? Most courses that are worth playing have GPS carts anyway. Just another gimmicky thing for the golfers that can't break 80.
What kind of a psycho peels the protective cover off immediately?
Super great idea, needs to be reformed and updated software. idk if its worth the $450
