today I’m playing on one of the highest rated courses in North Carolina welcome to Rolling Pines woo it’s Father’s Day so we’re doing a round with the family but Amy’s about to shred i’m a little nervous no first throw of the day oh too much hiser too much hiser that’s okay that’s out there two off one two off one for we get four off the first as many as you want unlimited mulligan there it is yeah their breath can be in the same spot i bet you’ll work my teeth are chattering you’re cold it’s 74° it’s perfect this course is iconic it’s ranked 77th in the entire world and number five in North Carolina and number one in my heart okay hopefully I can just put it close i’m like actually shivering i’m not even kidding oh it’s in oh my gosh sit sit sit she’s looking good basket is right there for hole two amy blind shot coming up oh nice shot Terry oh my gosh you put it to 5T amy let’s go all right everybody this is the famous Doug Terry i don’t know about famous since it’s Father’s Day you get to set Amy’s goal for today’s round what do you think she can shoot out here you can be very generous with this number amy is very capable at plus two but I think it should be better it could be zero but plus two i like that what do you think Amy what do you think i was hoping it was going to be like a plus six to give me some cushion i haven’t played this course in a long time to be fair you are parked for birdie right now you got to make the putt but plus two it is plus two it is for the book i’m for the book for the book first putt of the day let’s go i almost missed it birdie’s in though two over here she comes oh it’s looking good amy that Oh it could go in could go in could go in oh my gosh she almost aced father’s Day i’ll do it for you Dad don’t worry that was Oh my god that would be the greatest gift ever right there i thought that was going in and I was like “Wait it actually could do it.” Oh that’s so cool i knew it oh rushed it i didn’t rush it i stood there for 30 minutes there you go good clean up good clean up i’m upset with myself she’s safe she’s safe that’s a easy up and down right now i can’t believe it’s a part three there you go that’s a putt that’s a putt a That’s okay [Music] get through she’s through she’ll have an up and down forehand or backhand um I don’t think I can get a forehand there miss it ah almost good effort that’s it yeah the iconic tunnel hole oh get through get through get through all right it’s out it’s out [Music] nice and easy nice Amy another blind shot coming up for Amy she said “Daddy.” Yep [Music] yeah that’s a putt um yesterday I played lights out i’ve made all my 10footers today it’s not happening yet i know what my mistake is and I’m going to fix it so I can birdie this course is so pretty though here’s a look at it what oh almost a huge putt speed putt this is so wet [Music] oh my Jesus oh no so far in the It’ll be an approach all right Christian fixed my form i was rounding i’m embarrassed to say it but I’m going to kill it now now with putting the secret to it is to just put it in the basket now I’m going to make a move watch me like legit hit this one right in front of us oh i left a big watch you not hit that and absolutely park it [Applause] [Music] yes in is in in is in i was about to be mad at myself that I missed i can’t believe that it was It was such a perfect putt it couldn’t miss it’s so quiet it’s 290 but it’s uphill so it plays as like a 600T hole yeah she’s going to park it pretty much oh jeez that’s going to be roll up sit sit that might be okay that might be That’s fine that’s fine amy from downtown great shot that’ll work that’ll work she’s going to have to put now oh she committed she committed i’m locked in this is my mom quick interview mom how do you think Amy’s playing today uh no comment i’ve been the nicest to you today Ann mom’s making golly she’s out for blood today i at least get a book after this if you hit plus two today we’re out in Timbukt there’s no bookstores around here they got Barnes & Noles in Wilsboro and then oh she burned it that’s fine that’s fine i think it’s that Amy from downtown oh it’s a great bid that’s great that’s great this is why we love the Blue Ridge Mountains look how beautiful it is the fog is so pretty yeah look how beautiful the the bathrooms are the fog is really pretty and then look at look this way at the trees it’s gorgeous it’s so pretty i’m getting good at this i told you i told you you know if you can make those putts I think you can get a book i think so too the deer is literally eating by the basket right now it’s probably [Music] Yeah we’re going down yonder to Wickels Hill after this wickels Hill wickles Hill that’s where our general store is you hit Wickles Hill oh jeez i hate this course uh-oh uh-oh this is so hard yes great bid brother great bid hey quick fist bump for motivation now you got to actually mean it there you go that was great that was a great pull skip skip skip skip skip look at that look at that see you later oh she juiced it she’s too strong she jacked yes oh so close just another iconic hole out here at Rolling Ponds you ready i’m feeling a Father’s Day ace this one’s for my dad if you Okay we got to set this rule too if you ace string around you just automatically get a book automatically get a $100 at Barnes & Noble and a book yeah $100 book oil oh too much hiser is it down there though it’s down there it’s down there one might judge me but I’m going to just try to light it up cuz it’s scary sit nice oh my god almost disaster what straight up that I’m going to make the putt that’ll work that’ll work for the bird bang oh my god bang i thought you had that too the wind the wind picked up a little bit it’s so windy out here doug with a huge putt there it is there it is whiskey ladies and gentlemen the best hole in the course basket is all the way over there par four 520 ft this hole is iconic amy is ready to unload right now about to look what are you plus two right now i don’t know if I’m plus one or plus two i think you’re you’re plus two cuz you haven’t birdied since the first one right yeah don’t rub it in my face all right we think Amy’s plus two right now flip i think this is smash if it gets under [Music] a That’s still great fairway just like I drew it up center fairway all right Amy second shot on the par4 i’m running up on a hill so when I mess up the angle that’s why the slip i slipped so much that’s fine though oh my goodness did you catch that slip [Music] that’s great Amy oh my gosh almost made that i put my life and soul into that up shot amy checking i’m plus two this course is really hard and I feel like I could be a lot lower of score if I could convert on birdie putts i’m having a lot of fun i’m plus two so the book is in play and at the beginning of the day I thought plus two was impossible but I’ve handled myself pretty well playing for par at this point i think she can get it yes Amy yes Amy nice aim yes we can we can putt at it it’s a great shot great i was really scared of like doing bad and having to have a comebacker so I didn’t really Yeah she’s switching up and you already know my boy Josh Allen we should do Cam no on hole one why are we not doing that this is an iconic Amy hole right here [Music] get lucky get lucky it did that was so bad it’s a putt i did really bad it’s a putt oh sit oh my god sit my dad almost made it doug just chained out i think so it went straight through it i always choke i like knew it i thought I could birdie that last one cuz I buried it before and then go into this with cushion and I fudged it and I’m really scared doug every single video we’ve set the line perfectly for Amy to come down to the last hole so good job good job it’s theoretically right there it’s right there this one’s for the football player whose number is 18 shout out to you oh Amy get through okay either way you are at two that’s working i just have to be able to lay up for four got to lay up let’s check the heart rate 136 i’m about to pee my pants this video there’s a porta putty right there it’s like it’s so doable all right Amy i literally just want to go home already before you put what’s your game plan here if you put No I’m just trying to lay it up i’m aiming at the bottom right now so it doesn’t flat yeah yeah sit place it i think that’s good i think that’s good she hit the pole oh my god no i get so nervous at that distance all the pressure in the world on a little 5-footer for the book ladies and gentlemen big head i’m literally so scared you can do it you can do it you can do it take a deep breath slow my heart is literally pounding 30 seconds i want this book so bad okay big Ed no oh my god what happened there he’s making farting noises do you want redo fart noise you can redo it if If it’s a farting noise on your back you can redo it all right here we go here we go get out of the house no way everybody everybody yeah oh no all right that’s it amy did not make the challenge all right I ended that round a little bit sad because I clearly did not get the book but all of these challenges have made me start practice putting i feel like I’m playing way above what I think I’m going to play each round which makes me excited i am a little bit bummed that I’m like so close but then I choke at the last minute on all of these but I know I’m getting better and I know one of these days I’m going to get the book and it’s going to feel really really good and I’m also getting a lot of book recommendations and questions about books so that’s really fun to get to talk about books on the comment section or in the comment section thank you guys so much for following along with the journey i can tell that
