Broke 100 for the first time yesterday

I quadrupled a super easy par 3 I usually birdie or par. Great way to start the day.

I clearly struggled on ALL the par 3's.

    Congrats big accomplishment, it’s actually not easy breaking 100 legitimately for the majority of amateurs. Playing the ball as it lies is tough and taking penalties etc.

    Nice! One thing I do for Par 3s is to practice hitting some 8 9 irons and wedges off the tee at the range (if you are teeing them up).

    I was constantly hitting bad shots with those clubs off the tee but felt good about them in the fairway or rough. Then I realized it’s probably because I never practice hitting those specific tee shots!

    I still suck but I’m more confident. Congrats on 99

    This is great.

    Now you know penalty strokes are vastly inflating your score. See where you can be less aggressive and more intentional and I bet you break 90 before you know it.

    Just looking at the card I see 10 penalty strokes. So, really, you probably struck the ball closer to 85-90 times and judging by the 7s and 8s, I am assuming you can bring those down to the bogey with the occasional double.

    You’ll be breaking 90 very soon.

    My goal is to break 100 by the end of this season. I am unsure if I will get it done or not, my short game is what kills me.

    This is my goal as well, I’m hoping to break 100 by the end of the year. I got close twice last year 102 & 103.

    Cool, now you get to reach for breaking 90, then 80, then scratch. Then getting on the tour. Then winning a major. Then a grand slam. Then a Tiger slam. And then you die.
