President Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump played brilliant golf in stretches, but struggled at times, in finishing tied for 21st out of 32 competitors this week at the 41st Nicklaus Junior Championship in Tequesta, Florida.
Trump finished 17-over for the two-day tournament at Tequesta Country Club. After struggling with an 86 during the first round on Monday, Trump played much better on Tuesday, shooting a 74.
Trump’s best stretch came on the front nine of the final round, which she played at 1-under, the best among all girls in the final round.
The 18-year-old Trump is committed to The University of Miami for golf.
The performance follows a strong showing earlier in the month, where she secured second place at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Major Championship. It marks a significant turnaround from her last-place finish at the Sage Valley Junior Invitational in March.
