Ya'll need this. Schultz lived in an area near my place in California so they have these on some of the courses around there. This art is amazing.

Always be ready to hit your shot if you can safely stand by the ball.

The amount of newbies I see just staring at the person hitting, and then when it’s their turn, then they get their distance, figure out which club, does it practice swings and line up, etc.

I think for a lot of new players, they’re so concerned about etiquette that they end up being slower because of that.

Recprd scores on the next tee? Ill forget by then.

This plus ready golf and we’re cookin.

All valid except lowest score on preceding hole. We only give honors for birdies or lower. It should still be ready golf on the tee for par & above.

  5. “Watch your ball until it stops rolling…”

The amount of times I’ve seen the ball launch offline of the fairway and looked away and cursed instead of keeping track of the ball!

Do people actually get upset if you start writing your score down while they putt?

Sand fillthe holes, replacing divots doesn’t help with regrowth. And we play ready golf here, whoever is ready first on the tee just hit.

You just unlocked a deep childhood memory by posting this. I got whiplash back to me being like 3 reading this. im 30. Holy crap

  9. Most courses I play at says to keep the rakes IN the bunker. Wonder why that is.

Great post. When I see post of people who are playing for the first time, these are the things they should know.

I completely forgot about this when I was a kid

  12. Would there be a way to get any of these shipped up to Canada? Would love to get 1 or some for my girlfriend who’s just getting in to golf and loves snoopy

Love it, but it’s missing the most important one: “Remember that this is a game. Don’t take yourself so seriously and have fun. Leave your attitude at home.”

Shultz grew up in St Paul and learned to play golf at a local course, which now has a Bunker complex shaped like Snoopy

I don’t love the “don’t talk too much” tip. Dont talk when others are hitting, but other than that, talk as much as you want, it’s more fun
