If you watch this putt closely, you can see that it rolled on to something that slightly elevated it and quickly changed the ball’s path.

I know there is left to right break on this putt but that did not look like just break. It looked like he may have hit a pebble or something that quickly took the ball off line and costed him big time.

Reminder to all us out here that if we are playing for real, take your time reading the putt and also take your time cleaning up your putting line and making sure there isnt any bullshit on your intended line that can send your ball off line.

I think he was still a little straight on it

That’s golf. Completely random series of events even for elite players that hit the right shot.

Did Bradley brush away anything after that putt? Or did he just aim more left and avoided that?

  4. The way it popped makes me think it was the edge of a footprint.

There were plenty of mistakes leading up to this putt…

  6. GolfGodsAreReal

If I was to have a putt for millions of dollars I would go over every inch of that pathway to the hole

Thanks for making pace of play worse OP

Please don’t tell people in this sub to clean their line, we are going to have endless posts of 6 hour rounds now

Many things can be true. Maybe it was a mark on the ground. But it’s know as the last group and last golfers that at that point in time, the most amount of people to walk on the green will have been at that point. To me it also looks like he didn’t hit the putt straight or it was off alignment. Given the break, he was already missing the hole when he hit the ball regardless of that bump.

  10. I worked with a guy who would mark his ball and clean the ball in his mouth. And I know some of you nasties are out there too

Im surprised his caddy didn’t call him off and give him the sand wedge.
    He was on a roll.

Cleaning the line should only be a thing for scratch golfers. Any of us plebs should not be doing this.

Way she goes. Some days she goes, some days she doesn’t.

Big bump. Don’t think it’s the difference between make and miss though. Looked like it was headed for a lip and then it bumps and doesn’t even touch the hole

It’s a reminder that greens are an imperfect surface, this is normal and it’s golf.

Ball hit a bump that made it take another line

If a tour pro can’t see it, an hd cameras can’t see it, we ain’t got a hope.

This post is the kinda shite that makes 28 handicapp folks take 5 hours due to aim pointing 10” putts.

I didn’t want to.. but I bet Bradley at 4/1 yesterday because I could see Fairway Jesus choking it away. Sure enough..

Has anyone shown Tommy yet? What did this poor man do to anger the golf gods so?

  20. mackharp0818

How do you remove something you can’t see?

  21. This needs a big caveat.

Make sure to take your time reading your putt and cleaning the line, when and ONLY when you have a putt to win $3,600,000.

This makes me feel better about my game. (I have a 130 handicap)

  23. Potential-Ad5470

Yeah no, this doesn’t matter for 93% of the golfing population

  24. jack3moto

I only golf as a solo. The amount of missed putts within 2-3 feet prove the complete opposite. 90% of golfers aren’t good enough to worry about their putting line because most of golfers can’t consistently make gimme putts as it is… just hit the ball and move on, it’s not complicated.

  25. Electronic-Cry714

But it wasn’t on his line. He missed his line to the right.
