Well, we welcome you back to Chicago. It is game two of our double header, lovely weather. The Cardinals bats warming up too chance for a three game sweep and to head home with win number 40. As we take a look at mike Vassal. Boy, this guy has been good eighth round pick out of Virginia. A 199 a for Chicago. The next step for Will Venables team is how do they start winning some of those tight games that they were in until they lost late in game one of this double header off a guy that had four hits in game one. What a game and a strikeout to start this ballgame. Mike’s got a good running fastball. Here’s an example of it. You see this ball just explode out of his hands. You’re talking about a good 6 to 8 inches a run because that’s a good hitter in Donovan that strikes out. Here’s Contreras. We had a game tying home run knocked in three earlier today. He’s got the good stuff working two up, two strikeouts and this 196 on the outside corner too close to take a little tardy on that swing. I’m not thinking he’s seeing the ball real well. Right now, two up, two down Burleson next little chopper is going through for a two out single. This ball is a funny game. Burleson had never picked up a hit against the White Sox in his career in three games here. He’s got six of them. Nolan Arenado. There’s the energy we need to start game two of this double header. Well, it’s always a treat to see this young man throw a pitch in the major leagues. Michael mcgray has been awesome. Two games one start. The last one came against the Dodgers. It didn’t start well but it sure finished great for Michael pitched well enough to give the Cardinals a chance. Leave my 23 years old plays college ball at San Diego pours in that sinker to get his first strikeout of the day there of my be intens playing left field in the second game of the double header and he is ready to rake a single with one out here in the first innings. Miguel Vargas pop up right side. Donovan shielding his eyes. Stutter steps at second and squeezes it two out switch hitter batting from the left side. She is high and outside again. That is ball four. So all the white Sox have runners at 1st and 2nd for the dines in the air to left center , but that’s a can of corn for Victor. He’s got it and mcreavy has a scoreless first inning in game two, started the day with a 199 leading all major league rookies in, er, a Nolan Gorman. The batter, the DH and fastball here it is. Can you hit it? No goldman cannot very lively, although that one, that was his four seamer. So it’s not going to move as much as the two seamer two retired and now it’s no steps on the bag himself 123 2nd inning for Mike Vassal, Brian. No leads things off of the White Sox here in the bottom of the second inning. Not in the air to left field going back and it is gone. Ryan. No, his first home run. It gives the White Sox a one nothing lead here in the second inning. Pretty good way for your first sox hit opposite field no less Sox on top of one, they threw up and in on Contre in the first game that was ball four and he’s aboard with a hit by pitch and Alec Burleson next that’s driven a long way toward that. Benintendi on the fire. He’s gone opposite field three run. That guy is scorching hot all of a sudden and the Cardinals have a two run lead seven of them on the season. They hit Contreras Burson made him pay and mcreavy now leads by two and it’s Arenado at the plate struck out his first time to one out of here. That’s number 3, 150. Somebody make a deal with that fan. Nolan is going to want that souvenir back to back Homers and the Cardinals lead 4 to 1. Cardinals fans are enjoying the series. They’ve won the first two games lead game 34 to 1 and we start with Nolan Gorman as that one’s cracked toward the gap in left center that’s going to get down for a base hit Gorman using the big part of the field and he’ll stand at second with a leadoff double. There’s a base hit to right field. Gorman makes it to third base on the base hit by the other way. So he too took the ball the other way. That may be the best approach. May 1st and third. Nobody out for the Cardinals. So now Vassil is on the hot seat facing jose. There’s a good fastball. Vasil gets the strikeout. Now will face Scott that ball 41 at that or appearance if you will for Victor scott from two to ball four and the Cardinals have them loaded for Donovan one out, two swing and a miss strike three, a new career high. Six strikeouts for mike Vassal. Well, Contreras was hit by a pitch last time up. You know, he’d like to exact some revenge shot to second and off the second baseman. One run will score. Here comes Paz he’s going to score. Contreras have it himself a great day at the plate. Curveball, it’s down but it stays in the middle of the plate and wilson stays right through it to drive in another pair. It’s the end of the line for Mike fell. He surrenders six to the Cardinals. Edgar Caro is the catcher switching catcher who walked his first plate appearance facing Michael mcreavy for the second time and swing has struck out his third man. He set down seven straight after the homer as that one is to center and two out right. No to bats. And that’s punch out number four. Yes, Chris Tuno is fired up. His Redbirds are trying to sweep away the Sox. The leadoff batter for the white Sox is former giant Austin Slater Slater with a base hit out in the right center single to open the fifth. Here’s Rojas rifle toward right , but Alec Burleson is right there. He’s got that and there’s out number one and he’s handling it quite well. Thank you. Got away with a high changeup and Taylor swung through that five strikeouts for Michael mcgreevy strike out and a ground out to third shallow right and Burleson is going to grab that and mcgreevy has qualified for the win here in Chicago. He looks good. So do the Cardinals trying to sweep away the South siders lefty john King has the bottom of the seventh. It’s going to be a tough play and no play for Mr King man on nobody out. Noah at the back and a swing and a miss no dice for Noah. He’s retired one out. So austin Slater will hopefully oblige and it to a double play here. This one is laced into center field, so will take the turn. He goes first to third and now the white Sox threatening with one out in the seventh is coming up to pitch. We see the right hander coming out of the, that’s going to be a very short by King Kyle. He’s going to come up and clean up two on one out here in the home slider is going to be for Michael, a Taylor runners at the corners and drive to right field that will bring in Sosa makes it a 6 to 2 ball game here in the seventh inning first and second for mike drop. That run will be charged to King as so scored and that one not called, it is ball four, which means tying run will come to the plate. Well, this is a big spot, bases loaded with two outs here in the seventh inning swing and a drive that’s a grand slam. This game is tied first pitch attacking Tauchman. Now Benintendi and they got fastballs and they did not miss them. Andrew Benintendi with a game tire. He clears them all. We’re back to even 66, but that was Jojo’s turn, Jojo Romero, hopefully a very, very quick, efficient one and the Cardinals offense can do their thing inside ball four there’s the patience, there’s the walk and there is the winning run and now here’s chase. Myr shows Paul pulls it away and now the winning run is in scoring position and has ruled a pass ball on Pages bouncer up the middle Barrero gets to make the play at first as the winning run advances to third with one out. Now we’ll see how close arena is going to play at third because this is the ideal situation with Capra, the third arena’s coming home and there’s the tag little chopper to third. Arena came home to looked like he pulled up a bit as he got close to home plate. That was an easy tag out for the Cardinals in the second out of the inning takes off that pitch gets away from and once again, a runner in scoring position here this night for the Sox on me, couldn’t that? Now, a hit wins the game pitch, ground ball to short Barros got it and a clean throw to first gets the cards out of trouble. It’s never easy, but it sure is fun. Romero works around some traffic in the ninth inning and extra innings are coming way in a 66 game two. D. Alvia is going to come on and pitch for the White Sox. Our game moves to the 10th inning. Redbirds will pinch run Jordan walker for him and it will be Alec Burleson waving at it three straight changeups and Alvi the strikeout. Here’s a home run number 350 in his career came in the third inning, Nolan also 1/5 inning single little squier through the whole right side walker around third. They’re going to wave him. Here comes the throw, it’s cut off to second and he’s out arena with his third hit and second RB , I tried to go first to second. He’s thrown out walker scores to put the Cardinals in front and new digs in swing and the Cardinals scored in the second innings for the visiting team. A large new bar homer, that’s his ninth of the season and a huge insurance run. And now the focus is on Andre Granillo who will never forget this day in Chicago and all Granillo did was pick up the victory. He got his first major league win in game one of this double header. Now he’s got an opportunity to get a save in the same day, but that’s a pretty impressive feet. He’s got a chance to change in the air to right center field. Jordan walker moves over. He calls for it. He’s now in right, takes the catch and gets it in and no advancement either of the runner at second base and now the Cardinals have to contend with Leine Sousa popped him up. Walker Drifts back now in a step or 22 soft fly ball outs and the Cardinals are an out away from a sweep. Ryan. No the final hope for Chicago. He homered his first time up the 3 to 2 pitch inside ball four and the sox not done yet. No is on first base representing the tying run austin Slater two for four. He does it. The card have swept the white Sox. What a day for Andre 86? Is your final score in extras? As Granillo picks up his first big league save, Granillo not only with a win today for his first big league win, but also his first big league save.

Poverty city Chicago, why is a baseball team there
Brilliant!!! Go Cards!!!
Me: the white Sox are sooooo bad….
Audience: how bad are they????…
Me: they so bad because they couldn't focus on the……blank
(Match game theme)
Umpires did their damndest to lose this one for St. Louis. Too bad for them.
heartbreak. eight game losing streak for my sox
Cards did all they could to give away game 2, but the Sox are still woeful.
When you build a losing culture you don't know what winning is about anymore.
Noooooot 達治 ( ´∀`)b Nice H.R!
Am I the only one that thinks that the White Sox are going to end up with the worst record in MLB for the second year in a row?
That umpire did not have command of the left side of the plate. Two potentially game-changing mistakes. Cards need to perform in these next two series. Make or break time.
Hmm
somehow this is the second game the White Sox have lost this year by Mike Tauchman hurting himself trying to run home in the 9th inning
White Sox really can't catch a break
Mcgreevy can cure aids and cancer, solve world hunger and negotiate for a peaceful Middle East and the cards would still shelf him. Kid is a stud and needs to be played like one
Let's go White Sox!
Great let’s go Cardinals
Besbol🇺🇲⚾️
The St.Louis Cardinals are 40-35🔴⚪️🟡
BAD when the umpires take over the game!!!😮😢
Nolan Arenado 350 home runs
Ya cards white Sox’s go nowhere lol
Vinny Capra is an automatic out. Why is he still on the roster? Can't even sac bunt.
cards catcher pages almost single handedly gave the game away with passed balls and at dropped strike that was called a ball before the grand slam (catchers watching know he took it right off the thumb and was hurtingggggg)
