BEST GOLF COURSES IN BUFFALO/WNY (MUST WATCH)
hello everyone in this video I will be showcasing some of the best golf courses in the Western New York and Buffalo area since the kova 19 pandemic golf has grown so much around the world and since many other activities were shut down and many people were not able to participate in Hobbies indoors they had to find other things to do outside just to pass the time many people took up hiking and other outdoor activities while thousands of others picked up Golf and have continued to play until this day the Buffalo and Western New York area has seen the same growth in golf as the rest of the world and has numerous courses that anyone can play from beginner skill levels to more experienced in this video I will highlight some of the top golf courses around Buffalo that anyone can play I’m going to break down the best golf courses to play in the Western New York and Buffalo area into three sections first the beginners the second two will be golfers that play maybe a few more times a year and the last will be for experienced golfers that golf regularly the goal of this video is to be inclusive of everyone no matter your experience and will hopefully provide some ideas for your next golf outing the first course on the list of best golf courses in the Western New York and Buffalo area is mostly for beginner golfers and this Delaware Park Golf Course this course is located within Delaware Park within the City of Buffalo the course was built in 1930 and is 18 holes with a power of 68. this course is perfect for beginner golfers of all ages due to it only being about 5 400 yards this course offers cheap rates of only 17 on weekdays and twenty dollars on weekends to play 18 holes there is no better introduction to golf than playing in the historic Olmsted Park system and our beautiful City of Buffalo the next two golf courses are for players that are a little bit more experienced in golf and play more than a few times in the summer and offer a little more a little more of a challenge another one of the best golf courses in Buffalo and the Western New York area is byrn Cliff Golf Resort located in berriesburg while it is 35 minutes from the heart of Buffalo this course is certainly worth it here you could play the 18 hole par 72 course of 6672 yards ranging from 28 dollars to fifty four dollars depending on the day and time the views with hills trees and even the sets of windmills make this course one of the most beautiful in Western New York and should be a course played by any golfer in Buffalo the third course on the list is Glenn Oak which is located in East Amherst this course offers a more challenging setup as it is a par 72 that totals 7 310 yards while playing from the furthest tees this course has numerous obstacles that golfers need to avoid from sand traps to numerous ponds located throughout the course Glen Oaks offers some of the best Fairways and is one of the top courses in Western New York in terms of their course conditions so I highly recommend this one now moving on to courses for more experienced golfers in Buffalo the fourth course covered in this video is The Links at Ivy Ridge located in Akron New York I first played this course two years ago and it has quickly became my favorite in the Western New York area from the clubhouse to the course conditions and layout this course has everything to offer for more experienced golfers anyone can play this beautiful course for just forty dollars during the summer and I strongly recommend taking advantage of their lowered rate during the fall the final golf course on this list is Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course located in Lewiston while it is the most expensive to play 18 holes into in comparison to the other courses on this list at 58 during weekdays this course brings the whole package for experienced golfers and is probably the most challenging out of all of them I listed today when I played here the course conditions have been perfect every time and has some of the most detailed holes in public golfing in Buffalo Hickory Stick has about everything a golfer could want in a course and it’s right in our backyards so that brings our list to a conclusion and I believe it encapsulates golfers of all levels obviously there is room for debate on my choices as these five don’t relate to even my top five courses in the Buffalo and Western New York area I think Harvest Hill and Diamond Hawk deserve some mention as well as those are one of my favorites but I think this list covers everybody if anyone else has recommendations for some of their favorite courses leave them Below in the comments thank you

Thanks for sharing your insights on the top golf courses! It's great to learn about a variety of different courses in the area. As a beginner golfer, Delaware Park may be a good start for me. Great video!
I enjoyed getting to hear about all of the different courses around Western New York. I have recently started golfing more and more over the summer, so I am excited to try some of these new courses.
golfing is great, nothing like ripping the links with the boys!
As a huge golf fan, this is a great video that I will remember once all the golf courses open. Great post!
Hi Ian! Thank you so much for this video. I never golfed before – let alone know which courses in the Buffalo area are the best to do it – so I really appreciate the tips and advice your provided! I look forward to more of these videos.
Great list, Ian. I have been itching to play Byrncliff for years now. I simply have to make it a priority this summer; I hear nothing but good things. I love that more and more virtual golf simulators are popping up in WNY for us to get our fix during the winter months, too!
Great video Ian, I personally love golf myself and have bveen playing at the Springville country club for years. Great course
The best public golf course in WNY is far and away Sheridan Park GC in the Town of Tonawanda. Par 71, difficult especially the back 9 which has 8 holes with water, several going over water on multiple shots.
Hi Ian, 4 of us coming from Toronto, I'm scratch, other guys around 10, we love great courses, never played in Buffalo; would you say diamond Hawk is comparable to Ivy Ridge in Layout, conditions, and excitement? Love courses that have interesting layouts. Thanks, David
