[Music] the new Warrior Blue Core from Diadem is their first paddle to include a foam core paddles having foam cores is a new technology it’s exciting a few brands have tried it we first saw this technology from CRBN with the true foam paddles and then from Selkerk with the 008s and now Dietm will have a foam core paddle so Daidm is going to have three shapes to choose from the max standard and pro and we are familiar with these shapes we refer to them as standard hybrid and elongated and they’re the exact same dimensions so the elongated or pro shape is going to be the longest and thinnest in the lineup this is going to have the most leverage and the most power compared to the max which is going to be the shortest and widest and the most control oriented of the lineup from there once you’ve selected your shape you have the three thicknesses to choose from the 14 16 and 19 and as we know that 19 mm thickness is going to be the most control oriented it’s going to have the biggest sweet spot compared to the 14 mm which is going to be the most power oriented it’s going to have the most pop so within the shape and thickness options at your disposal all of them will have a foam core the 14 and 16 mm are going to have a full foam core compare that to the 19 mm paddle which is going to have a layer of honeycomb sandwiched between two foam layers dade sent us a cutout of the actual core that is used in these paddles that blue core as they call it and immediately you notice this is a very lightweight material so Dadem claims this is a very low density foam and that’s a little different than the Selkerk or CRBN which were a little bit more high density foam so low density foam what that’s going to give you is a little bit more dwell time hopefully a little bit more power but no downgrade in the control so those foam cores have a very expanded sweet spot compared to a honeycomb core so most of the benefits are going to be on the tail end the amount of durability they offer there’s no more core crush with a foam core and on the front end you’ll just notice a slight increase in control a expanded sweet spot and with this low density foam a little bit more sponginess dwell time and a little bit more pop as a result so Dadem claims that this core is very durable in sending us the cutout to check for ourselves again very lightweight in the hand but then when you try to apply pressure or break it it won’t even bend and I might not be the strongest guy in the office to try this out but let’s take a walk around see if anyone else has better luck you tell them if you can break this in half I’ll give you 100 bucks 100 bucks yeah just with your hands give up going to have to all right hey Spencer if you can break this in half I’ll give you 100 bucks try harder all right [Music] you break this in half i do 100 bucks yeah try to break it yeah [Music] so it seems like the Blue Core foam passes the strength test on our end if you want to try for yourself check us out at pickleballwarearehouse.com [Music]
