In the video Rick Shiels gets an on course, course management lesson from Scott Fawcett.

Scott Fawcett, a former Texas A&M collegiate golfer, knew all too well the sting of unfulfilled potential. Despite making it to the 1999 US Open and playing on the Web.com and Hooters Tours, Scott’s professional golf career never quite reached the heights he had envisioned.

But it was in the crucible of that frustration that a spark was ignited. Determined to find the missing piece, Scott embarked on a journey to devise a new strategy that would catapult his game to the next level.

In the face of adversity, Scott Fawcett refused to accept defeat. Instead, he turned his disappointment into an unyielding drive to revolutionize the world of golf. And from that drive, a groundbreaking system was born, changing the game for golfers everywhere.

Rick plays some of his best golfer ever in this video and it goes to show how important golf course management really is!

in this video I play some of the best golf I have ever played on camera that is a fact now I spent a little bit of time with Scott Forset who is an oncourse management expert and he helped me and he guided me and he gave me some top tips to help me play some of my best golf I have ever played and there’s lots of golden nuggets for you guys to learn from in this video all right Scott you are a golf course management expert appreciate that and I want you to help me today i would love to how many times do I walk off a golf course and I kick myself over silly little mistakes and it drives me insane i’m sure most people watching think the same i know your philosophy is to eliminate those mistakes scott’s also gonna help us hit better tea shots on the very first hole is that all right absolutely let’s get Let’s go and get it okay so I’m in a pressure situation i’m nervous this first tee what do I do to kind of control these emotions what we really need to be doing honestly is slowing down in practice to where you’re really going especially with a driver like I believe you need to get behind every shot because ball position setup everything is so important with this club so you’ve got the same path just by having the ball in the same place so really it starts over there slowing down with your driver practice and then when you get out here you want to be looking for stray thoughts you never think don’t go right or don’t go left over there now you come over here you see trees on the right you’re like well don’t go right that’s that’s why we chose the target we did it takes that into consideration so it’s all about finding those stray thoughts eliminating them and just committing to what you’re doing i won’t have you hit driver on a hole that it doesn’t make sense on so that should be irrelevant what’s around okay so pick a pick a small starting point and commit to that line right 100% okay commitment is the key to golf i mean it really is he was committed i mean it really I mean again full commitment is is just the key i need to commit more pick a shot pick a line commit that was nice hate these shots oh hold on so let’s There’s Is that a good way to walk into it i mean seriously i mean again like that’s that’s that’s where you accidentally do it on this shot i hate this shot as you’re walking into it and then that’s how you stab it long or something and make bogey here okay come on let’s let’s pick something small and commit to it so what are we trying to do here it’s 45 yards so we’re trying to land at 40 which is probably just over that ridge obviously we’re just going right at it now just commit to it okay pick a landing spot tight punchy swing i love this shot i love this shot i mean I’m telling you commitment is everything in this game i love this shot i need That’s what I need to think of it more at a minimum I hate this shot okay luckily for me this is the part of game I don’t worry about too much and I suppose this is where my psyche totally changes Scott because now you feel good and now I’m the best putter on the planet nice see well that’s literally probably not accurate but I like the confidence it is i am the best putter on the planet i’m the best putter on the planet all right so we changed your club off the tea we got you committed on the second shot and apparently you can take care of putting do you want a full-time job on the bag Scott that was a good start that was a good start i mean I really am just a broken record it’s not no three putts it’s not too many three putts it’s not no bogeies inside 150 it’s not too many once you stop getting your expectations start getting your expectations in line it’s just not that hard to not shoot the higher end of your range okay right you can help me on this one then how do you judge wind um I look at water clouds throw a bit of grass up flags trees but I’m saying that how do you actually say how much it’s going to cost you oh I have no idea okay so use soft medium or hard okay so this is what do you guess this is 15 kind of like a medium wind but I’m saying so it’s 15 miles an hour we’re 183 if you turn the percentage the the miles hour into a percentage it’s pretty accurate so 10% of 185 is 18 add five more 27 this shot’s playing close to 210 that’s probably not enough club i’ll put my I’ll put my six away then so what you’re saying the wind speed converted you take the miles per hour of the wind into the wind you use it as a percentage downwind downwind you take about half of it wow so here we are 185 into about a 15 mph wind this thing’s playing I mean every bit of 205 okay so I’ve got five iron and where where would you aim on this right at it a little bit skinny it’ll work it’ll work all right back to expectation management crosswind is really more if you’re fading it with a wind off the right it’s going to eat it up and if you’re if you’re riding the wind it’s going to help it a little bit but not as much as you would think um mainly because if it’s right if it’s off the right to left you play draw like it’s actually starting off kind of into the wind and then falling with it but really one of finding the winds that are straight in straight down and quartering width and the quartering width is usually you take about 25% of the number and in two is probably about half the number you’ll get a feel for that too though but I mean just when I’m walking out there I could tell that looked like a sixiron and I’m just like yeah six there’s no chance that’s the club you have to I mean I understand you hit that a little thin but it also then came off a little low and got through the wind better yeah pretty nice spot i mean that’s practically a gimme [Laughter] you know what’s sad is as I was watching you get ready i was sad when you switched to the claw because when you say you’re yippy if you actually chip with a putting grip like if you if you putt that way and you switch to it for short chip shots i thought about chipping with the claw well I mean again I would tell you to try do you still chip do you interlock or overlap i currently separate my hands i’m saying just in your normal golf game interlock interlock and so I would tell you to try your putting grip before you go to the claw just try it i mean again I’m not saying it’ll work so much about what I try to teach is just you can already start running the iteration let’s say you make this oh my god I’m two under through two like maybe I could get it this is like you have become oblivious to where you stand to par totally irrelevant information one of the main separators of the best players approach players on the PGA Tour versus not is getting the ball past the pin in regulation so most guys even on tour overestimate how far they hit each club and then amateurs is just insane there’s no way sixiron was the club for you here but even if you hit it perfectly we would want this shot pattern centered past the hole here rather than short of this hole okay up the hill left to right kind of jumped on me a little bit little bounce early okay we’ll take a a par 190 yard par three into wind so I don’t want you ever coming onto a hole and thinking how can I not screw this up but at the end of the day where’s the only place it looks like we can obviously not go on this hole is left you can’t go left so we’re going to choose a target that takes that into consideration and to me just right in the middle of that big tree that’s going to be far enough right you’ve got enough distance to get it around there you’re not going to get it to that tree so wind is off the left everything was going towards the clubhouse so factor that in it’s pretty should just straighten out your ball flight now the way I view that is perfect because if you had been trying to cut the corner a little bit more aiming further left that might have started to skirt over there a little too far left this is a spot especially to front hole locations PJ tour players suck that’s in my packet to them every single week so right here we were 106 looks like the pin’s 6 or 8 yards on the green i would definitely be telling you to try to carry it to the pin or even a little bit past it so So try to carry it 106 the wind is going to be in and off the left so this is one of the ones that’s quartering into us so that’s 15 so let’s let’s hit like a 115 shot right at it what club is that i’ve got a little gap wedge how far do you normally hit it 120 just like a nice punchy flighty one any any just straight at the flag straight at the flag it looks like there’s a false front on the front left so maybe a shade to the right of it here we landed a little bit long and a little bit right and it came back nicely great shot thanks do that again all right even better here so looking at that one two three four five so I carried it about 111 yeah perfect and again so here we are with a one two three you got a 10-footer i know that this is going to sound silly and this is more for maybe the 10 handicaps watching but this is the shot hey you got a 10-footer for birdie a the 10 this is like a 10% make rate this is 10% i mean I’m making that number up i don’t really know the 10 handicap numbers very well but this putt is like 40ish% for a tour player really but what’s the one thing we could like from here it doesn’t look that downhill but when you come down here this is that’s downhill down grain the last thing you want to do on this putt is blow it four feet by now we’ve got a straight into the grain uphill 4-footer coming back that if you miss it at all like mis hit it at all it’s just going to chatter off line you want to I mean again you’re a great putter so I’m gonna let you do however you do it but you just want this thing trickling this last bit and I would guarantee you this putt to optimize your strokes to hole out you need to actually leave some of them short which I know is frustrating when it happens but it’s not as frustrating as hitting it four feet by and missing it coming back i get you so D I’m I’m literally going to just try and let it drop in i mean you’re a great putter so do what you do but the greatest beauty that was nice i mean again it’s hard because that putt you actually do need to be comfortable leaving it short your shot pattern is going to be like four feet deep on that putt i mean again maybe not yours you’re a good putter but if you don’t leave any short you’re going to have four-footers coming back so we’ve got to be comfortable leaving some putt short in order to not three putt nice okay two under three three so again I mean one of the first things I did when we got out here was just like in relation to the clubhouse which way was the wind and the wind was going into it this way so the wind is in off the left here if we look at that bunker the far lip of the bunker is 269 i think that if you start it up that right center so you see that big kind of cool tree through the fairway you start it there and let it tail down just left of it even if you smother it the bunker is going to act kind of like as a catching catcher mitt pick that shot commit to it don’t think I don’t want to smother it or whatever your negative thought is just hit that same shot you’ve been hitting down it’s going to be fine that tree was 300 i don’t think you’re getting it to that tree yeah it’s good yeah a little bit high toe but it’s good i think he’s actually clung on to the fairway i think I think it’s fine if we judge every shot it gets exhausting it’s like So I mean I think the DJ’s I mean his agent is a member of my club and we’ve talked about him a lot he’s like people make fun of him for being dumb all they want the guy’s golf IQ is off the charts and I saw this interview with him and Nabalo at the British Open how seven or eight years ago and Nabalo said you know you seem pretty just chill out there you don’t get He’s like you know you don’t get too happy too sad and he’s like look man I’m going to hit good shots every day am I really going to get that excited i’m going to hit bad shots every day am I really going to get that mad and it’s like if you actually think about what he’s saying there it’s brilliant yeah it’s so good all right so now the wind is going to be pretty much off the left maybe maybe hurting a tad it’s hard to feel it here because it’s up above the trees but I would say to add a couple yards for it so play this thing like 123 or four and this is a spot we’re going a little bit right of the flag i feel like the the gap wedge considering how much it spun on the last would be too yeah so what was your what’s your pitching wedge then like 135 i think it’s just that same swing you just put on it yeah like a little 90% little tight punchy draw that’s going to the wind should pretty much hold it dead straight would you think yeah about a flag stick right wind’s holding it pretty straight yeah a tiny bit deep but that’s honestly the reason I had you go a little right is cuz pulls tend to go long and left so if you hit it at the flag and you happen to pull it it was going to in my mind bring the bunker into play but at least if we aimed it over there you’re going to have a little bit more the way grains aren’t squares typically you can usually buy yourself more distance control by getting it more towards the middle of the green what was that crazy stat you were telling me before about Tiger from that range from one from 100 to 125 in the fairway hit the green 82% of the time i mean that’s is that is that because the pins are tighter certainly part of it but again Tiger still shaded his shot pattern right of the flag even from that distance i mean like I should say towards the center of the green by like two or three yards you can’t tell where any one shot on tour was aimed but by the time you I literally reverse engineered his strategy i went through 20,000 of his shots by hand plotting where they were good speed nothing but good speed here perfect from a putt of that length what should an average golfer be aiming to achieve they should be leaving half their putts short half their putts long trying to optimize the length of their second putt see that’s not what we’ve heard is it for years you don’t want to ever leave a putt short oh I mean that’s just the worst advice in golf it is that is literally the single worst advice in golf wow which is where you know the best putters on the PGA Tour get 75% of their first putts from outside 30 feet within 10% of the length of putt so here we had 33 ft they would only I mean they would only they’re the best putters in the world they would get 75% of their first putts within a 3-FFT circle but that’s 3 ft long 3 feet short 3 ft left 3 ft right that’s a six-foot circle that’s all they’re doing just get in that circle just get it in that circle and it’s a huge circle once you understand that you can leave putts short you have a huge margin for error wow literally never up never in is by far the worst advice in golf so I just kind of lasered into the hill long left at 189 okay so you’re not hitting that thing long no so you see that one tree that’s kind of sticking out in the background rifle it right at that thing wind should pretty much straighten out your draw just like it did on that last T-shot so we’re not going for the pin we are going about seven or eight yards left of it this is weird because I I would honestly my eyes are just going out i think that the hardest thing in golf is not seeing the pin all right i’m not going for the pin i’m not going for the pin i’m not going for the pin hold on back off because I want you what I want you to do have a positive thought well that but but if you’re on the driving range and I tell you to aim at a tree or I tell you aim at a flag like you’re not thinking that so that tree we’re just on a range and that slanted tree is what you’re aiming at on the range i’m aiming at that tree well you did go along you killed it it’s more downwind than we thought it’s just It’s hanging right there in the fringe i must admit I kind of forgot I didn’t need all of it like you ripped it i think I tried to hit the tree it definitely looked like you swung full where are you trying to land this it’s either on the green or just in front of me but I That was kind of what I was saying when we were driving up here i think if you land it right in here it’s good but if you happen to land it short it’s going to propel it but into this wind is going to kill it i mean do you think landing in here is correct or is this too far uh yeah it looks good so now just think of what y’all were working on and then be an athlete and do it be an athlete and do it good shot be an athlete and do it getting out of your way and like okay I know what I’m working on you’ve thought it and then let’s just be an athlete and react to it human body is amazing so these are the ones though you don’t want to be leaving short are they no i mean this putt you should definitely never leave short but also you don’t need to hit it 3 ft by like No of course right in here is optimum speed for make rates nice it’s good putt very nice okay there we go the man with self-proclaimed yips gets it up and down his first attempt that might be the first time ever so the tree is through the fairway the ones over there on the right are 240 but now here’s the deal 80 yards in the fairway on tour is 2.75 120 yards in the fairway is 2.85 so the difference in 80 and 120 feels like a lot but it’s just not and so if this hole is that short if we just lay it out there to roughly 100 like there’s no reason i like 100 yards yeah i mean so a 200 yard shot like how far do you hit your three iron quite a hot three iron just just take a four iron and the line is I don’t know if that’s a bird or what that is on the bank cuz if you go from the bird what we’re really trying to do is just get you confident so if you see the the burnt spot that’s kind of like 30 yards left of it that’s 190 to carry so you if you hit it hard and pull it it’s going to carry that anyways pick pick what’s your final target cuz I want you to see your start the palm tree in the second island okay as long as you’ve got a good small target now just tight flighty punch like you’re back home perfect great shot there’s just no reason to try to push it closer well I tried to finish lich on that palm tree that it’s Yeah just right off but I’m saying with going with a three iron or a 3-wood or anything else like that’s perfect so you’re 128 to the flag the fringe that I can laser in that bunker like that’s right on the left lip of the bunker is 123 okay so the pin is back behind that again no doubles no doubles how do we make double here water hit in the water we don’t want to do that so we’re going to take and aim it pretty much see that there’s like four trees splitting the back like the middle one see that leaf that’s in the bank just left of it and just hit your 125 shot the wind should be pretty straight off the right we don’t want to hit this long do we either no but again that’s why we’re just This is just tightening up the language we don’t want to hit it long cool that’s why we’re going to pick our final number our final number the pin’s 128 i said 125 this is your 120 club yeah well one I can squeeze it to 125 i just think just this thing we’re just trying to have 25 ft from short to putt it move on to the next hole okay that’s going to be really nice it really is sit great shot commitment i like it wow this must have had luck it’s pitched here it would have jumped up and then spun right in front of the hole ser especially with it breaking this way i mean it’s probably about a six or six or 12 inches below it if you had missed your target by the same amount on this side it would have been in the bunker yeah and this is the hard thing is like I would say like they’re kind of the same shot this one’s just a little bit more convenient yeah little bit left to right up the hill jesus you really can putt especially on Bermuda grass i thought you were from England i’ve been playing a lot of different grasses at the moment nice here you go three under okay par five we’ve had a look at the map in the cart don’t think I don’t want to overdraw this just you’ve been hitting this driver great i would say the big tree just starting at just just left of it and turning back just to the cart path should be great oh that’s fine so without getting into too much into like decade math here but we would want to take 5% of the length of the shot so 169 roughly eight yards 161 to kind of cover 170 you want to land this thing like 173 the challenge is we’ve got water along too but I don’t really know where it comes into play obviously but I am able to laser right here like something in the 187 range so I know 187 is at least dry on land again this is just a tough one with this much wind because we’ve got probably about 28 yards of depth to work with it seems like I feel like if I went seven I I’m worried that eight wouldn’t clear well again so now we’re going to clean up that language rather than saying I’m worried of something we’re going to pick something okay and we’re going to commit to it because I agree with you i’m I’m worried also trust me I’m worried about it i like the round you got going the camera’s like “No no no.” But I’m also worried that if you smoke this thing I’m just thinking how do I get Eagle and get to 500 god damn it you guys put up with this every week i’m getting No no i mean I I think this is the right club i like a punchy seven okay just punchy flighty shots starting at the flag though yeah and then if it moves and turning yeah not even if like that’s kind of our target is a little bit left of it’s going to give us a little bit more tolerance you are an athlete be an athlete commit be an athlete go in the hole it’s not going to but beyond the green great shot that’ll work yes it will all right now yes this putt is to go five under but a two putt gets you to four this is a But I can’t leave a eagle putt short right this is a 27 foot putt i could sit here and bet you all day long and give you 10 to one on it you’re not going to make it and print money i will make this put what’s the odds of making this about 5% for you okay I’m I’m going to make this put but the most important thing of this putt is tapping the next one in so you’ve got a circle that starts from right here to right here what about the philosophy of into the wind so that’s going to negate some of the speed what about the philosophy of never leaving an eagle put short it’s not a good one unless it’s inside 10 ft okay good speed that’s all I want great putt don’t give me the stare at the stars i would be devastated with that i’m thrilled with that putt i so thought I had it as well i really thought I had that then this is why we play golf we’re all psychopaths oh okay four under i have to show off yep well you can acknowledge it hey this is cool i’m thrilled for you but also irrelevant once we get to the next shot i relevant another par five damn we’re getting to six is this not what you think so this is an interesting hole here it’s wide open but we still need to pick a really small target it’s that whole uh retella aim small miss small i I I think it’s aim small miss big accept that but we don’t want to just fire away that way we want to pick a very small target so I’m going to tell you something interesting talk to me you’ll hate how I say this i can’t wait i hate straight holes that’s fine i hate straight hole like this okay so how do you clean that up i don’t know maybe language up pick a point and just hit my little draw down that line do you hate driving ranges no uh no I don’t no I don’t this is a driving range wind is off the left pretty much straight straight off the left so it should hold your draw pretty straight can you see that white building yeah can you kind of tell where the right edge seems like it is right there fully locked in like you’re on the range no I hate straight holes i love this hole good ball surprised you never broke 170 ball speed you hit it pretty hard if uh if you want to follow Scott please do on Instagram scott Forser he runs Decade Golf so if you want to know more about measuring stats knowing a little bit more about course management do check him out and sign up for Decade Golf um like I say he’s a really cool guy knows a lot a really good player as well but knows a lot he’s going to help me here he’s going to become my full-time caddy you want to hit this about 190 and we’ve got we got we’re going to get a look here potentially but first of all let’s get it 190 and I would say like see the rakes in the in the bunk green side bunker 190 right at that okay is that like just a punchy sixiron yeah it’s a little six it’s kind of an awkward shot pretty strong wind off the left ball a little above your feet we got water left we got right so cool that’s all in play now we’re just locked in on the rakes perfect no reason to judge it absolutely perfect perfect 100% perfect 100% like DJ I’m going to hit good shots every day i’m going to hit bad shots every day that was a bad shot that you got away with that’s actually one just chalk that up to the golf gods got away with a bad shot it’s 60 to the top of the of the ridge on the bunker like right on line with the pin and then I’m catching an 82 long so we’ve got about not much past it so I want I want you to probably hit this thing 76 look let’s look at like a 73 shoulder to over shoulder 56 too much whatever it takes for you what’s your full lob wedge this is a lob wedge i never hit lob wedge from here what club is that stand wedge okay wind is off the left so I want you to start it right at it it Do you think that this shot will tail on you because I want this shot to finish like a perfect shots about two yards right of this flag yeah okay why would you never hit a lob wedge from here i mean I’m really curious too many bad memories okay well let’s get rid of it B grab one i just want to see this think of the swing you just put on the last one you’ve been hitting i mean like you’ve got these nice tight little punchy swings what difference does it make if it’s a lob wedge or sandwich put it if if it’s a problem put it maybe just a couple inches further back in your stance keep your weight on your left and now just that shoulder to shoulder but rip it not thin it though when you say too many bad memories like what does that mean that five yards in front of me but why that club and not a 56 i can do it with the 56 as well fair enough i can do it with both good memories yeah but that that felt punchy you’re on vacation life is good the dream’s alive we found a greenside bunker my provisional was out of bounds and my third one’s in there so we can play the original to be perfectly honest now that I know that I would have had you going well right of this flag this is a very narrow little area there’s not a whole lot of good outcomes for you if it’s that bad i would have had you just playing this thing to this specific pin this is a very bad pin for you on our line i if I had known you’re that struggly struggling I would have definitely had you go further right so here’s the deal right here you’re making bogey am I yeah you are don’t make double okay i mean and I really mean that can you splash this thing out the reason we’re going to go a little bit further left is because we don’t want it to run out long right so just literally splashing this thing out to 20 ft long left and two putting it you just you have a very thin lie here like that that was just a shot you’re never going to hit close with because of that lie really yeah i mean you’re never going to hit that one you can putt i’m impressed man like when people are looking at number three at Augusta and they’ve got that front left pin and it’s down there in that narrow little area that’s 11 yardds deep and that’s not very deep actually and when I look at something like this for a guy that’s kind of got apparently a 70 yard this area back here is not real wide deep i mean it’s okay but that’s really bad obviously and so going ahead I mean I was already putting you a couple yards left of this flag but going ahead and giving it a little bit more and and like what you were saying is probably landing it more at like 63 or four to where it’s more of like a pitch the shot you were trying to hit was like your shoulder to shoulder 71 like you were trying to land it pin high yeah i don’t I think that’s where we messed up there was your number in your head should have been like 65 does that make sense yeah definitely is here’s a situation where if you would have told yourself on one T you’d be three under right now yeah be happy you’d be I would assume more than happy yeah yeah getting back to what we were talking about at the start it’s not no bogeies on par fives it’s not too many tiger was trying to have one and a half of those mistakes per day to win on tour wow literally to win on tour you are going to have four to six per round yeah of course and so when you come up to something like this you’re like “Okay well there’s one.” Yeah okay like it wasn’t optimal but like you know that’s going to happen before you start a round so there’s no reason to let that be anything other than Okay cool there’s one i mean I just played 144 rounds of champ holes at champion Steuart Q School and I averaged 71 for them and I had 20 of those mistakes total so I had two and a half per round wow and when I’d have one I’d be like there’s one there’s two now if I got to four I’d be like all right dude what’s going on here but understanding bad things are going to happen is the key to not freaking out okay so hey we’re laying up on a par4 does that mean we just hit it that way we still pick small target wind is coming straight this way so the all the the junk on the right is 256 i don’t think you’re getting three iron to it so you see the white cart path dots starting it there and drawing it off of those yeah i don’t even mind going tiny bit further left than that well I’m playing wind and draw and everything together okay so that’s my start line you’re not going to If you hit it right it’s going to be more of a flare and you’re not going to hit it 260 okay does that make sense all right let’s finish with a birdie yeah oh jeez but this is how I do think like I think I have to do something now we’re going to hit a great shot out there we’re going to hit a wedge on the green we’re going to two putt it for par oh towed it a bit but should be fine it’s right down the middle of the fairway about 15 yards shorter than ripping it would have been but it should be fine i think it should be fine that’s positive 105 to the flag 97 to cover the pin what’s your sand wedge 100 you think we have a little help here or not i think so yeah especially with your draw i feel like gap wedge is going to be too much how much draw are you think it’s going to have i mean there’s ones aim at the big palm tree start line yeah I think it’s further right than that so the middle of the dirt i mean just another five yards now here’s the deal again okay that wasn’t great but now take relative to our target move that ball that far left of it and it’s probably just left of the pin yeah and so this is where it’s so hard to get oh that was gross because it wasn’t going at the flag i get it but if you pulled it that much just like you did a couple holes ago all of a sudden you’re posing on it life is good we got that momentum i’m momentum player this one’s easy to be like “Oh I just made a bogey now I just fanned it right.” Over the course of nine or 18 or 72 holes we’re going to miss our target left and right you just missed your target right whatever whip it out Scott cuz it’s going in all right get the metal pin out of the way perfect i mean that literally is the perfect speed because you’ve made the hole as big as physically possible yes that’s a nice one right three under through nine not some of the best golf best golf I’ve played scott thanks for that that was really honestly really good really insightful guys check out Scott on Instagram put his link down description below i was already already gave Decade Golf a shout out but check it out as well uh I think I feel like I need to use you your tools your skills a lot more and if you want 100% of my professional golf winnings to caddy for me it’s a deal pass [Laughter]

  1. Great philosophy. I'm a high handicapper and hardest thing for me some days is to remember not to try and be a hero. Steady as she goes. I started playing "bogey golf" after watching another youtube video one day and i've been a lot more relaxed on the course since. Two things I picked up from this were about leaving puts short and looking at the grain of the grass. I'm a classic for running my ball 4 to 5 feet past the hole. Going to picture the hole a little closer to me on my next outing and see how that goes. Also going to loo closer at the grass and see which way it lies. Surprised it makes that much of a difference.

  2. Quick cure for the 70 yard yips. Hinge and hold. I have my 62 degree set with hands at hips to hips at 45 yards, hands at 1/2 my swing length to 1/2 63 yards and so on. I can shorten those if needed by combining how far through and tighten the flight.

  3. This Vlog was actually 30sec long. commit to your shot… I like his wind calculations… how many handicap golfers have a wind meter…

  4. Hey Rick long time fan. But I’ve stopped watching your videos because of the negativity in them your negative self talk reflects my negative self talk. And so it’s just not good for me to listen to your negative self talk. This video is the easiest one for me to watch because you had a positive influence in it, but it got really annoying to watch Because you were so negative towards yourself and not listening to the guy who is trying to help you. I appreciate you man, but just like me you gotta stop with that negative self talk. It’ll make your videos so much more enjoyable.

  5. So I've just watched your most recent break 75, in Virginia, and you did NOT utilise a single piece of advice you were given in this video. Just more of the same ol negativity.
