Are you struggling with your long iron shots?
Ross Fisher shares a tip that will make those tough shots feel a little less intimidating. Let’s make long irons your new secret weapon! 🏌🏻♂️
hi I’m Ross Fisher this is Tour Tips with Travis Matthew today we’re going to talk about the long iron i’ve got five iron here so most of you amateurs think long irons how am I going to get it airborne struggle maybe try and help it up in the air with you know falling back maybe your setup isn’t quite correct so I’m going to give you a few pointers to help you try and get a long iron in the air so I think the first mistake that most amateurs will make is they’ll set up really well and then because it’s a long iron they think there’s no loft they need to help it so they’re going to fall back on it and really try and help it in the air so there I’ve tried to fall back on it it’s come out high but it’s not a great shot so with the long iron we need to trust the lofts on the club it’s going to help get the ball up we’re not going to fall back we’re going to stay committed swing back and through and just trust the loft on the iron that’s going to get it airborne hopefully those tips will help you go try it out
