Black History | Tiger Woods Exposes Racism in Golf | 1990 Interview” #america#blackhistory #shorts

ever feel under any kind of pressure or any any kind of prejudice uh I mean golf’s golf’s quite often seen as you know an upper class wing game um do you ever feel that at all every time I go to a major country club always feel it you can always sense it um people always staring at you what are you doing here you shouldn’t be here um when I go to Texas or Florida you always feel it cuz uh they’re saying why are you here i’m supposed to be here and uh that’s probably because that’s where all the slavery was so um do you feel in some ways that you could help change that if you became if you became like the next Jack Nicholas type figure or the next Tom Watson that maybe that would re-educate people since I’m black it might be even bigger than Jack Nicholas i might be even bigger than him um I might be sort of like a Michael Jordan in basketball something like that okay and and again one if you have one ambition say one tournament to win what would it what would it be what’s what’s the tournament that really captures your imagination the Masters why is that the way uh blacks have been treated there you know they shouldn’t be there and if I win that tournament it’ll be really big for us okay good luck anyway okay okay

Watch a rare 1990 interview of young Tiger Woods discussing racism in golf. Long before he became a legend, Tiger was already facing discrimination at elite country clubs. This clip shows how deep racism ran in sports, and why his success meant more than just trophies.

“They look at me like—why are you here?”
“If I win The Masters, it’ll be big for all of us.”

  1. America is a disgrace this young man should have been able to enjoy his God given talent without having to deal with that BS

  2. What happened Tiger why didn't you stay black. You would still have your 300 million dollars you had to give your oppressor i.e. Your ex wife. 😅

  3. My Dad was a Golfer in Wilmington Delaware and he was a very good golfer…. Made the papers😢 Rest In Paradise King Robert.he like this young man 🙏🏾

  4. This wa before the "Cablinasian" tap dance. Fuzzy Zeller, among many others, proved Tiger's point. Tiger wasn't just the Michael Jordan of golf, he also is golf's Jakie Robinson.

  5. There were so many people in golf who were jealous of him and made it known yet he remained respectful and humble while he smoked em. He revolutionized a boring old white man’s game into a sport.

  6. Professionally, Tiger was on the verge of breaking Jack Nicholas's record. And out of the blue, all hell broke loose in his life. Do y'all really think that was a coincidence?

  7. When blacks are given the chance, they will dominate. The European knows this. So they will let you know you don't belong in certain sports. Tiger was terrified to be black.

  8. Now Tiger Woods is now saying that he’s not a black man! Damn the self hate is real on him. But one day he will FOFA, because you can change your name, your circle, your clothes and you can even support and vote for Trump but you can’t change your DNA 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

  9. Not anymore everything changed with money . Have u seen he’s recent activities. He lost his way what a shame .

  10. Boy did he change! Or maybe he became more of who he really was, but was not wealthy enough to show it at that time!

  11. They felt fear..tiger felt fire 🔥 that's why he is who he is and took respect from them and became the best in a whole different color 😂.

  12. Don't worry Tiger. Africa's narrative is shifting, thanks to leaders like Capt. Ibrahim Traore. The continent is pushing back against exploitation, asserting its sovereignty and protecting its resources. It's time for mutual respect and fair play.
