hey y’all beard Bros Golf Show back at it again i am Rod and I’m Marcus the angry man marcus the angry man don’t let the smile he is supremely aggravated th This guy counted down to the start of the show and started and ended with four he didn’t even do one two three i want to catch him off guard i was ready sir no anyways all right back back at it again man um I feel like I’m getting tired of talking about Scotty but I’m I told you offline i’ve said it a couple times i’m ready for the domination i’m ready for somebody to just really step ahead of the field and separate themselves which I really do think that um Rory Maroy and um Scotty Sheffller have really done that this year both winning the elevated events i keep I keep using elevated what’s the official term signature events I guess sign signature which seems lame i like I would say ele I like elevated more i’m gonna stick with elevated um elevated event um am I wrong on Rory rory’s won the players which I guess is considered an elevated event the fifth major unofficial he won the Pebble he won an actual which was a true elevated event he’s won three times scotty you ain’t lying scotty’s won a regular tour stop you know at the Byron Nilson um home game you know then won the uh PJ Championship rory won the Masters of course closing out the the career grand slam um and then we saw Scotty come back this week without Rory playing um I didn’t I don’t think we got a chance to talk about Rory not playing in the memorial last week or did we this week’s been a weird one i don’t think we did because I don’t think we knew he wasn’t going to play right right so let’s just talk about that get that out of the way so a lot of kurfuffle um about Rory not playing Memorial not necessarily giving Jack Nicholas a direct heads up on him not playing and I guess people reading into that you noted even though I am not a huge fan of Jack’s responses particularly in his later stage of his life um kind of a bit you know I mean when people start aging you know the filter fades away and a lot of times when Jack talks it’s just kind of like a grading um you know the feel is is very irritating to me but either way came off with a really good answer about the Rory situation you know just talking about schedules um trying to make make the schedule fit around you know all the things that he has going on in his life so handled it very diplomatically i would say probably one of the better answers that Jack has given in real time about Rory not showing up to uh Jack’s place at Memorial so what do you think about him not playing but jumping in RBC ahead of the US Open yeah I mean I don’t think Rory’s had the best experience at Memorial i mean it’s a tough golf course as it is and Rory has been uh pretty perennial when it comes to the Canadian Open i think he’s won it three times now throughout his career so um yeah I would be I would be putting my money on him playing at the Canadian and he’s a f I think he is a week before player so he doesn’t take a break before the major he plays the week before so I guess he felt like he was going to be tired or whatnot he didn’t feel like playing three events in a row um as far as playing the Memorial and then playing the Canadian and then playing the US Open because I think once again there’s an elevated event right after the US Open so I think he probably is going to play the Travelers which is in Connecticut and instead of getting fined for missing another elevated event so I think that’ll be his three in a row um and I’m not I’m not I mean I’m not hurt by him missing the Memorial the Memorial still had a stack field still had plenty of great players in it um so yeah I don’t think that was an issue and like we said Jack Nicholas handled it greatly he said it the best but he’s going to make his schedule he doesn’t have to reply and respond and and tell me why he didn’t thanks no worries sorry [Laughter] mark is still uh closing down the shop today at work so uh got a got a little side interference what’s up i got I’m sorry i’m coming from work so I had to get some food delivered so that was my food delivery and he was just apologizing for spilling my drink and I just had to tell him it was okay mid answer anyways um yeah Rory good in my book ride what you got um I agree i mean that would have been a lot of golf consecutively had he entered into the memorial yeah he could have missed the Travelers but like you said he also um you know again you play where you think you have the best odds of winning especially at this stage of his career where he has stated that he was going to slow down on the starts per year um so I don’t fault him and I’m kind of not a huge fan of um you know you could swing it over to the hip-hop side of things i would say like this whole like letting Jack know that you’re not showing up is like checking in like somebody going into New York or LA and then and checking in i And you know it’s just kind of like it’s kind of lame um you know they’re big boys and and they’ll be okay and uh I think there was a lot of you know armchair commenters talking about the fact that um you know Jack gave Rory some tips on how to play Augusta it’s hard for me to believe that Rory just this year decided to get feedback on how to play Augusta and hasn’t done that previously but I mean it just seems weird and they it seems like you know people are addicted to the drama and uh played it up a lot more but we’ll keep it moving yeah just real quick it’s also funny that people that somebody I mean hopefully they didn’t really bring that up but if they did again another randomly rare good Jack response jack was interviewed about the Masters what he talked to Rory about he was like “Hey let’s just go through their course what would you do here what would you do there?” Jack Nicholas literally said “I wouldn’t do anything that you didn’t say that you said that you would do i would do the exact same game plan so what are we talking about here bro anyways and it’s it’s not like Rory has never played at Augusta i mean he’s played there before um you kind of figure out where to miss and and honestly at the end of the day you still have to go out there and make shots um so you can have you can have all the greatest um core strategy in the world but if your game is not on that week good luck i mean you’re not going to you’re not going to be able to pull that out no matter what kind of strategy you have in play so um yeah look at look at Jack answering diplomatically around Rory so kudos to him for that um I shot you a text that you never responded to about Ben Griffin um making a name for himself i mean he got the team win earlier in the year got the solo win um at the Colonial the Charles Swab challenge the week prior and then really contended at the top of the leaderboard here but um the inevitable one scottish you know tracked him down on Saturday you know going on to win but Ben Griffin really is um finding his way on tour especially now that he’s gotten some momentum under his belt um the game is and especially as we get to see him more it’s quirky it is not your standard fair it is not your textbook swing it almost looks like he’s especially on the tee swinging out of his shoes with driver but gets gets takes takes a lot of aggressive lines very confident in that driver um what do you think about Ben Griffin break down his game and and what do you think his um trajectory is and potential um I think that he’s an above average distance player so he’s not really lacking as far as distance goes i think when it comes down to it Ben Griffin is the moniker for one swinging your own swing but two also these men on the pro levels play a different game than we could ever imagine when you can swing the golf club as he does where he doesn’t even really get it to three quarters of the way back and the face is shut at the top he comes off his toes when he’s teeing off and still hits fairways and still hits a perfect little tight draw um I think you know every now and again the irons get squirly i’m really trying to find I’m like I’m really trying to find like the weak spots i mean nobody’s really just a crazy good putter anymore like we’re not there’s very few Danny McCarthy’s in the world nowadays you know what I’m saying so it’s not like we’re going to sit here and be like yo like Ben Griffin’s putter is holding him back i mean that’s everybody if everybody was holding putts then we’d be having crazy scores crazy low scores and stuff like that but I think it just comes down to you know most everybody just needs to hit the ball closer be a little bit more accurate aka dispersion so um as far as it goes I think Ben is um I mean I can’t say he’s a career second place now i can say that he is officially a winner and you know I I want to see it again to kind of stamp that but he has officially done it you know I still don’t I mean I still don’t take the team win I don’t I don’t take the team win for granted but am I putting a lot of like stock in it or Yeah like oh that’s that’s the transformation i think it gave him enough confidence to win um down the road but I mean yes if if he has a long career I mean it starts to lose its value over time because it is a team win um you know I’d like to see Novak get his win you know his his solo win that’s what I was getting ready to say you can’t disrespect Andrew Novak because Andrew Novak’s having a hot season he hasn’t you know won yet but he’s been on top of the leaderboards many a week led the led at the end of rounds before as well so you know I think that was two hot players that got hot at the right time and so that’s why they ended up winning so yeah I I’m definitely um you know happy for Ben Griffin but let’s not disrespect what Andrew Novak did on the same team but yeah um I’m I’m going to put you on the spot but someone I’m I’m not thinking about like gamewise but I think somebody who’s comparable or who Ben Griffin could actually aspire to and have a career that’s similar is um Victor Havlin i I see some Victor Havlin flashes in Ben Griffin in terms of just a different swing a little bit you know has to be very rhythm based and in the groove um you know hitting all the notes to see that success but I can see him having consecutive hot weeks like we saw from Vic Havlin just a couple of years ago where he really started to elevate himself and I can see us seeing flashes i don’t think he’s as naturally gifted as um Victor Havlin is but I think he’s got the work ethic to see that type of um winning in his career so I’m just interested to see how he continues to roll particularly as the season goes on and he’s been playing a lot of golf so I I think the fatigue factor eventually hits him i think we saw a little bit of that we’re seeing that with um Sah Dala just playing pretty much every week um and you know the health can suffer the game can can suffer um particularly when you don’t give yourself a break to rest and or go back to the lab and work on some of those things that maybe prevented you from crossing the finish line but I think an intriguing story to see his return to golf um and just you know him getting some shine these days he’s just interesting yeah i don’t um that’s a different comparison i don’t really see that i don’t I mean I think I think you said it in your answer in in kind of like your reasoning i feel like Vic Havlin is just such a natural Ben Griffin is a grinder like I like if I’m being honest I feel like he’s more closely as far as like hard work and having to put in the work and get on a hot streak to win honestly I feel like he’s more like a Zack Johnson and I don’t mean that to hype up Zack Johnson in any kind of way because Zack Johnson is a piece of [ __ ] but um as far as you know oh lord Zack Zack as as Andy would say Zack Johnson catching some strays or DJ Wilson would say that zack Zack Johnson catching some random strays as he should you don’t say f you you don’t say f you and then try to say you was saying f you to the golf course when the fans was killing you the whole round our our video our video dissing uh Zack Johnson a couple years ago did some pretty decent numbers so I think the uh community agrees with Jack Johnson being a piece of [ __ ] exactly so anyways that’s be my that’d be more my comparison and I’m sorry Ben Griffin that I had to compare you to to to Bro but that’s more who I would compare you to i mean besides the fact that you know they play you know completely different shot shapes i mean Ben Griffin’s going to hit the draw you know Vic Holland’s gonna hit that just that buttery oh that comparison that comparison not Johnson’s comparison yeah yeah yeah yeah i got you so that that that would be So we actually are disagreeing on on a few things for once remember when people used to say we never disagreed y’all are boring i mean I thought I actually actually thought about it the other day but I think that’s honestly where this debate culture um kind of sucks where people just take diametrically opposed views just to do it and just to argue but I mean if we disagree we disagree if we agree I mean cool i mean damn i mean that’s the point of us getting up here and explaining our reasoning behind our thoughts exactly that I mean typically we end up in the same place or similar i mean there’s things we clearly disagree on which um equipment wise we’ll talk about a little bit later um when we get into uh the putter situation as you mentioned you kind of touched on it a second ago um in terms of great putters out there there’s there when I think about great putters there’s a handful out there like back in the day Brad Faxton um seems to be the putter whisperer um I feel like Tom Tom Watson at different times had had a really fire putter i know in clutch moments they would talk about Jack Nicholas being a really um elite putter but I think that I don’t think that was always the case like tournament in tournament out so um you know but let’s let’s talk a little bit about Scotty let’s glaze him just a little bit before we get to moving i mean it’s it’s starting to become redundant i mean again quick quick quick uh you know shout out and plug to our what’s in the bag that we did on him last year i don’t think much has changed other than maybe the putter setup has changed a couple of times um but um yeah go check out our what’s in the bag on Scotty Sheffler again not much has changed i think he’s he’s kept it pretty consistent of course the woods change year in year out um but even then this year he’s not really adopted the uh QI35 standard playbook from Taylor it wasn’t by it wasn’t by choice he was really trying to hold on to those QI10s his driver just became non-conforming so he might honestly have to go to a backup or go to the QR35 just to conform with the USGAA or whatever oh that that me a quick uh reminder to to talk about something that came up last week and on the uh the uh driver situation but yeah I mean Scotty is is if he’s in the rearview mirror I think that’s where that dominance and that intimidation factor is is actually starting to creep in i I truly do believe that guys see him as different i saw a little quick uh clip from Jordan Spe talking about Scotty’s face control being uniquely just elite and being able to just that’s keeping him in tournaments when he’s not playing his best golf i think that’s what I saw at the PJ Championship that even though he wasn’t necessarily playing his best golf the face control and just being able to hit in the general area of where he wants to to go and not having these crazy misses you just don’t honest you honestly don’t see Scotty with like these crazy you know slices where he’s missing it very far right i mean when he’s off he’s slightly off even if it’s not his best golf he’s still hanging around there so I don’t know to me that’s that’s the part I think that guys who are pros seeing him on the range playing rounds with him they see how different he is than than where they currently are um what do you think about Scotty’s game and and honestly what we’re to expect for the rest of this year yeah I mean like nobody is saying that Scotty can’t go out and score but the thing that differentiates Scotty from the rest is that Scotty doesn’t make big numbers scotty doesn’t go through a round sporadically like a Jordan speak you know what I’m saying like right he is legitimately gonna part you to death and I think we actually have to reference his dad uh in that clip that we had you know however long ago his worry wasn’t the PGA his worry was the corn ferry tour where you have to go out and you have to shoot 18 and 19 and 20 under if the battle is even part of five to six under Scotty’s right there and that’s every week that we’ve seen that i mean you just go through the rounds that he had this week he didn’t do anything he didn’t do anything crazy he didn’t shoot any 64s he didn’t shoot any 65s he went 70 he went 70 he went 68 his lowest round of the week then he went 70 again and you total it all up and he won by four like that is pressure on the field because you know Scotty’s not going to mess up and you press people to play better and and try harder and score more because they know they’re going to make mistakes it’s just about making sure that I can keep up with Scotty and all the things that he’s not going to make mistakes on and making sure that I’m staying you know six seven eight nine under par um and things like that i mean you saw it uh with the RBC RBC Heritage rbc Heritage scotty went out had some crazy rounds and shot like 15 but he got left behind in the dust because he’s not shooting crazy low numbers every round that’s why JT ended up winning it and Novak ended up winning it because they know they can score and they can go low because they are trying to counterbalance the high rounds that they’re going to have or the the low rounds where they’re even par and stuff like that so um I think it’s like what you said Scotty is very intimidating as far as that goes um and you’re always going to know when Scotty is around i mean I wasn’t even paying attention on Saturday i I was looking at your text and I’m like “Okay Ben Griffin might you know run away with it a little bit.” And then you know Scotty comes and shoots a fourth round and the next thing you know he’s leading the tournament and it’s like well how much is I just bro once he Yeah once Scotty took the lead on Saturday going into Sunday I was like it’s over like in my head I just knew like I didn’t have to turn it on i I didn’t have to watch it Saturday or Sunday because I knew the result he does not come back to the field and I think you kind of touched on it just a second ago those grinding tournaments single digits par you know like underpar i I feel like those are damn near going to be a lock for him because like you said he may not go out and shoot the 65 and and go super low but he’s going to nick and cut you you know two three four under par every day for the entire tournament and you’re going to have that stall out round where you’re just not moving forward and you’re not separating from everybody or you you just sit still which Ben Griffin did he got to a number and then he kind of just got stuck on that number versus Scotty just again plotting plotting plotting and ends up getting the win and that’s that’s been the truth i mean he ends up winning by four strokes he’s inevitable it It’s just like damn slow down bro so I I don’t know let’s I know it’s It’s We could like We could glaze Scotty forever you could go through the stats and stats you know strokes gained off the tea strokes gained approach he’s number one this season in those stats and categories we talk about you know kind of the other stats that really honestly don’t matter at the end of the day um the putting has gotten to the point where it’s not hurting him you know there was a point in time when he was forcing the bladed putter he went from you know the the Newport two style to the Olsen putter and then finally Rory convinced him to put the spider in his hand and it’s been a game changer i mean it’s been kind of lights out since that point let me get to some putting stats just just for craps and giggles um strokes gained putting this season 27th again there were times when we were looking at this a couple of years ago when he was ball striking like a champ and he would be near the hundth um you know in ranking right for the season for tournaments 60th mhm yep he’s sixth in putting average 12th in putts per round one putt percentage 17th these are absolutely worlds away from where he was just two seasons ago and I think it’s where you know honestly where the difference has been made with him um you know he would look very puzzled on it would seem like reads but now looking back I think he was just really struggling with the stroke and not getting it going on the right line when I was sitting there at the time saying “Okay he can’t read putts to save his life.” When I don’t think that’s it i just think he had maybe the right idea but pushing it pulling it some just something would be completely off in the putting but um that has really transformed to who we see today and I think that’s been the biggest difference um let’s touch on swing on over to the ladies it was their second major of the year the uh women’s US Open at Aaron Hills the course looked amazing it It’s literally It’s one of those ones where you want to see it in person but I could just tell from the social media from all the LPGA ladies that participated they were really posting a lot of landscape pictures of the course really seem to enjoy their practice rounds out there um the course definitely showed up and I don’t think there was a really a good way for and again it’s USA i don’t think they did a really great job of displaying the um elevation changes some of the drop offs from greens up you know down in the um those false fronts i don’t think it really did a great job of portraying that i mean we’ve seen some really good camera work on the PGA side this year i don’t think we got a lot of great camera work this week for the US Women’s Open but despite that I think we still were able to see the impressiveness of Aaron Hills without trees you know that wasn’t even a required um you know part of it the wispy grass off of the fairway really effective deterrent again having to land it in the right places on those greens out there or facing the ball rolling off or catching you know the wrong area um quite tons of three putts um you know tough up and downs but I think it was a really fun tournament to watch the grind um slow play which we’ll get to in just a sec definitely um was talked about especially the first two days trying to get you know the rounds finished and and get to the cut what what did you experience um how much of it did you get to watch and and what were your thoughts coming out of that um I watched um a fair amount i felt like I watched a lot of it um the final round um I was actually off on Sunday so I got a chance to come home and watch a fair amount of that um it’s it’s funny we were talking about being like having an intimidating having an intimidation factor um I don’t see that with Nelly i The girls just Well I mean honestly the girls don’t fear [ __ ] if I’m being honest the the they’re gonna go out and shoot a number they’re gonna go out and I feel like Aaron Hills kind of wrangled that in i mean there was only 12 I mean 13 players total that were in red numbers for the f for the entire week um so that shows Saturday was brutal literally uh I mean just think about Sheriff Smeltzel two over and then three over on the weekend gimmi No three over then two over on the weekend uh Ena Yun shot a 79 the course average was 75 75 so if we’re being honest that Saturday round one may have start the tournament if we’re if we’re going to keep it a stack literally she hung on for dear life on Sunday she tried to give it away i mean you know Nelly shot a little one under she honestly I mean Nelly got it to six or seven but you know if she could if she was able to post it but you know she saw but she saw what she did on 18 she kind of went for it or she did go for it um and then kind of screwed her because of those raised greens and stuff like that but you couldn’t really tell that because the cameras just like you said the camera views didn’t really show how raised some of these greens were how some of these flag placements were literally on little knobs where you kind of just had to make sure your speed was right or that you were hole high or pin high or whatnot but um overall another good product the LPGA is really gaining a lot of momentum outside of just social media they are finally getting a chance and opportunity to play some of these you know worldrenowned courses with championship conditions week in and week out they’re not getting you know subsidiary courses and stuff like that they’re not playing the same courses as Liv is playing they’re same playing the same courses as the PGA now so um good on them um yeah i you know I was looking through the list and it’s just like I mean after that I’m not really like I don’t know man ronnie Yen like I mean I guess I mean Ma Saigo I guess um Shabuno had a tough Sunday arya Jernigar Saturday she just shows up for majors i swear Shabuno I remember a few years ago at the uh she Yeah she’s a winner British Open yeah she’s got a game but I don’t think she likes playing states side very often just just comes over for the majors right right yeah um but overall I think the US Women’s Open really was kind of like a momentum booster you know feel like this is a good a good spotlight to what we can see what the girls game involves and you know just really kind of shows what we’ve been seeing for many years now as well this is the game that we need to be watching um I can’t rem I can’t find his name but um one of the execs in golf said “Look if you were a betting person putting your money on the LPGA is is where it would be right now it does have the highest upside we’ve talked about that for two years better part of two years we’ve said that the LPGA is where the momentum is and where it has the biggest opportunity to gain ground um in the world of golf i’ll tell you just anecdotally going out on the weekend when I first started playing golf honestly up until pandemic times and I even think current female participation in golf has exceeded where it was when you know we were all sitting at home in 2020 and tons of people that either hadn’t played the game in a long time or people that were just looking to get outside picked up clubs i see more female participation in the game on weekends um foresomes you know a lot of couples golf out there i’m seeing more women you’re not just riding in the cart no no with a book in a blanket those days are long gone it’s It’s far few and in between seeing full participation taking the game seriously um seeing a lot more in social media you’re getting more exposure lpga teaching pros um or female you know women teaching pros they’re they’re teaching both even a local course uh that we play here Tiara Verdie in um Arlington Texas has a woman teaching pro that’s their head pro um you have one uh Milana Dutch at uh Herman Park who you know migrated from Cedar Crest it’s it’s becoming the norm and I think the downside to me the only downside is that kind of as you mentioned with Nelly there is not a dominant woman in the game that has taken just like a made a cobra clutch of of the game and won consistently we’ve seen flashes we’ve seen people get a couple of majors um we saw Nelly’s really good season um I’m like completely blanking who the lady I’m I should not be lilia Vu shot plus 18 in her two days out on that course she was a two-time major winner just a year ago two years ago two years ago two years ago um and has dealt with injuries since then we’re waiting for Gino Thakool to take over patty T disappointing showing this past weekend um right there’s so many that have give selene Boutier won two majors a couple of years ago right there’s there’s been these flashes I know right of of high talent seeing the potential to break out but then fading back into the background and I get it the talent level is incredibly high the competition is high maya Stark the Swedish young lady who won the US Open it’s her second PGA victor P LPGA victory um of course first major and it looked like when she won her first tournament she wasn’t even a tour member at that time back in 2022 when she won initially so again 25 years old just now kind of figuring out the professional game um has been hanging around i mean the name she’s a Nike athlete um you know not bad to look at all those things you know so again I want somebody to break out i want somebody to assert their dominance where the other players are like “Oh [ __ ] here comes Nelly here comes Lily Avou better watch out they’re going to you know separate themselves.” But we just haven’t been able to see that and I think that’s the that’s to me the only downside to the women’s game right now yeah i think I think unfortunately and fortunately like it’s a two-way road because you think about it and it’s like that it creates parody in the game not having a dominant figure there’s multiple people that it’s like who’s going to win now who’s going to do it you like this this year in particular we’re not looking at anybody and saying “Yo this is the LPGA player of the year and we’re trying to see who can compete with that.” You know what I’m saying so it goes both ways like I feel like there are plenty there is a plenty of people that want to see like multiple winners and parody that way but there is also a very good amount of people that want to see dominance and I would like I mean it because that’s the question then becomes who’s going to be the guy to knock him knock his block off or knock her block off and we’re not we’re not seeing that we’re seeing that in the PGA we’re seeing um you know everybody’s going for Scotty everybody knows the name to go after it’s Scotty it’s Rory and then it’s whoever else is going to be trying to fight for you know third place and stuff like that when when it comes down to it so unfortunately like you said we’re not seeing that and it’s kind of hurt in the LPGA game this year of 2025 but in years past I felt like it was a good thing so hopefully you know we can get back to some premium golf and maybe we get a one dominant superstar but for now I’m actually kind of refreshed to see that but but also that’s because we are seeing it on the PGA tour i still have I I I’m having the cake and eating it too you know what I’m saying i’m seeing both sides yeah the PGA has the dominant player the LPGA has the parody so I’m seeing both so yeah makes sense i’m going to pull up this uh during quick little interlude and then we’ll jump back into the uh US Women’s Open quick sidebar question um I’m in the shoe market for FJoys and have a question in the Fujoy originals and the Fjoy Premiere basically look the exact same what’s the difference leather it’s the difference in the leather um the originals I wouldn’t say it’s like a PU like a polyurethane leather um but on the Premieres it is their top quality shoe it’s a kind of a I I don’t want to characterize the leather but you get a two-year warranty i have an old video about comparison comparing the traditions um which is kind of the version kind of similar to the originals versus the premiere um which would now cover the Willox the LX all those upper crust anything that you’re paying uh north of $200 for for FJOY it’s just a higher quality leather and you’re going to get a 2-year warranty waterproof warranty versus the one year with like your traditions your uh there’s the blueers the originals that lower tier where you’re paying about 150 in the Foot Joy lineup but good luck on your shoe shoe journey thanks for your comment all right um back to the LPGA again slow play as I mentioned going into it was a big factor because the featured group was Lexi Thompson um we saw um you know Nelly Corda and Charlie Hull in that featured group they got the majority of the screen time that first day which I mean it was all day coverage but of course they were the ones with the biggest star i’m going to pull up this quote um and it’s super long statement I should say from Lexi Thompson after the fact um there’s a lot of lot of words in here but essentially I want to skip to uh the uh middle part here she says I I want to add this because pay to play was a huge talk this week people we want people to realize our group basically waited on every single hole on the group in front we were never out of position warned or on the clock i’ll be the first one to say I’m not as fast as my playing partners the two days but I’m also the last person that wants to be out there for six hours so before you make any assumptions make sure you get all the facts right before basing it off pictures and little clips this is in reference to Charlie Hull which seemingly was her rolling her eyes walking to the next hole and taking a seat um that type of stuff um and that’s all and I’m sure how many times I have to repeat this but I never used the word retire i said not a full-time schedule and so of course I told Marcus I said the comments you know came in a little funny you know Ben Baller who’s jewelry guy said she was definitely slow my favorite was she even retires slow thought that was the the winning comment of them all so um I mean as it relates to slow ple and keeping up with the group ahead of you not being on the clock you know we’ve all kind of been in this situation before where you know you’re playing behind a slow group or the course is slow that really doesn’t give you an excuse to slow up your GL game and force the people behind you to wait finish the whole you know move at a a pace um that is kind of dutiful you can just see see everything about Lexi Thompson is very deliberate not bad as Carla Carlotta Saganda but not very fast moving like putts misses the putt looks at the putt for an prolonged period of time before walking and marking it um prolonged practice swings around a chip um adjusting of grips all these things that are annoying to the faster player um so I didn’t I I don’t know i know Lexi has grown up before our eyes she’s been in the game of golf since she was what 11 years old and we’ve known about her and we’ve seen her grow up in the spotlight i unfortunately this is my take on it as a 40some year old adult i don’t think she has been able to mature just because she’s not I don’t know there’s just there’s something in that state right there’s just something in that statement that lacks maturity to me and addressing like there’s too much reading of the internet where she’s addressing every single thing that people are saying about her get out of the comments Lexi you know like hell our channel is not big i don’t really care or invest myself in the comments that get made on this channel because I can’t these people really don’t know us um in tr in fact you know like there’s a lot that you don’t see on camera so like me taking it personally when somebody doesn’t like a video or has a contrary opinion to what we something we’ve said me getting my feelings hurt about it it’s kind of lame like I wouldn’t be doing myself any service and I see that from Lexi what do you think about this yeah i mean it just to piggyback on that last kind of sentiment buddy like there’s no reason for you to say like hey like uh the K thanks thing like that was real bratty real snotty at the end like that was definitely like some 17year-old teenager [ __ ] like literally I if we’re keeping it a stack but um yeah I mean I don’t know I just don’t really have a lot of sympathy for slow players in general And even without the clips from Charlie Hull with the size with the eye rolls with her hanging out on the T- box next waiting waiting you could see it in the coverage how Lexi plays like I didn’t need a a clip i didn’t need a real i didn’t I didn’t need a TikTok i didn’t need to see any of that i’m looking at it myself i watched it yeah in in 4K bud like um the the putting stuff really kills me because the greens are tricky but the more you outsmart yourself the worse and we’ve talked about this multiple times you just have to go with the read believe in the read if you don’t make sure your speed is good and move on about your day like it’s you’re gonna Oh all right like I just I’m trying to understand yeah bro i’m I’m just really honestly in fairness trying to kind of relate and understand what could take that long why would you sit over the putt that long why would you take that many practice strokes even if it’s regimented even if that’s your practice and that’s what you’ve done for a while what is the m like what why are we doing more than one or two if you’re filling out the pace you fill out you okay one is too short one is too long okay now maybe a third one in the middle and then I go up to the ball and I address it but as Rod will tell you I do not practice swing on the greens at all i read the putt from both sides and then I address the ball after I put my line down or I put my my mark down in the direction I want it to go because I’m not trying to sit here and outsmart myself with way too much brain activity i’ve already I’ve do that too much on a daily basis so yeah I really don’t understand why why she does that and or any of that or why that post was made but progre but congrats to her on her slow retirement and whatever schedule she chooses so to play right at the 30 you know she’s in her lower 30s 31 32 something like that 32 so I mean you can make you can make your choice you know go get married know she recently uh announced her engagement so um good luck to her um never been one of the players that I’ve really enjoyed watching um you know even the game has never really matured right i mean she looks like the same player that she was when she was 15 years old you know just right unorthodox follow through you know taking huge divots very steep um I mean like I said you can catch fire lightning in the bottle sometimes and and it works and she’s been a winner and there’s nothing to take away from her there but it’s been a long time since she’s performed at a really high level so you know shout out to Lexi Thompson and congratulations to Mya Stark for getting her first um major victory um you mentioned it super early in the conversation Nelly T2 but didn’t really feel like a T2 um you know I just Yeah maybe hey no maybe she conquered the US Open though everybody’s been commenting on it maybe she has gotten over her yips of the US Open and we’re not going to see any more of these you know 82s and 81s or whatever but yeah um she did make strides but again this isn’t the Nelly that was last year’s Nelly and unfortunately I don’t think I let me just say this i don’t think she did herself any favors by being that hot and winning that many times and then coming out the next season and performing like she’s doing because everybody’s now now got questions you know well where’s the Lexi of last year what’s wrong what’s going on what’s wrong with her personal life is it something matter what what now the questions are not going to even be golf related and does she want that no do we want that no we want to see the best of the the best of Nelly so hopefully see the talent right so hopefully this is some good momentum going forward as and she tried to mention that she tried to say this is some building blocks on what could happen later on in the season and [ __ ] they still got three more majors right they still got three more majors bro there’s a there’s a lot of uh lot of golf left to play and I think even on the broadcast uh Paige McKenzie mentioned um the mental fortitude um for for Nelly and just said that it has been in question and I think you know when you’re not performing at the level that you’re capable of those are the questions that start to creep in and whether that’s fair or not um you know success breeds questions when you’re not able to keep up those moment moment momentum in your career and we saw kind of in the midst of a really good season like you mentioned the the US Open i I in real time watched her shoot that 10 on that part three and it was brutal i mean you know so um you know I think there’s a lot of LPGA left um there’s you know it’s very fun that they backload their season so we get to see a lot of them you know pretty much all the way through November so I’m looking forward to that as the uh the gentlemen you know are really hot and heavy and into the meat of their season so I mean we’re two weeks away from from their US Open and it’s crazy to think that yeah yeah really yeah less than two weeks total well [ __ ] i mean we’re going to get live from the US Open starting at Monday 8:00 a.m whether we like it or not right sharp they may even They may They may even start it on They may even started on Sunday night you know they love putting the lights get a replay no facts we’re not gonna get a replay of the RBC Canadian final round i doubt it i know it’s pretty sad um quick mention of the DP World Tour these are not names that you don’t that you know but um uh Nikolai von Dellinghousen ends up winning this past weekend but noticeable is Christopher Retan who won last Sunday who won last Sunday i know he is a nine under in a tournament last week that he won on Sunday entered into a playoff this week he ends up in second shooting like Marcus said a 60 10 under 60 on a Sunday bro what he’s doing prep on Sundays but if he just brought half that game I don’t know um Sunday I mean imagine that two total rounds 19 under that’s pretty damn impressive i don’t care where you’re playing in the world going 19 under two two rounds two Sundays when it matters to put yourself in contention um you just wish he played a little bit better earlier on in the week especially this particular week that just passed but I just wanted to acknowledge that cuz that I mean I looked at the the leaderboard and I was like again right really bro again literally it was crazy so uh DP World Tour they’re they’re still playing over there even though it’s not the it’s not the DP World Tour that we grew up on uh in this golf game no uh you know names that I remember you know Thongshai JD i used to love seeing him uh when Brooks Keepa was first coming up um who’s our old Ross Fisher right bro n premium Nike al uh athlete i know oh now they’re going so that’s our me they’re going to Netherlands they’re playing in the traditional KM Open we’ve seen it multiple times it is definitely a mainstay in their schedule so I mean that’ll be fun to see um same old same old uh 2.75 million purse so winner’s getting like what 300 400,000 something like that yeah not great everybody that I mean it seem it’s crazy because everybody’s doing the road to the road to the uh Dubai and they’re getting points and Rory’s still far and away the leader like yeah he just got to get the get a major high major finishes and Rory’s gonna run away with the race to Dubai again this year okay i’m trying to think i’m I’m going through their schedule upcoming so the KM and then they have the US Open on their schedule as well right that’s that’s 10,000 Road to Dubai points or whatever or road to it it it says R2DR so whatever that stands for but I’m just going to go with Road to Dubai um then they got the Italian Open a little bit more money on the line there then they got the BMW in Germany then they got the Genesis the the Genesis Scottish Open that’s July 10th so that’s probably the next time we truly see uh Rory our DP World Tour leader over uh in Europe and then I’m trying to think about where else we might see him because there’s Well there’s the British Masters maybe oh like crossing the seas and playing over yeah yeah he still he still makes an effort to go over there but that’s typically he does it early in the season and then very late he’s not going to play in the Brit the the BF freed British Masters by Nick Faldo but he might play early September september 4th is the Irish Open september 11th is the BMW uh see I think I think he could but that’s our playoff the BMW yeah I mean the timing on that rough but that one’s become a little bit popular we’re seeing more PGA players go to the BMW Championship but I think he always does tee it up for the Irish let’s see okay all right now I’m on PGA schedule so the Windom Championship the end of the year you need points you playing this we’ve seen Tiger Tiger in it even that’s July 30 july 31st my bad um and then playoffs no he can make it no no no no no no no no he can make it august is our playoffs august 7th august 14th august 21st all in a row so yeah September yeah September he’ll be over there so yeah we’ll see him for the Irish and we’ll see him for the BMW possible possible two weeks off yeah but not a guarantee on the on the BMW um that’s true we’ll see and I don’t think he wants to get paired with Billy Horell again um keep it moving on our What do you want to talk about next a golf ball alignment or zero torque putters uh let’s get the putters out of here all right so I know Marcus is not a fan of the zero torque port putter largely because of the center shafted uh alignment there and I don’t know if there’s a way to even create a zero torque putter without having the shaft straight down the middle um but I pulled the article from Golf Monthly it’s become one of my favorite sources of golf it’s just different i think it’s just straight down the line um yeah you know their their coverage just seems to be a little more balanced a lot less um sensational um when you look at some of the the bigger names in in golf social media golf you know,.com Zireolf all for the clicks so golf monthly iss more straight down the line so zero torque putters are all the rage these days um we recently saw the Tailor Made Spider um be released to the masses or at least up for pre-order now apparently I didn’t know this but that Brian Harmon’s been playing kind of like a custom version of this for the longest period of time i just don’t think we connected the dots there or it just zero torque though i looked it up it It was connected to an article it was zero torque um but Golf uh monthly rated the kind of best um you know zero torque putters according to them uh and they put the this particular version of the Lab Golf um putter at the top um overall best value you’re going to spend $600 for a Lab putter i I think that’s the biggest downside and they’re they’re going to show up twice on this list i think also until they enter the conversation as a PA tour winner I’m going to remain skeptical we’ve seen um Ricky Fowler try two different versions he was in a brand new new version this week um than he was the previous week so I mean keep it ricky was Ricky was like an elite putter just three years ago at with a blade with the BL it just looks so smooth i mean it’s it’s like he’s gotten the yips out of nowhere um but anyway so Lab putter is their number one pick and I think again they they have kind of popularized this genre of putter which is taking over yeah uh of course this one the Odyssey kind of square to square Jailbird i I am intrigued by this one uh the Jailbird in general I think it’s just an attractive putter um I I love the contrast i love the the shaping of it the alignment dots everything about it and then kind of you add the zero torque version of it i I’m I’m intrigued i think I haven’t I haven’t made a lot of changes to my bag recently um honestly in the last year I don’t think I’ve had any changes putter is one that I think I feel like I want to make here soon and I think just been a while you know it it really has i mean I’ I’ve had the same putter probably for the last six years honest and gone back and forth between even an older i was about to say listen I think it’s been like 10 years if I’m being honest bro but you’re right that spider yeah that spider’s spider’s like six or seven years yeah so it’s time for me to get some feels uh here’s the other one this one popularized by Lucas Glover and remind me before we get off of this to talk about Lucas Glover and his honesty um again I don’t like this one either this looks like a big spaceship oh has that [ __ ] too yeah in blue in blue um of course the latest and greatest uh one that we mentioned right off the top the Taylor K tailor made Spider i don’t like the squatty look of it but you know it’s going to get some run um I think Han Ryu actually won the Black Desert Classic with this putter so she was utilizing it um so it it’s going to get some run and I think Taylor made um say what you will has found a way i mean with Ty you know not Tiger but uh with Rory and um Scotty both winning with the Spider it’s really taken over and if they can start getting some wins with this one I mean who who who’s who saw Taylor May taking over the putter game i mean they’re they’re they’re on a run right now they’re on a run so this one go ahead no I mean it’s in general go ahead it’s it like it’s like a it’s like a inconclusion thought about zero to I just have a few more I think here um yeah this one’s already pre-sold on the pre-sale it’s already sold out so this one’s going to be hard to get your hands on it for quite some time this one was interesting betonardi um again we’re we’re trying to get away from the bladed putters um but this one’s interesting it’s got kind of the wider blade with the center shaft and and Betonardi you know they’re they’re a classy club maker so they’re their stuff always looks very sharp precise very nice um the the milling is always just immaculate so I’m I’m kind of digging this one what do you think no I like it too i like the the bottom i like the name of it um yeah I like the milled face i I like a lot of Bardy stuff but when when we talk about putter value and people like literally wideeyed Scotty Cameron’s putters I just don’t even have an entertainment for that because people don’t know people don’t know ball if you wanna if you want to get wideeyed about the price about putters betting already been dropping $700 putters for years what are you talking about so like if we want to talk about how pricey putters are betard been doing that [ __ ] and then lab I mean but you get you feel like you’re getting what you pay for with the bed and arty though no I agree but I feel like I’m doing that with the Scotty and the Scotty is 450 so I mean that’s what I’m saying i like people just hear a name and they want to get they want to have a re a reaction to it and not do any research on it it’s just funny to me but like I said I also enjoy the look of this putter i like bed i think the downside only downside I would say is that there’s no adjustability on the waiting when all these other ones have weight options i don’t think the Jailbird has any weight you know changes of course the lab stuff so keep it moving um this one next also next and whatever whatever e even roll is their their best firm feel which probably means I mean I I don’t like a firm feeling putter i like I like a little bit of reception off the putter but I think people would like this shape right it’s kind of It’s kind of jacking a little bit from the uh the jailbird shaping not quite as long um and it’s got kind of It’s not straight down the center it’s got a little bit of a uh plumber’s neck huzzle here so we’re not we’re not straight down the center on the uh the attachment and then PXG also looks like a spaceship i would I would never game yeah these are ugly um I’m going to pull up another one that you might like you might like it i might get you to uh convert yourself i’m going to share my screen this one I didn’t put in a slideshow just cuz it was not on the uh golf monthly offerings here but it’s from your not be favorite brands i was about to say it better not be that Gary Woodland [ __ ] no but the pink and I love I love the name the prime tine oh my god you can’t get with it even though this is one of your favorite putters it with it being a center shaft it literally just looks like it looks like a lab putter oh my god it It feels like it takes away from you for you have you hit Have you actually put one in hand and tried to hit one what are your Have you done that yet i know you ate yes I have i have i had a Nike method center shafted one a center shafted mallet oh that’s what I was going to say in conclusion i I still have my thoughts i can get to him right now if you want me to so in conclusion Tom in conclusion my thing my beef with center shafted and zero torque putters is people don’t have the actual skill level to to be able to use it when you think about the putting stroke listen when you think about the putting stroke every putting guru you’ve ever heard of talk about putting whether that be live in a lesson on YouTube on tour everything has a has an arc to it every stroke has an arc to it there is no straight back straight through when you putt on an arc you need some toe flow so you want to take you want to take variables out of it and make it able to keep the face square when people naturally are going to turn their body open the face turn their body close the face come through impact and then close the face again through when you’re doing that with a zero torque putter all you’re trying to do is accomplish one goal and that is keeping the face square which would mean I need to go out of my realm and uncomfortability and go straight out away from me down the line and out away from me again it’s an unnatural stroke you You making this sound spiritual i’m talking about out of out of out of your realm i’m talking about I’m talking about science science i’m talking about physics that’s why it’s stupid i get it but I don’t know there’s so many different variations of putter with varying toe swing so if you want to be less arc and you want to have a baby arc as and and that’s the thing as we get into the pink putter they have a whole scale there’s a slight arc there’s a major arc there’s a medium arc and then there’s a trying to have a straight putt a a straight putt flow so like there’s different putters that’s why you go to your fitter locally and get fit for the putter that works best for you in conclusion yeah that’s true that’s true but I also um like when you get to talking and people don’t even cheat right but I I don’t know like pudding to me feels very organic like it’s all to me it’s feel right um like when I start thinking about all those mechanical parts of the putt of the uh putting stroke I I feel like I’ve lost it but when I’m on like all those feelings are just natural right um you’ve seen my like current putter setup which is very narrow i I pretty much It’s probably because I’m right eye right eye dominant you know i I’ve kind of started to square my shoulders to my feet line that’s been really effective but again it keeps the the arc very natural very flowy feel like I have really good distance control with that so I don’t know like I said when you start thinking about all the technical aspects of it I feel like I’ve lost it like I’m I’m now not putting well if I’m having to think about it just that particular stroke um so that that’s me it that’s unique to me um putting is so personal it is very personal um and one of the intriguing things is I played with a guy on Sunday never played with this dude before just got matched up in a group um in kind of like a mini tour weekend tournament thing and he was using one of the golf balls from like tailor made with the big red stripe that’s like covers three4s of the ball um me I put like a little individual um you know stripe with the marker on it and again I feel like I’m really a talented putter and I get the ball turning over it it’s going end over end my my line rarely deviates this man would putt with this ball and the line would just be it looked red cuz it was just all over the place and no [ __ ] another guy I’m playing with older guy lost his filter he was like “Will you stop putting with that [ __ ] ball it’s making me seasick.” So again had lost all filter so just to kind of prove a point couple holes later the guy throws the red ball down i [ __ ] you not like a the line is at a 45° angle he hits it it starts going straight for the first time it then turns over and starts turning straight cuz he laid it down and the the lineup line was like over here it’s like dude it’s your stroke your stroke is trash fix that if nothing else this ball is indicating to you that your stroke is trash you’re cutting across it in some shape form or fashion so that’s what it’s teaching you for me it’s teaching not teaching me but it helps me take away the um the alignment part of it i read my putt i put it down on the line that I want to start it on and now I’m just focused on the distance that’s my mindset when I put but if I was someone who could not get the ball rolling end over end and I was seeing that wobble oh that would mess me up like I would not be able to concentrate but anyway the the question that I put because apparently Tailor Made is really embracing the uh the full not full ball but I think it’s like they said 110 degrees of coverage on the line i’m going to pull it up here pardon me if we buffer it’s a My Golf Spy page which they have a lot of ads so this is the alignment line for Titleist this year which I actually randomly scooped up a um AVX this year um it it’s pretty intrusive i don’t know i don’t like the triple track lineup but what are your thoughts i know you don’t putt with an alignment line at all i do it’s a short one do you just the one that comes on the ball i cover I color that in now with either black or red or whatever and that’s enough um this is way too This is Yeah this is making my brain hurt i can’t I can’t I just can’t bro i think they have some other options yeah this is the uh Touroft version of that yeah Prov left dash left dash prov they all have enhanced alignment versions as well yeah yeah I thought that was a little the the the tour didn’t look as intrusive behind the ball but that AVX one yeah pretty wild no I’m good so anyway so do what do you what do you recommend for most amateurs no no no lineup line small what What are your thoughts on that for most people unless you’re playing for money or playing um at a higher level you don’t even like again you don’t need to be putting that much thought into it you need you need to be thinking about in the general area of this for a break and then you need to be dialing in pace pace is your number one is your number one uh barrier of good and bad putting if you do not have good pace if you do not have good distance control whether I line it up or not has no has no you know importance it really doesn’t yeah if I can’t Yeah I agree if I’m lining the putt up and it’s going end over end and I made a great stroke but I hit it 15 feet pass it doesn’t matter yeah i’m gonna without naming the person somebody that I care about deeply and I think is an amazing person um and golfer saw I didn’t play with him but saw a score that he shot a 78 with 40 putts and I was like my god that could have been a an amazing round or even par or close to even par just by hitting by making two putts every hole again this is a round with a lot of greens hit but if you just two putt on every hole you’re going to end up with 36 putts so that means there were three putts in the mix and other you know assorted things i was just like that could have been a really special round um so I agree especially when when it pertains to most amateurs maybe not so much worry about holding out putts but getting it in a three-foot circle twoft circle if you can you know start dialing it in even tighter than that but I I would I would tend to agree with your idea that most people don’t have the hands um to to haul out a lot of putts and the technique can be wonky so just dial in the distance that should be the primary primary thought even if you’re off left or right you can recover if your distance control is is good enough so anyway bro that’s it for golf stuff this week unless Oh I’m not going to let myself forget um Lucas Glover so we’re talking about Scotty early on going back to the PJ Championship we saw Rory and namely Scotty have their drivers taken out of play their primary drivers and Lucas Glover said he was surprised that neither one of them um didn’t present their backup driver essentially um which he said most players that he he knows about have a backup driver that they present to the testing authority as one that they’re not using all the time not their gamer so it has remained in compliance and they’re like “Oh yeah this is the one here you go.” The face is generally going to comply because it’s not being hit that often what did you think well I know what you think about his honesty um but yeah what are your thoughts on that as a whole i mean I thought it was refreshing and again I just like he mentioned just like Scotty mentioned everybody should be getting tested whether you’re the 150th ranked player or the number one ranked player if you on the tour everybody needs to be on the same playing field i’m playing a hotter face and I don’t get tested because I’m the number two golfer huh but number 78 who’s battling for his card in the playoff birth he gets tested and he gets his [ __ ] taken or or or vice versa that you know the top players get to avoid it yeah I think the testing felt from what he what what’s been described about it seems really inconsistent or just not as it’s not as fervent as it should be like they should be putting more more bodies into testing um clubs week in and week out right plus liars like he said people people just be bringing up oh like hey this is the one just Yeah yeah i mean out of my closet last week but this is the one I use you can’t tell me that there aren’t there aren’t players and we know this to be true there’s going to be a player that’s literally out there intentionally reducing the thinness of their face and pushing the limits artificially not through normal wear and tear but legitimately using mechanical methods to thin out their face there’s just no way you can’t tell me that there’s a handful of players out there trying to get that advantage and doing it on purpose we We know that there’s the guys we’ve seen the stories um as we live in this social media age where you know people have been called out on their cheating and you know players um you know going undercover and and and reporting to folks that um you know that guy moving it forward and um you know different things like that sorry this comment kind of took my my focus there for a second so anyhow yeah I think it’s uh a a part of the game that is needs to be more that we need to be more diligent about especially on the pro level amateurs do whatever you have a hot face you have a hot face but um competition golf or even if you hell sign up for like a uh a PGA sectional in your area should be tested if you’re if there’s accolades and money on the line there there should this is an effort that should be made um any other thoughts from me uh I mean I mean me and you as basketball aficionados is going to enjoy the finals but I know a lot of people are going to complain about it being the Thunder and the Pacers but I’m very much excited to see how it goes hopefully we get six or seven games but I don’t know if it’s going to necessarily play out that way is all I’ll say but I’m excited for the final i don’t know i legitimately feel like it could go a long way just because I think I think Indiana is going to catch Oklahoma City offguard like they’ve been doing the entire playoffs i think they’re in person has been stunning quite a few people yeah yeah and they’re catching a strat yeah on paper and it might not be that good but when you see it in flow with a smart coach a ex an adequate point guard and stuff like that what’s really gonna happen and Lou Dord ain’t got nobody to bully but Pascal Seakkum and Pascal Seakum go flop his way to the line so yeah yeah the the Indiana length could be a problem for him um being able to close out on you know his you know corner and you know shoulder you know threes that he’s been able to get off imagine Nimhard pressing um SGA putting a full court for a press on him making it difficult to bring the ball up the court n Smith yeah they that Indiana has the length to counter all I mean when you look at Oklahoma City they’re a long team outside of Dort um a lot of arms you know chat is long um you know they bring Jaylen Williams man that dude’s game is so kind of old school and refreshing to me like I I really genuinely enjoy watching that kid play ball um just kind of stays in the pocket gets what he can get has a lot of good counter moves and it’s like quick steps and go quick you know he’s not he he’s not beating the ball into the ground it’s really No so I’m I’m also looking forward to it and I agree um I don’t to me I don’t think the Knicks and uh Minnesota would have been a better final but honestly I think of the four teams that were left in the conference finals that this is probably the best matchup that we’re going to that we could have seen um amongst them so I’m looking forward to it the only thing I hate is that we have to wait until Thursday that’s it yeah honestly I think the Knicks would have got blew out if I’m being for real the Knicks have been solved the Knicks were built to beat the Celtics and that was it um Yeah truly they they they need a couple more pieces um so seeing the articles already leaking out about frustration growing with uh Carl Anthony Town’s defense and um yeah still very he is a not a locker room killer but he’s just not authentic to ball culture it’s weird i don’t know how to say it he he he might have some great games and some great moments but everything he does he does does not bear weight it does not have levity to it like nobody’s ever going to sit here and be like “Yo that moment from Cat bro like that shit’s gonna be marked in history forever.” His oh my gods are going to be marked in history forever oh yeah after all of that exactly other things are gonna be marked his name is gonna be marked because who ever really thought it was Carl D-Anthony i thought I personally thought it was Carl Anthony dash towns you know what that came out and it blew my mind i’m like ain’t no way oh lord ain’t no way well isn’t that that’s that’s that’s the the islander that’s the Caribbean yeah truly but also like when I see him try to when I see him try to be tough like when he’s hit threes and then like hits his opponent on the chest does a little slap of the chest i’m like that’s not you that’s not who you are bro like you like you’re never you’re never going to see cat towns bang a three and then g give the gun three or anything like that that’s not in your that’s not in your program sir that’s not It’s not a part of you sir it’s not in your character it’s really not it don’t feel real cuz he he’s been Caribbean he’s been from New York he’s been zesty um I I just want Carl I just want Carl to be the the true Carl um don’t put on the fake deep voice we know how you really talk bro yeah deep voice kills me bro my god but anyway looking forward to a really good finals i just want it to be competitive i don’t want to see the whole you know blowouts and um right essentially they should give them proper rest this series since we’re in the finals um I do think uh the back going every other day um kind of created a scenario where we’re seeing some crappy games and people weren’t rested the fact that they weren’t even getting a rest day in between travel from city to city I think really played a factor in the in these playoffs and I get it it was cool to see basketball every day um but the the product suffered so anyway looking forward to it looking forward to the RBC uh Canadian this week with Rory um seeing what he’s got going into the US Open um and all the things so we’ll we’ll be back at it again next Sunday sorry next Monday uh discussing the uh golf over the weekend it season is hot and heavy we we are full on golf season so um Beer Bros Golf Show signing off i’m Rod and I’m Marcus catch y’all next week
