Blue Ridge Trail
The Blue Chip Ladies Golf League played for “Low Par 5s” on May 20. The winners included Janet Kresge, first flight; Mary Perchak, second flight; Donna Bartoletti, third flight; and Sue Pohutski, fourth flight.
Chip-ins were made by Deb Charnichko on Blue 5, and Mary Landis on Trail 2.
On May 27, the Blue Chip Ladies played for “Tee to Green.” Winners were Kerrie Wincek, first flight; Mary Landis, second flight; Helen Rava, third flight; and Donna Owca, fourth flight.
The following people made birdies: Wincek on Blue 3, Ridge 7 and Ridge 8; Janet Kresge on Blue 3 and Blue 4; and Mary Perchak on Ridge 9. Paula Winchester made a chip-in on Blue 3.
On June 3, the Blue Chip Ladies played for “Best Back Nine.” The winners included Kerrie Wincek, first flight; Donna Grobelny, second flight; Donna Bartoletti, third flight; and Sue Pohutski, fourth flight.
Mary Perchak made a birdie on Ridge 2, and Paula Winchester had a chip-in on Ridge 2.
Hole-in-one
Bob Roberts, of Kingston, made a hole-in-one on the135-yard 17th hole at Irem Country Club. He used a seven iron to record his fifth ace.
Witnessing the shot was Mike “Sparky” Sharok, Tom Gauntlett and Dr. Chuck Brand.
