Bryson DeChambeau shared a request Donald Trump had when the two spent time at the White House.
The LIV Golf star recently was in Washington to meet with the president, with the two showering each other with praises throughout. DeChambeau likened Trump to Tiger Woods while the president named the 31-year-old one of the top two golfers in the world.
Speaking to reporters at LIV Golf Virginia, DeChambeau spoke on a myriad of topics, including his visit to the White House. Specifically, the LIV Golf star revealed a request Trump had for DeChambeau as the two spent time together in the nation’s capital.

“Hitting in the White House was incredibly special,” DeChambeau said. “I never thought I would ever in my life get an opportunity to do it, but the President himself was like, ‘Just go out there and hit some shots.’ I was like, ‘OK, yes, sir.’
“It was quite the experience. It was 105 yards and I hit a few good shots to a couple feet and almost made a few of them, too.” The 31-year-old revealed his outing with Trump as he spoke about his extremely hectic schedule, leading some to ponder if DeChambeau has time to rest.
After hitting golf balls at the White House and being around the track at the Indy 500, DeChambeau gave an insight into how he attempts to balance his schedule while also competing in LIV tournaments around the world.

“How do I find time to sleep? I actually sleep quite well,” he admitted when asked how he was able to rest amid his hectic schedule. “It’s a lot of planning. We prepare, strategize and execute accordingly with these game plans, and when things work based upon other people’s schedules.
“Flying the helicopters and going to the salt flats in Utah for ‘Bucked Up’ was really fun. And then hitting golf balls off the salt flats, I literally picked up salt from the salt flats and I have it in my house.
“I’m using it for some of the meals I’m using, so I’m literally using it, which is really cool.”

In the end, DeChambeau explained how properly planning out events and his schedule has helped him immensely to balance out his life, which also allowed him to fit in time with the president.
“But I’d say a lot of it’s just preparation, making sure that I can get the right rest so I’m ready for the next day. I still got to do my job, which is make sure my game is in top form. I monitor that, and if I’m not hitting the ball very well I focus more on that; and if I’m hitting it really well, I focus more on some side quests,” he concluded.
While spending time with Trump, DeChambeau also likened the president to Woods, who he deemed to be the “ultimate competitor.” “[Woods is] somebody that is rarely unfazed,” he began.
“I played with him in the 2017, 2018, and 2019 time frame. You could tell there was a difference, a presence difference. Much like yourself, Mr. President. You walk into an area, and it is just different. He has had that aura about him.”
