Hi Craig, have you heard the story about whenever Tiger went to the practise range at a tournemount ? They had to account for every ball he hit, so if he hit 100 Nike balls they had to collect 100 Nike balls. There was a strong rumour that the ball was a Pro V1 that had been oversprayed with the Nike Logo and they were scared of someone finding out . Hence collecting every ball up . To back up this alegation , Tiger was once spotted using a Titleist driver even though he was contracted to be using a Nike driver. Same with his irons, strong rumours that they were Muira irons with Nike stuck over the top
I played the Nike RZN Red & Platinum ball for a few years , I loved the Red , was good ball for swing speeds under 100 !!!

Top Flite Strata came before the Nike ball and should get the credit for starting the 3piece Golf Ball revolution that ProV1 gets all the credit for.
Why are you bothering to cut up balls that sold for $16 per dozen as some comparison against Pro V1's? Waste of time.
I read that the ball in the Masters, was actually a Bridgestone. And that the Nike Stripe was put on to satisfy sponsorship deals. Anyone hear the same?
I used the NIKE Blacks for a long time. They were fantastic!!!!
Prov1 was basically a bridgestone golf ball and they lost a huge legal battle to bridgestone and was ordered to pay a large compensation and a percentage of future sales of the prov1
Hyper-flight was my favorite ball ! Then it took till this year for me to try the AVX ! Lovely day !
Its rumored that Bridgestone actually made the ball he was playing the last few years and let nike use it cause Nike was a bigger brand at the time

Outer layer of the first ball is really off center. Bryson would say that ball is out of balance. Wonder if they are all that way? Would be nice to see how super tiger would have done with the now old wound balata balls?

Find and cut a Nike Tour Accuracy TW, that was the ball that changed the game and caused Titleist to jump thru their butts to make a new ball. And it's actually Bridgestone that "made" the ball for Nik'E. Not sure if Nike ever made their own balls or just paid Bridgestone to do it lol. The 3 you cut up where the bottom of the barrel balls. Would love to see a ProV 392 vs a Tour Accuracy TW that would be a great video, and Mark O/Mera won 2 Majors with the Strata before that, so they could be credited as the first but, they were not know as "Quality", so no one took them seriously
The tour accuracy was a hell of a ball, it spun so well but was not durable
It was Bridgestone that made those balls anyway…
