[Music] how’s it going guys I’m Connor from running warehouse and I’m here with Scott from saky and Scott today we’ve got some new Super Shoes this is what gets me excited and the Endorphin collection has been around for a while now we’re seeing it in Spike form with the LD and the XC tell us about these shoes and what makes them so special yeah really excited to be able to expand the Endorphin collection to include both track and cross country for fall of 25 and spring of 26 so if we start with the Endorphin XE which is in your hand so the the big thing that we’ve always had is we’ve had a really good following from this community of Runners you know whether they’re high school kids Collegiate athletes people that are looking to set PRS in uh road races but also when it comes to being on the track and being on the cross country course and so it was time for us to be able to come out with carbon plated spikes so to begin with next fall of 25 we’re going to be able to introduce a CrossCountry Spike that has a carbon plate and there’s some really great features that I’m excited to talk about with you today so when we start with the outsole you’re actually going to see a nice rubber outsole that’s all one material that’s got a division through the heel for a little bit of ad adaptation the other thing that you’ll notice is that you’ve got six grommet screw in screws so that you can use either a list you can screw in blanks or you can use whatever Spike you want additionally you’ll actually see the visibility of the carbon plate that you’ll see extends back on both the medial and the lateral side and the idea with that is that it’s going to allow some adaptation so you have torsional adaptation through midfoot that allows that Runner to be able to have their best exp experience while they’re out on the on the race course and that’s a good call out because not all carbon plates are equal and when you’re on uneven terrain like what you see in Cross Country you don’t necessarily want a ful length uh carbon plate that is super rigid you want to have a little bit of flexibility but at the same time still have enough torsional rigidity to um really work well with the super foam and that leads us to the most exciting part of the shoe the foam what do we have here yeah so the midsole compound is going to be incred run which is the new material debuting for saky in 2025 and incred run is our most premium midsole compound it’s the most premium foam and the unique thing about that is that it is going to be extremely durable it has an extremely high rebound uh which is going to be close to 96% and then it’s also really lightweight so excited to introduce it into our spikes and now Scott you’re hyping up this foam quite a bit and I think for the viewers at home they’re going to say how good is incon how different is it than other super Foams on the market and I will say I’ve ran a lot in the Elite 2 now and this foam really is different it’s something special I don’t know what you guys did but the soft bouncy experience is just super fun to run in and now it’s excited to see it in a little bit lower profile shoes in the spike see that performance we saw on the road trickle on over onto the track and cross country now ing the XC version together what do we have in the upper yeah so with the upper it’s a pretty simple package we tried to keep this really minimal so that we weren’t putting too many materials on the upper the main change that I would point out is two things number one is you’re going to see a single layer upper so you’ll see like how you can see into that exoskeleton and the way that it’s designed both the medial and lateral side with that vizzy yellow that’s shining through and then the second thing is that single layer mesh is a hexagon mesh that’s got a nice uh wax finish to it so it’s going to be really durable in those more extreme conditions that cross country athletes are exposed to yeah and over the past couple years we’ve seen a lot of athletes where their track super spikes for cross country because there weren’t a lot of options now it’s exciting to see cross country specific shoes that are built for the toughest of conditions now when we move on over to the track we’ve got another exciting option here and I think just looking at it we have that midsole compound that we saw in the XC version that incred run running through the shoe but what separates the shoe is the outsole plate can you tell us about this absolutely so when we are looking at the Endorphin LD we had to approach this differently than we were looking at the Endorphin XC uh really you’re talking about a different environment because you’re on the oval you’re running fast so our approach to the design of this is going to be a little different first when we started the outsole you’ll notice that that that carbon plate is going to be right next to the surface that you’re running on this is going to be a permanent six pin carbon plate that’s a teardrop formation so because you’re running on a constant surface we wanted to create that more aggressive feel that’s up through the forefoot but extends back into midfoot and you can actually see that exposed through midfoot there so that’s going to allow you to really stay up on your toes and is really encouraged again with that more aggressive speedroll design in the forefoot too yeah and just taking a little bit deeper dive at this outsole you’ve got all this micro traction that really helps to just really dial in that traction component the perap pins are interesting now I’ve heard two sides of the story some people are looking for options to switch out spikes but the disadvantage of that is it’s heavier and you have to change the spike played around that maybe isn’t quite as ideal for performance it seems like here this spike is built for elite level performance so that perap pin design is probably the best option yeah you’re right I mean we have worked with so many different levels of athletes to gain feedback about what plate we want to put into final production so I think some of the beauty that you find with this is like when you talk about that level of traction is a is a really unique design for a carbon plate You Don’t See that that often typically we’re seeing carbon plates embedded so it’s just pointing out the evolution that has been able to happen with carbon additionally like there was a lot of conversation about permanent pyramid spikes being used on the shoe and it’s such a benefit from a weight standpoint as well as a durability standpoint of like what we’re able to accomplish with the final production of the shoe for it to be under 5 O and have a carbon plate is pretty uh pretty impressive yeah you know Scott I’ve worn Perma pins before they’re durable they’re made out of titanium I think as long as you use them for their intended purpose they’re going to last longer than the life cycle of the shoe now moving on up we’ve talked about the foam compound this shoe like the XC version is using the incred Run soft bouncy fun we don’t need to go into it anymore because it’s a fantastic application of a completely new compound excited for that but the big change over this and the XC is going to be the upper what do we have yeah so one of the other variables is going to be the upper of the shoe and you’ll notice that the different material that we’re using specifically addressing the track environment versus like a CrossCountry environment so when you’re running on the oval one of the things that we really want to do is minimize weight and so on the Endorphin LD you’ll find that we did a knit upper so this going to be very similar to the level of knit material that we’re using on the Endorphin Elite 2 which also comes out in 2025 but when you do like a really close look at this you’ll see just how lightweight that material is that’s going to surround the foot and it really keeps the weight of the upper the shoe at a minimum level yeah when I saw this upper that was the first thing I thought of was the Elite 2 I’ve really enjoyed that upper I think sometimes over the years knits have been used in different applications sometimes you think they’re heavier or maybe doesn’t have the right fit the knit that’s used in this shoe is phenomenal the lock down the lightweight everything about it is amazing so uh this is probably one of my favorite applications of nit so I’m glad it’s used here in this fight yeah we’re really excited for these to debut in 2025 we will have the Endorphin XC just in time for cross country training it’ll come out in July of 2025 and then the Endorphin LD will be released in October just in time for indoor season perfect if you’re looking to try out any of the latest s super spikes for yourself you’ll be able to find them here at running Warehouse [Music]
