The European Swing returns this week as the DP World Tour heads to Belgium for the Soudal Open. After a week’s break for the US PGA Championship, the European Swing picks back up in Belgium. With just one event played so far at the Turkish Airlines Open, the champion at Regnum Carya Martin Coubra is the man to catch. Only two Belgians have ever played in the Ryder Cup and both of those home heroes are in the field this week. Recent first-time DP World Tour winners Martin Couvra and Marco Penge are also both in action, with 14 winners so far this season teeing it up in Belgium.

Welcome to the Official YouTube channel of the DP World Tour. Every week you can find extended tournament highlights and individual player highlights from the likes of Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood. This is also the home of the 14 Club Challenge, Little Interviews, Fastest Hole and many more challenges, pranks and world record attempts featuring the biggest golfers in the world.

[Music] [Applause] Oh, that’s perfect. That’s a great angle for the flag as well. Not on this occasion. That’s a shocker. one under par and what a round he’s had out there today. A 64 for Jordan. This his approach to 18. Yeah, first time the flag’s been on the right hand side this week. Virtually nothing left for the birdie. And in it goes. Flawless golf around a 64. Ties the course record, but more importantly, it’s a massive move. Pitch it hole high. Skid forward. Spin back. Didn’t quite get the spin. Actually got any spin at all. That would have been really good. That looks more like a five iron for Perry. They’re hitting sevens here early in the week when it’s warm. Just clambered over the water. Really straight at it. Pretty straight part this up the green on two. Poor Perry. Oh, get there. Get there. Oh, he has got the great two for Parry. Losing to a tie for second with that. Another double glover. Seeing a bit more of it, aren’t we? In the rain. See if it works. Oh, yeah. There you go. Go and buy yourself a couple of gloves in the pro shop, everybody. Robinson Thompson for birdie on four. Straight up the hill here. They’ve been squeezing this green trying to get the moisture off. Will it get there? It does this time. Excellent. Just lost his way a little bit with what he describes as his favorite club in the bag. Lon does make the birdie at four. So, he’s back where he started the day. Good angle. You’d expect this one to be close. First test then for Ferguson keeps the run going. No bogeies. [Applause] Yeah, I can’t really comment on that sort of psychology. I normally bogeied the first most days. A nice stroke from Vandreel. Very good after those two opening bogeies to Brandon Robinson Thompson to get to nine under this at the par five fifth. We saw the chip shot. Nicely done. Two in a row. Four and five for Brandon. So he’s within a couple of the lead. So he’s making on average less than one in 10. But this is better than the one in 10. And that is a superb birdie. And great timing as well. Oh, make that three. My goodness me. That is a bonus. And that sends you to the 10th T. The tough 10th. The hardest hole on the course with a bit of a spring in your step. Right. Come on, Marco. Time to get a move on. That’s a good start. You got to reset. He’s done that on the fourth T. Just on the right side here, isn’t he? Is it going to come back? Yes, it does. Nice up and down. A nicely fashioned second shot. It makes 51% of these and that’s why that’s a lovely smooth stroke. Got to start somewhere. It’s a nice birdie. That’s a step forwards and as Jamie said, he’s got a par five to come which he can reach easily. Good access to the back of the ball and what about halfway. Tidy work. Oh, it’s better than tidy work. My goodness me. A lovely golf shot from Darius. What a great effort that is. Doesn’t hold too many from that sort of range, but that is three birdies in the first six holes and just a a half a wedge. Oh, that’s lovely. There you go. This is another low one. Another goodlook shot. This heat guy is really hitting good iron shots in these tough conditions. Yeah, that for me is the shot of the day so far. Once again to 12 Guido Milotsi. Horrid day for the Italian. Quick down the hill, keep going. Well, you know, crazy game, isn’t it? Horrible day. And then you make a 45 footer with 6 ft of break. Look at that front nine. That’s excellent. That really is. That is a grinding bar four. I think he likes it the way he’s staring at it. Oh, so he should. Right at it. Some of the best we’ve seen here at 10. [Applause] Oh yes. Pours it in the front. Ties the lead. John Perry. Fourth bird of the day. Stay. Good one. Stay. Top quality from Marco Pench. Well, he’s driven it magnificently today. And another absolute ripper. Okay. Hello. Oh, lovely stuff from Yos Lton. He dropped a shot at 14. He gets it straight back at the 15th. He’s back to five under par. He’s waged it brilliantly this week. Oh, we got to bounce forward. Take that. Marco Pench. Great shot. It’s for birdie on the last. It’s a could have been round for Sullivan. Oh, it did go in the hole. That gentleman be very pleased. 68 for Sully. That’s a two shot swing between these two on that hole. Pench moves to eight under. All of a sudden he is back within four shots. Well, brilliant. Absolutely. That putter has come to his rescue a couple of times today now. Right. Benge. Well, the rhythm looked good. right at it. John Perry laid up from the right rough at 17. Third shot, 90 yards to go. His distance control has been superb. And again, another one. This will make Dendins taste better. [Music] Got a chance. Got a chance. He’ll be back. Marco, look out for him all year. He’s had a taste of it, hasn’t he? With the win in China, the breakthrough victory at the Heinand Classic and then that wonderful performance, which he said finishing top 30 last week and knowing that he could compete with the world’s best was like a win for him. It’s time to tap my feet. Come on, Euan. Well, really tough to get the distance correct here. Really tough. And this is superbly well done. It’s better than that. That is absolutely [Applause] brilliant. The last round of 69 for you Ferguson. Andy Scott will take a twoshot lead into the final round of the Sudal Open. you and well done 69 for the 54 hole lead. You said Saturday was a day for hanging in there. So just how patient did you have to be today? Yeah, very patient. Um to be honest with you, my range session was awful. It was so cold. My hands were freezing and I was like hardly finding the middle of the face and I was thinking it was going to be a long day which it was. But I think when you get out there and you just like feel the kind of vibe of the people around you and I was playing with Marco who’s good friend. We just kind of well tried to enjoy as much as we could even though the weather was was bad and just hung in there really all day. Didn’t wasn’t pretty. just you know teeing my ball down and just kind of squishing drivers just trying to find the fairway. Not nothing like that pretty to watch but um yeah Saturday just keep yourself in there. I mean like I said you can lose it on a Saturday can’t you? But you you can’t win it. Some great pass saves today. How important were they? Yeah. So good. I think every day um been working quite a lot on realize recognizing like the parts of the round were going to be sticky cuz sometimes I’m a bit guilty of just thinking I’m going to go out there and it’s just going to be easy all day and we kind of enjoy it. Um there’s always like parts of the round even yet the last two days I know I was I was bogey free but there was parts of the round where I was like oh this is the part where I need to like really grind out these five footers or try and get up and down and almost do it ugly cuz I think I like to try and you know make it look good and it’s just not like that in this game. So yeah, it was, you know, grinded away so well. Couple of the putts that I knew like that little middle part in the back n like this is my we ugly part and just need to try and really just, you know, give myself a chance for par and yeah, done that and, you know, put made some nice putts to keep me feeling like I was scoring better. You said grinding out pars is something you actually really enjoy doing, you know, playing a lot of your golf in Scotland. So what score is a good score on a day like today? Honestly, before I was playing, I was thinking level par was was awesome. uh just with how like how easy it was to make a bogey. The wind was different as well. So some of the holes from before what I felt were easy were almost like really tough today like nine and you know eight and like some of the holes that were short hitting iron like five four iron off te wedges and all of a sudden today I’m hitting three woods and seven irons which is really tough to wrap your head around but um yeah like I said yesterday and stuff I love just trying to grind making a part. It’s a nice feeling when you got a five footer like come on let’s make this and you’re kind of ping around the hole just trying to knock it in there and um Yeah, it’s I felt like I done so well today just holding my keeping my head and just grinding away cuz it was such was a day where you could really let it go. Talk me through your decision to use your putter off the green on the 18th there because obviously it was a decision that paid off well. Yeah. Well, um my second my I wasn’t in a nice lie on my second shot. It was in a we bit of a little bit of a kind of crevice and I when I hit it out, you know, the spin was all over the place when I got down there. There was mud all over my ball. um not from a mud ball but just like sandy and I thought didn’t fancy getting the the 60 under it and it might come out a bit a bit funny. Um and I just knew my worst part was going to go to like 5 ft. So I thought I fancy my chances from 5T today cuz I was making them and uh nearly went in. So yeah, it was good. You’ve led four times after round three and you’ve converted two of those wins. So what can you take from those experiences that you can bring into tomorrow? Uh just the fact that I know I can do it. You know, sometimes it’s tough to like I guess the first three times, well, the first one I was like, you don’t actually believe you can cross the line or you can handle the pressure. But, you know, even like getting in this position, I think it’s a little bit of a win on its own. I’ve said that before, but I do I do believe like dealing with what you dealt with today was good. And then, um, tomorrow is just kind of more of the same. Just hang in there all day. Just try and keep myself feeling all right, you know? Um, so many people trying to support me. Um, I work hard at it and I feel like this is why. So, just go out and see what I can do. And if not, well, I’ll see you back next back next week in Austria. We go and keep warm. Yeah. Thanks very much. Cheers. I’ll see you later. Thanks, guys. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. And to subscribe, click here.

  1. At last… coverage of drives, second, approach and putts rather than just putts! Well done 👍

  2. “There you go folks, go to the proshop and buy 2 gloves” I take it Jamie Spence hasn’t experienced playing in the rain over the last decade?🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
